Sylvani had been gone entirely too long, but as she headed through town, six months hadn't seemed to change much of anything on the surface. The only difference was a ton of new players that she didn't recognize. One of her partners in crime, Requiem, had emailed her with information detailing the more questionable things that happened within Larmadia prior to her logging in, but she supposed for now she'd just follow everyone else's example and not dwell on Larmadia's mysteries.

She'd still be on the lookout for suspicious happenings, of course, but she wasn't going to worry constantly. It was currently calm and Sylvani tended to be a very "live in the moment" person, so she'd deal with things if and when they came up.

At the current point in time, however, what needed to be dealt with was restocking her inventory. The green and black-clad Hunter made her way through the crowd of people milling around the town's shops and spilling into the fountain plaza, aiming to quickly pick up what she needed and get out of the way. After that was accomplished, she'd find her way back out of the crowd and figure out what to do for the day. Now that she had returned, and an influx of PKs had apparently built up in her absence, perhaps it was time to start recruiting for Skyfall...

Standing beside the Fountain in The Town of Beginning, Rufus noticed a his area was generally empty. He smirked upon this miracle and sat down; intending to do an equipment check. He pulled off his knapsack, and retrieved from it a cloth. He then unloaded his unusable rifle, and placed the shells down on the cloth. Emptying his pockets, he then placed all the shells in a neat little pile and began to count them.

After about three minutes of counting and recounting his ammunition and poured all but four shells back into his pockets. Thinking about his ammo supply, the old man began frowning. Only twenty-three shells? he thought as the number 23 now floated through his mind. "Oh well, suppose it's time I make more then." he mumbled to himself as he packed the cloth into his knapsack. He needed to move to a shop to procure the last and most important part of his shells, sulfur.

As he entered the chaos of what was the crowd, he was nudged aside by a woman who had a determined look on her face. He wouldn't have paid much attention to her, had she not been a higher level player and been leaving a wake in the crowd where she had walked. Knowing the difficulty of successfully cutting through the crowd, Rufus began following her. It hadn't really mattered to him where she was going, only that she was getting somewhere through the crowded server's madness.

Initially, Sylvani didn't seem to pay any mind to the Artillerist trailing in the space left behind her. It took a bit of doing, but she kept moving and conquered the crowd soon enough, dropping an "Excuse me," here and there as necessary. Once she made it to the edge of the small sea of people, she took a few seconds to decide which line would be the shortest wait--ah, that one there only had a White Mage and a Dark Knight in it--and joined it.

Destination reached, Syl glanced around while she waited for the two adventurers ahead of her to finish their business with the shopkeeper and offered a smile when her gaze landed on the older man.

"Crazy day, huh?"

Then again, Kitsune's realm usually was at least a little chaotic the majority of the time, considering a good chunk of new arrivals ended up within it. Probably even moreso now that Dante was apparently down for maintenance. But hey, it was the easiest thing to comment on at the moment.

I can do this, it's okay. I'm in a good place, safe place. No one can really hurt me here..right?

Leave it to the socially dysfunctional to enter a game where it gets as social as can be, during a very crowded and hectic time. Maemi couldn't have been more jittery, squeaking excuse me! Pardon--oh, Salue here and there as she tried to more or less ninja her way between bodies and sometimes beneath arms to find somewhere to sell her goods. She's done well the last few days selling scavenged goods, it wasn't a gold mine kind of job, but she liked going a little out of her way to find this and that and bring it to the market.

The part she didn't like, was the market.

Full of busy bodies, some who paid her no mind, some who couldn't seem to avert their eyes from her. She was use to the latter, it happened often in real life since she looked exactly the same.

Finding a place to display her items she unrolled a place mat and laid it all out, then sat with her items with her calves tucked under her body, patiently waiting for buyers to come for her different array of things. Her items spanned from food, to looted items, to crafted objects, to clothing and jewelry, some of which she found she could do well in fixing up herself. Being in a typical oriental family, this kind of business was embedded in her blood, and hovering to it as a security blanket was not a problem for her, if it meant prolonging going out and adventuring more than just outside the civilization's limits.

Following the Hunter; Rufus had been lulled into his own head. He began day-dreaming of the majestic blue skies above the peaks of the Echo Mountains, and the moist and warm feeling which accompanied darkness that encapsulated the deepest caverns of the Caves of Hollow. Maybe he'd end up finding some loot, long pursued by many a gamer, which proved unattainable to those before who had tried. The vivid idea of checking out the Temple of Ancient past was emerging when he heard the unintentional guide -which he believed to be oblivious of his presence- address him.

"Huh" he replied as he jostled out of his daydream "Oh certainly... Well at least in the safe-zones anyway, though this server usually is packed."

Rufus stroked his beard and let out a booming laugh, before gently nudging the woman with his elbow "A crazier thing is that even though more
people lurk in the safe-zones these days, there's less good company."

He laughed again before closing his eyes, and exhaling deeply. He took in the smell of the shops' many patrons, the wood that composed it, and even the smell of cooking which lofted into the shop.

Sylvani nooded in agreement to his last statement, smile widening a bit as he laughed.

"Right? I was away for a while, but I've already overheard a whole pile of complaints about that problem just walking through town. Terrible state Larmadia seems to be in these days."

She paused to move up in line as the White Mage got what he needed and headed off, holding an armful of various items for a brief moment before they disappeared into his game inventory. When Sylvani turned her attention back to the Artillerist, her amused expression had gained a mischievous edge.

"But on the other hand, I do like keeping busy, and the presence of bad company gives me some extra work to do."

Since it was nearly her turn to make her purchases, she scanned the rest of the marketplace for any interesting player shops--best to plan a route in advance with today's crowd. As luck would have it, it turned out a Macabre Dancer had settled down with items across the way... It was a bit hard to pick out all the goods from her current position, given the people browsing around, but it looked like quite the varied selection and was worth checking out once she got a chance.

"You're quite odd then, aren't you?" Rufus mused, "It's rare to see someone so forthcoming to the idea of fighting these days."

His eyes snapped open the sight of the mage leaving the shop, and he felt himself tense up. Rufus felt a wave of disgust and anger wash over him, though it subsided when the mage disappeared into the crowd.

Turning his attention back to the Ranger, Rufus started "I like that though, someone who can hold their own and seeks danger..." His eyes moved to the woman "You sound like more than good company, rather a mighty ally."

He extended an arm towards the woman "I'm Rufus by the way."

Though his peripheral vision caught the Black Knight turning around, Rufus chose to remain focused on the woman.

"It is, though I've managed to find a few like-minded individuals. Good to know you appreciate it as well," Sylvani nodded in a satisfied manner and gave his hand a firm shake. "I'm Sylvani. Nice to meet you, Rufus."

The Knight that passed by as introductions were made wasn't paid any direct attention, but the departure nonetheless provided a distraction after they had finished. "Excuse me just a second though..."

She quickly pointed out an array of items to the shopkeeper--an upgraded quiver (man, where had that been when she needed it six months ago?), more arrows to fill it, and a small variety of status restoratives (mostly Antidotes). Original mission accomplished, she stepped to the side and faced Rufus once more.

"Now that that's out of the way, are you a visitor to Kitsune's realm or a resident?"

SUNNlE

It was a productive day. Argent had escorted three parties of new players thus far, giving them a good boost for the start of their adventures in Larmadia with a few levels. She appreciated the show of gratitude when they tried to offer part of the gold they'd picked up from slaying monsters, but she waved them off. This wasn't something she did for profit. The reason the Lancer offered her aid was because she remembered quite clearly how hard it was to start out...and that was before the influx of unfavorable company.

So, instead, Argent said her farewells and told them they were welcome to call on her again. The smile she saw the players off with faded as she turned to face the market. She could handle people one on one or in small groups but she absolutely couldn't stand crowds. Far too many people for her liking, and trying to navigate through them made her feel claustrophobic. Unfortunately, she had yet to obtain a Flute of Beckoning, which meant she was stuck on one of The Game's most crowded Servers.

Even worse, Argent's supplies were running a bit low and so she actually needed to deal with the market today if she wanted to get anything else done. Well, the bulk of the crowd was gravitating toward the NPC shops, so maybe she could find a player shop and get out of the area a little quicker.

What first caught her attention was the Macabre Dancer's appearance, but she had better manners than some of the other people about and didn't stare. Argent offered a smile and a
"Good afternoon," then began looking over the spread of items for sale, her gaze lingering on the food. Food wasn't quite as effective as the healing potions, but it would serve her well enough.

"How much for the fruit?"
