NANO EVENT SOLO
Theme: Red

Bhaskar had no real direction in which he wanted to go and had no real reason as to why he was out, and so he was simply wandering the streets with no goal in mind other than to simply go for a small walk. The teenaged manifest wanted to get out of the four walls that made his apartment that had been provided for him, it was simply the wanderlust that struck many teenagers during unexpected moments. Bhaskar supposed it was a good thing that the urge to take a walk outside had struck him - it would gain him familiarity of the world around him and those that live in it. Now and again the youth would pause and watch social interactions as they took part, almost as if he was studying others in their natural habitat. It was like studying baser creatures at a holding cell of sorts, but less smelly and dangerous. Bhaskar grinned a little bit at the thought as he walked along, it wasn't as if he thought himself above those around him but he also wasn't rushing in to do what others were doing because it looked like the 'right thing' to be doing for him.

The day was a pleasant one with the sun shining brightly above with no threat of rain on the horizon. It was possibly because of the bright lighting of the day that prompted Bhaskar to wander into a nearby alleyway simply to see what he could find there. It wasn't that he had any reason - as far as he knew - to be cautious within an alleyway, as far as he knew there was nothing around that could cause him harm or make him feel remotely threatened. There was no scurry of life from pests, there were no stray animals digging around for morsels of food, and more importantly there was no people around at all - today the alley seemed to be empty other than the junk that piled here and there on the ground or in various sized trashbins waiting to be picked up by the waste disposal people. For whatever reason Bhaskar didn't just turn around and abandon the alleyway upon seeing that it was only filled with mostly inorganic garbage - mostly because something had caught his attention as he tilted his head just a bit toward the side.

It was a simple red bump sticking outside of the lip of one of the larger garbage cans.

With slow steps he walked over to a metallic garbage can that was set outside and peered over the edge inside of the can to get a better view of the red object. Bhaskar wasn't sure if he should have felt disappointed or relieved that the red item wasn't something that was bloody, but rather just a plush object in shape of a heart. The teen dragon reached in and plucked up the heart and held it in gentle hands as he looked it over for tears or other bits of marring, but found nothing. The fact that a perfectly good item that didn't have anything wrong with it (a quick sniff proved that there definitely was nothing wrong) was a little bit mystifying for him. Within Bhaskar's mind he began to build a rather dramatic story about a lover's quarrel gone wrong, the object had been a icon of love between two people. There had been a betrayal between the lovers and so the relationship had been terminated and the red colored plush was then discarded to be put into some sort of landfill later on.

Out of sight out of mind.

Bhaskar turned the heart shaped object about in his hands and found he couldn't place it down for some odd reason, "I guess you are going home with me," he murmured down at the red plushy thing and then took a quick gander in the garbage can to find nothing else of interest for him. He pouted slightly and then turned away from the garbage can and made his way out of the alleyway before anyone dubious decided to appear to try and chat to him about buying something or another - that is what they did in alleyways, right? He sort of cocked his head at the random thought as he paused outside of the alleyway. Bhaskar felt a little naive in the way things worked, but he supposed he could only learn - right?

        Maybe.

For now he decided to not worry about it and make his way toward home before he changed his mind and put the plush heart back or someone tried to take it from him that might not be the rightful owner. Not that Bhaskar felt that he could judge who was the rightful owner of this object or not, he'd have to take their word for it he supposed. It was a concern that held no importance to his current situation and so it was quickly dropped and he let his mind wander off to other things during the travel home.

Did he need to buy any food? No.
Did he need to check in with anyone today? Nah.

What was he going to eat that night? Probably a steak of some sort as usual.

The distracted muddle of thoughts shortened the walk home considerably because he was not thinking about landmarks or how long and lonely the walk home was. As he got into his apartment he gazed around the small smattering of things he'd collected so far and found that the plush item would look best amongst the other red colored things and put it there for the time being. Perhaps he would move it would be moved later but for now he felt content that the heart was safe from being accidentally torn by his own hands or by something else in his room that may have been teetering a bit too close to falling over. Bhaskar then went to the small kitchen to try and figure out what he wanted to eat for the evening all but forgetting about his new acquisition soon after placing it down - it was a common thing for the young dragon. Get a new shiny, find a place for new shiny, and then forget about the new shiny because he knew it was safe for now.
