She smiled. "Mm, how thoughtful of you," she said and stretched, watching him as he moved. She liked the way he walked....despite what they had just spent hours doing together. She laughed at his question and smirked. "Amani, my love, you had best start working out," she chuckled and kissed him softly.

Dinner arrived shortly thereafter, and they spent the next hour feeding each other bits of food. The trays that were brought were covered in all manner of delicacies from around the known world. There were a few though that were absent, and he wondered if Esha had ever tasted their like. "Esha, have you ever eaten a Gobi mellon, or a Sendran date? If not, simply wish for them, and I will make them appear for you. I believe you will be very pleased with their flavor."

She loved this time with him, easy and relaxed. She was so glad he'd agreed to spend more time with her. "Oh? They sound delicious. Very well, then, I wish for these fruits," she said with a smile. She was willing to try anything as long as it came from him.

Suddenly, the mellons and dates appeared on one of the trays before them. He reached for one of the dates and held it before her, waiting for her to take it in her mouth. Then he proceeded to break open the mellon. Juice spilled from its interior. "They say that the meat of this mellon is an aphrodisiac. Perhaps we should wait until tomorrow night to sample its flesh." He winked at her as he said it, knowing full well that he had just enticed her into eating the fruit. He licked the juice from his paw, and lying on his belly, he began to inch his way toward her. "Come here my sweet goddess. Let me share this luscious nectar with you."

She gasped softly when the fruit suddenly appeared and she smiled, taking the date from his paw. "Mmm, that is delicious," she murmured, licking her lips. She watched him break open the melon, curious about it. "It certainly smells divine," she purred, then blushed as he revealed what she thought must have been his true purpose in wanting her to taste the melon. "Oh really?" she said and chuckled, setting the tray aside and moving closer to him.

As she reached him, he dipped his paw in the juice of the melon again, and held it out to her. "Taste this and know true bliss my sweet. This is truly the food of the gods, and it is only right that I should share it with you, goddess of my dreams." He had waited so long to be here with her like this. He waited for her to touch her tongue to his paw, knowing the sensation it would send shooting through his body.

She smiled seductively and flicked her tongue out to lick the juice from his paw. The juice was sweet and like honey on her tongue. "Mmm, truly it's as you say," she murmured. "What other food could be worthy of your lips?" she said and smiled.

She was true to form, teasing him with her coy words and sweet lips. They spent the better part of the night sampling various fruits, and then watched the sun come up over the horizon from her balcony. With the new day came new responsibilities, and he realized that even though she had been gracious enough to let him use some of her genies to relieve his work load, there were still more wishes then those few genies could handle, and it was his job to sort them out. He lifted his head from where he had been resting on her forelegs and said, "I must leave you for a time my beautiful Esha, but fear not, I shall return. There is work I must see to, and I cannot do it from here. Promise me you will not take another in my place while I am gone, and I will grant you your hearts desire upon my return."

The night had been perfect, and she could not remember a time she had been this blissfully happy. And then the sun rose and their time came to a temporary end. She sighed softly as he told her he had to leave her. She chuckled softly at his request of her. "Promise me you will return as soon as you can, my love," she countered, teasing with the light in her eyes. She would never be able to replace him in her heart, but she had to keep him on his toes, didn't she? "And when you make good on that promise, my heart's desire will have already been granted."

"That is a promise I will most assuredly keep. Try not to become too bored in my absence. If you have need of me before my return, simply wish for me to be by your side, and I shall come at once." Before she could reply, he was gone, and all that remained in his place was a small cloud of smoke that dissipated within seconds of his departure.

She smiled at him, then sighed as he left. She flopped back onto her pillows and lay there missing him for a few minutes before getting up and cleaning up a little. Of course she had servants who could do this for her, but it gave her something to do while she waited for his return. There were a few times she almost wished for him, but she refrained knowing that he was busy working and contented herself with the thought that soon enough they would be able to spend much more time together, especially if this worked out with his wishes and her genies.

His return home was met with silence. Though he was the god of wishes, he liked his solitude, so he chose not to have servants like Esha. That would be one thing he would have to get used to; having genies all around every moment of the day and night. He decided he would maintain his abode here, on the off chance he needed to get away by himself. As only he could, he checked on the status of the genies in their bottles, and assured himself that all was going well with their plan. Only then did he direct his attention to the myriad of wishes that were streaming into his consciousness. He had blocked them out while he was with Esha, but now he needed to sort through them, and determine which ones were worthy enough to be granted.

[This haitus has gone on long enough.] It took him the better part of two days to sort through all the wishes that had been accumulating during his time with Esha. Lucky for him, most of them were wishes that either could not be granted, or were not worthy of being granted. Too many times over the centuries, medaria made impossible wishes. Perhaps with the new strategy of using Esha's genies to grant wishes, word would spread on what wishes could not be granted, and the stream of, "I want so-and-so to love me" and "I wish for so-and-so to be alive again" wishes would decrease, or better yet, stop altogether. But he knew that day was far off, so he didn't dwell on it. Instead, he tidied up his abode and in the blink of an eye, took himself back to Esha's palace. He arrived into what he could only describe as chaos. There were genies running all over the palace. It was not the quiet, peaceful scene it had been a few days ago when he arrived. He managed to grab hold of one genie and discern from it the location of the goddess.

Esha sighed as he left her alone again, her loneliness threatening to creep up on her again. She shook it off and busied herself around her palace, checking up on her genies to make sure none were lazing about, though they really had very little to do. During her lover's two day absence, the word had gotten out that the genies would soon have another job and there was some excitement and some descent, as she had expected, but she hadn't expected this much chaos! "Shoo! Begone!" she said to the group of genies currently bothering her. She was tired of hearing it. She was their goddess and they would do as she commanded them to!

As he walked into the room, a group of disgruntled genies quickly raced passed him. He looked at Esha and could see the frustration and exhaustion on her face and in her body. He hurried to her side to see what had brought about this distressing situation. "My love, what is going on? I have never seen you so upset. Nor have I ever seen such chaos in your palace. Whatever it is, I am here to help you get things back under control. I am sorry I was away for so long. Be assured that you have me for as long as needed. Wishes can wait. If I can make things better by granting you a few wishes, you have but to ask them of me." He sat beside her and kissed her gently on the side of her face.
