News and Announcements - Some members of Dauntless wing arrived in the nick of time to rescue Kleos from a wherhold assassination attempt. Moriath was badly wounded before they arrived however, and is grounded for the time being.
- Dauntless rider Rochelle was captured by wherholders on a mission to Trine. All Dauntless riders are expected to aid in Kibeth's care until Rochelle can be rescued.
- Dauntless wing welcomes new members from Suunath and Hyweth's clutches. New riders will be mentored by an older rider of a dragon similarly sized to their own; the mentors are available for any questions or help the new riders may need. Mentoring will continue until they newly graduated Weyrlings have flown their first Fall, but may continue for as long as they feel they need.

Wing Skills Before they were riders, many members of Dauntless Wing were crafters. Such riders are strongly encouraged to share their skills with their wingmates, as indeed is anyone with a skill to share. At present once a sevenday, or more if there is enough interest, skilled people within the wing lead classes in their field. Attendance at these sessions is seldom mandatory, but Kleos will put her foot down and ensure that for example everyone comes to a session on healing.
If your rider has a skill to share please make a post in this thread describing said skill and their general teaching style.
Skill sharers
C'tis - C'tis has (grudgingly) volunteered some of his Harper skills to the wing. He will run sessions on accurate draftmanship, and basic literacy/numeracy for those who lack it. He's an impatient teacher, prone to snapping, but he's good at explaining things in a number of different ways if they first one didn't work.

I'd really love to RP Iafri and Girofleth with any of their wingmates! Iafri will need to learn that they're maybe okay people. XD She could also use some help in the literacy department, for sure.

=D How about C'tis and Mal then? They can do teaching stuff, and Mal can handle being a decent human/dragon being for both of them XD

Idris would be happy to offer her skillset to the wing!
She can help with basic literacy and such, but as a dragonhealer that's not her specialty. She's making herself available to teach emergency first aid for both humans and dragons - think basic first responder type instruction, staunching bleeding, stabilizing someone who's in shock, how to safely deal with an unconscious person, that sort of stuff. And for the newer weyrlings to the wing, she's making a point to offer advice on how to recognize signs of strain or fatigue, especially while their dragons are still young and unused to Threadfall.
She's a very calm and patient instructor, and she's open to new ideas. However, her demeanor is sometimes a little bit on the cool side - Idris doesn't take well to slacking off or idle gossip while she's working. She'll also emphasize heavily that basic first aid knowledge isn't a substitute for taking an injured person or dragon to a fully trained Healer.
