[.Fel essence description] Known as a particularly stable poor metal, bismuth is relatively common. This particular piece of bismuth is crystalline and exhibits the characteristic rainbow sheen when light reflects off its surface, but is also very different from the many others in existence. Its shape is constantly changing, shifting, like a restless child who cannot sit still. It is constantly reabsorbing and growing new crystals, and never ceases in its almost obsessive movement. Due to its unusually high diamagnetism, it floats in its glass jar and seems to repel small objects that are placed near it.

NOTE: Eden would not start with all these powers unless she has a very high Magic stat. She would start with Fairy Ring (no transport) and a weak form of Force Fields, and then develop them and discover the others as she ages.
Shape Shifting (Active): Eden is able to shift her shape and appearance. Larger changes take a lot of energy and she may need a significant meal afterward, so she favors maintaining smaller changes for longer periods of time. She is only able to change existing matter at any stage, which means she cannot make legs but can alter the appearance of her ribbon. However, a “tell” of some sort is always present. The most common are differences in eye color and a mismatch in movement patterns. After all, her own personality and habits cannot be perfectly disguised.

Force Fields (Active): As a result of the bismuth’s high diamagnetism, Eden is able to create small force fields. These are not so much defensive as offensive, used to push things and people away. As a Frei the force is small, coming across more like a nudge and its strength is relative to the weight of an object. As she grows, her power would increase and she may be able to throw extremely heavy objects long distances or manipulate the magnetic fields around objects other than herself.

Fairy Ring (Active): Eden can create small patches of flora by touching her hand or ribbon to soil or grass. She can create fairy rings by moving in a circle, or simply leave trails or patches otherwise. When she leaves a patch or ring, any surrounding plant life will be rejuvenated and brightened considerably. As such, she will often resort to using this power to this end, simply to brighten things up a bit. These flowers will eventually fade and disappear if not formed as a ring, and the effect on the environment will last a bit longer.

Fairy Transport (Active): By using previously-created fairy rings of her own design, Eden can teleport between them, with a small range at first. She cannot use naturally occurring rings or those created by fae, and these rings pose no danger to humans or others that may come across them. Without her aid, an explorer would be unaffected when touching or stepping into one of Eden’s rings. If she were to do so with them, paired transport might be possible with considerable focus. This takes quite a bit of energy, however, and she tries to avoid it as much as possible.

[.Personality]
Eden is warm, friendly, and charismatic. She loves to socialize, and possesses a steady air of energy and life. In a gentle flow of constant motion, she habitually shifts her “weight” or moves her wings. She changes her mind often and has a constant need for novelty. If she deems anything boring, Eden will simply abandon it. She stops listening if she’s not concerned, and stubbornly resists any instruction that doesn’t interest her. Despite intimacy with friends, Eden inadvertently maintains some distance with others. She doesn’t grasp the “give-and-take” of relationships and is often chastised for being nosy or asking too many questions.

The nymph enjoys toying with others whether it’s flirting or harmless pranks. She’ll play coy and deny anything, but it’s all in good fun and she does know when to stop. Unfortunately, she often uses these methods to manipulate others and get her way. Eden is hedonistic; she’s out for herself and will do whatever she wants whenever she wants.

Eden favors those she considers beautiful and adores luxury. She is vain, taking great care in her appearance despite feeling confident. She is extremely critical of others’ appearances, and often invites herself to fix them. She knows, however, not to be rude if it’s undeserved, and will only vocalize her criticisms if asked or provoked. She’s always honest, but tries to be gentle. Unfortunately, being judgmental leads to lots of gossip and secretive chatter. It’s rarely mean-spirited but still a nasty habit that Eden needs to break.

NAME : Ian Taylor Flynn.
GENDER : Male.
AGE : Thirty-one.
OCCUPATION : Self-employed florist. His shop, Thistle Do Nicely, is small but is luckily located ona very well-traveled street in downtown Barton.
RACE : Human – Irish descent.
LIKES : Design, color, flowers, music, animals, reading, and sleeping in late.
DISLIKES : Crowds, severe weather, bad smells, disorder, being the center of attention, and complete darkness and/or silence.
LOOKS : Wiry in build, Ian stands at around 5’10” with broad shoulders and long limbs. His skin is far with a light sprinkle of freckles across his cheeks and shoulders. He spends time outside when he can, but can’t seem to tan unless he’s burned. His caramel brown hair is often boyishly messy and has a red hue when in direct sunlight. Ian’s eyes are a light hazel color that leans more toward green than gold. Usually, he can be found smiling. His sense of style is usually simple and comfortable but tailored and well-fitted, given that he works most days.

PERSONALITY : Ian's feelings dictate almost everything he does. Their accuracy varies, but he trusts them as a doctor would his instruments. Because of this, Ian is heavily influenced by and aware of things around him. For example, he is often quick to pick up on tensions between others and becomes anxious.

Ian is an artist at heart, sensitive and friendly and highly in tune with his world. Underneath that friendly exterior, Ian is a very emotional person, but can be difficult to get to know because of social anxieties. He is pleasant and personable when conducting business, and he enjoys being around others, but you'll have to work if you want to get closer. However, it is easy to see that Ian is kind and gentle. He is a loyal friend, and won't hesitate to help when he feels he is needed. He is more likely to wait until approached, but if the situation is serious he has no problems being proactive.

He also has a strong set of moral values, but they may not always be in accordance with society's rules. He trusts his gut intensely, and will often have a hard time going against it. Ian's goals are more centered on personal fulfillment than material accomplishments; his main reason for opening his shop was to be able to do what he wanted for a living his own way. That's not to say Ian isn't concerned with money, it's just not his main motivation.

HISTORY : Ian grew up with his parents and sister in the suburbs of Barton with two dogs and two cats. His parents bought a modest two-story home and Ian was born shortly afterward. He was cherished and loved, nearly spoiled, but soon was taught to work for what he wanted. He drew on everything, and enjoyed playing outside. He especially loved helping his mother with the garden, with all the different flowers. His younger sister Caroline came along when Ian was seven, but she proved to be much more serious than her older brother and preferred reading over horseplay. Ian was confused at first, having been the center of his parents' attention for so long, but grew to care deeply for Caroline.

In college, he majored in botany and business, determined to become a florist after years of entertaining his love of plants. He was fascinated by the beauty of flowers and the reactions they provoked in others. He got through school with a decent GPA and a low amount of debt, thanks to hard work on scholarships. After a few years of working various jobs, he now owns a small flower shop underneath a two-bedroom apartment in downtown Barton. Ian has started to notice a lack of companionship in his life, but romantic relationships are difficult. After providing flowers for a Lab party, Ian has taken an interest in Raevans; he believes he can provide a stable and supportive home, and single-parent adoption is rare.
