I don't really understand straight people's preoccupation with the private lives of queers. It can be downright unsettling. Surely you have better things to do with your time.

And regarding the first post, I disagree. I believe that I have every bit as much of a right to fall in love and express that love as a straight person, and I do not believe that God views such love as an "abomination." I also don't think that I or anyone else, save God, has any right to predict where anyone will be spending eternity.



...man, this is why I don't debate this anymore. And the only reason why I'm doing it now is because I'm in a bad mood and I can't take it out on the person who deserves it and I've already scared everyone out of my flat so I've been left here fuming and alone. I apologise for being so rude, and I just need to walk away and stop posting until I'm in a better mood.

I'm going to go vent my frustration on a violent video game or something.

I agree and have the same viewpoint. I was always told that there is only one unforgivable sin and thats dying and still denying Christ.
I also agree with the different binding contract.


I thought it was blasphemy against the holy spirit.

Blasphemy is pretty much saying that God doesn't exist and denying him constantly. If you die and still refuse Christ then there is no way into Heaven.


Biblically, it's when you say Jesus's works were aided by the power of the devil instead of the holy spirit. Everything else seems to be extra-biblical to varying degrees, so what you think of it I suppose depends on your denomination. More discussion here.

A person's sexual orientation is determined by their romantic and sexual proclivities and attractions. If you find yourself romantic and/or sexually attracted to the opposite sex, you're heterosexual, regardless of whether or not you ever have sex with a woman (or a man if you're a woman). Just as a homosexual is a homosexual because they have romantic and/or sexual attraction towards members of the same sex, regardless of whether or not they ever have sex. Being celibate, either because of age and circumstance or because you've made the choice to not engage in sexual acts (for whatever reason) doesn't take away your inherent sexuality. Unless you just truly have no sexual desire at all, in which case you would be asexual (no, not in the sense that you can reproduce with yourself, it's the term for someone who finds no sexual attraction in anyone or anything). But lifelong asexuals are relatively rare. Most people have some sort of romantic/sexual attractions, whether they opt to act on them or not.

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
this....is a clear statement....that it is indeed a sin to be a homosexual....male or female...it is a sin.....
HOWEVER!
it is also a sin...an abomination.....to have sex before marriage...or with multiple partners....or to take advantage of others(scams) ...there are THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of other things....that are sinful but are WIDELY accepted in this world not only that but are encouraged
glorified by our culture.
if a man does not sleep with or objectify women....he is seen as LESS in this world
people point and laugh at those who are virgin. ridicule and hate against them.....
and this is of no real surprise to me....
ALL FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD
and again....even the greatest of sins are but a grain of sand against his mountains of mercy.....
so....in conclusion....is it wrong to be gay?....yes......will it stop you from entering heaven......PFFFF I doubt it.

I say....a man who loves a man more than anything in the world....and bonds himself to him. living a long and happy life...yet still worshiping and accepting God.....has 100000% of a higher chance to enter heaven than someone who sleeps around and claims to be a perfect Christian. if I had to guess on the percentage of people who have sex outside of marriage worldwide...i would say at LEAST 99.999%. as per the percentage of Gays?......you get the point =_=
its really not a noteworthy problem in my eyes

gays should not marry.
marriage was a gift from God to be shared between a man and a woman.
if a gay wants to be married...then he or she can just get a different binding contract...something man made and not somethign given to us by God

May I summarize the points that you are trying to put forward?
Are these your points:
1. Homosexual is a sin
2. Sex before marriage/ Sleep around is a sin
3. Homosexual who is commited to God has a bigger chance to enter heaven than perfect (straight-orientation) Christian with sex before marriage
4. Gays should not marry but use different binding contract

My opinions:
1. Agree
2. Agree
3. Disagree, we have no right to judge which sin is worst. God is the judge and it is based on His grace. Our parts now is to love God & obey His command despite we all have fallen to sin before [Roman 3:23]. This is because we are being transformed by the renewal of our mind to change for the better [Roman 12:2]
If we commit to God whole-heartedly, we'll obey His commandment.
John 14:15 "If you love me, keep my commands."
Then, the case will be : people who worship and accept God fully (transformed)--> straight/heterosexual orientation and not doing sex before marriage.

4. I agree that gays should not marry. However, more to that, homosexual is a sin created by the custom of the world and should not be followed.
John 1:13 ESV- "[We] who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God."
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 ESV- "For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God"


I agree with the definition of homosexual proposed by SinfulGuillotine. It's not based on whether you have actually done sex or not; but based on the sexual attraction, even on thought only.
Matthew 5:28 ESV-"But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Therefore, to fix this: Phillipans 4:8-"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

To summarize my points:
James 2:10 - "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."
There are no big or small sin. Homosexual (gay&lesbian) is a sin eventhough they are not married and having different binding contract. If we love God, we will do the best for Him and not with any exception heart
Romans 12:2 ESV - "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

And I Believe that anyone (Muslim,Jew,or Christian) shouldn't commit adultery by having sex before marriage or with someone who isn't your husband/wife
