I'm terribly sorry; I've been busy with school and I haven't had time to work on this.
Mermaids are fine, but other sea creatures (octopus, sharks, eels) should also be considered.
I think it would be a good idea, too, to create antediluvian sea monsters/creatures/dinosaurs -- more along a paleontological approach (basically human or creature manifestations of these ancient sea creatures). What do you think?

I'm not really sure what exactly you mean... doing a group that only includes dinosaurs that lived in the sea? Or a group that only has mythological sea creatures? A mix of both (which I would find confusing)?
Regular mermaids and regular mythological sea creatures like sharkmen are fine and good. We can do these for this theme.
What I meant was that I also wanted to do another theme that's about sea dinosaurs/aliens

Like human manifestations of sea dinosaurs and aliens? Not actually in the sea...?

The interpretation is up to the person. But it would be sea dinosaurs/ancient monsters (you can make up whatever it should look like; you don't need to portray a specific real-life dinosaur species). Depictions on land or in sea are both okay (some dinosaurs are marine only; others are both aquatic and terrestrial).
