The past: Born and raised for several years in Woodfall, Cedar's parents Maple and Ash Rayne created a loving environment for the young girl. Cedar started to show her magic at a young age, she would hear voices carried on the wind. And then she was able to speak with the trees and bushes... With Nature. She had inherited her magic from her parents. They were both talented witches.
At some point in Cedar's early life her parents had become working on something that they kept tight lips over. Cedar being young, didn't know nor really care... Years went by and life was happy and fun. Soon Maple became pregnant again when Cedar were around 8. But something happened. Something that Cedar wasn't to sure what it was... But it uprooted her life before that year was over.
In the middle of the night her parents roused her from her bed and the family fed. They took nothing but the bare essentials. Braving the Woodfall forests they traveled into Clarus Arbor. In the smaller farming town the Maple and Ash purchased a farm manor and lands.
Over the years thanks to their magic the Rayne's were able to establish a booming farming business. Cedar was still a bit to young to do a lot of the actual work around the farm, at the age 11. She met her neighbor Kei. He was a mysterious man. Kei was kind to Cedar, but not exactly open. One day he brought home a young boy, a young boy with snow leopard ears and tail. Cedar was happy to have someone closer to her age around and the children became friends rapidly.
Cedar was more into her life as she became a teen. She worked on the farm but couldn't wait to go out and see Lea. They had all sorts of adventures together. On one particular night there was a meteor shower. Cedar had to sneak out of the house to meet Lea to watch it. As the two gazed on the shower Cedar caught sight of something orange illuminating the sky. Sitting up, her autumn hued eyes saw her home on fire. Seeing dark shapes running from the home, Cedar was watched her home burn to the ground. Her mother, father and younger brother all died in that fire.
