Name: Kieza Age: 17 Gender: Female Sexual Preference: Heterosexual Craft/Hall/Rank: Candidate Personality:
Kieza is a very timid person, tending to retreat into her shell when around large crowds. However, when need-be she will stand up for her friends and what she believes in. She's very lion-hearted, but lacks much of the drive necessary to keep the attitude going. Certainly with time, she will grow to be less shy around others and join in to whatever activities are occurring. However, for now she has chosen to be the recluse and watch the happenings with curious eyes.
Kieza may seem to be a bit of a dimglow, but those green eyes see all that happens around her and she learns from others' mistakes, even if she was not involved. In this way, she self-taught herself around her family farm how to help with the animals, or how to plant crops in just the right way as to make them bud without their roots tangling. To be able to help with even the smallest of tasks gives her great pleasure, even if people are none the wiser to her help.
When she is not busy around the farm, she takes time to sit still and breathe and daydream. She had heard many tales of the feats of the dragonriders while visiting Harper Hall with her brothers when they delivered goods, and at times, she would want to ask them to repeat the tale just so she could remember as much as possible. It scared her and made her heart beat with glee to think of the fights with Thread, and the gruesome waves of destruction the Thread left in their raining wake. It was when she brought the tales home with her in her mind, that she would think on them. There were so many tales, some where the Dragonriders were victorious and some where casualties occurred. They terrified her and filled her with a strange sense of pride - these were men and women like her who were giving their lives to protect people like her who could do little but hide. She would sometimes close her eyes and daydream about herself up there fighting, being filled with courage and terrible fear. Her great imagination filled her with a desire for the impossible, for the improbable: She wanted to become a Dragonrider!
She also has a quick mind, and deft hands and always seemed to have a talent with the animals, able to soothe their minds and find their woes. She loves working with any animals, and was sometimes known to bring animals home whom she would find abroad with some form of injury and bring them back to one hundred percent and then release them back out. Her father never told her no, or even bother to give her a stern look about the animals, he would just sigh and a quick smile would form upon his haggard face at the beam of joy it brought his daughter.
Despite her being the shy type, Kieza is quite confident in what actions she takes, even if they prove to backfire in her face. If they do, she shrugs it off, and learns not to do it that way again. Call it a painful learning experience.

History:
Being the only daughter to a cotholder near the Harper Hall wasn't easy, but Kieza knew it would lead her to better things. And she was glad for it. She learned many things, starting from when she was very small through her puberty, and even now. Her parents, Ilshar and Amara were the best thing in her life, along with her two older brothers, Azkir and Freil, who watched her so carefully, always very fold of their little sister.
When her mother fell ill, Kieza wasn't sure what to do. Her father wasn't sure either, and fell into a depressive state, leaving her and her brothers to take care of crops and animals. It was not long after that her mother finally passed. Everything seemed to dim in Kieza's world, and even she herself lost the will to smile and be happy. She felt a twinge of regret, like she could have done something to save her mother, but she knew it was never possible.
Her mother was buried, and life seemed to go on moving. They took care of the crops, and tended the animals. On and on and on... Two years past, and she found herself rebuking this sullen life, wanting something different.
Kieza wasn't sure what to do, longing to be up in those skies like all the famous dragonriders from stories she was told while sitting on her father's knee in the Harper Hall. But perhaps it was not possible.
When she turned seventeen Turns, however, her wish was granted. After coming home from the fields, she saw an extraordinary sight. A dragon outside her house, and a dragonrider speaking with her startled father. When she and her brothers came closer, the rider turned his attention to her. He didn't have to say a word, for she felt her heart leap from her chest, and she crowed with joy. Freedom! Freedom at last! Her brothers hugged her tightly, happy for her, and happy for what she would become hopefully. Her father, on the other hand, was sullen, distressed. She hugged him tightly, telling him to keep up hopes, and she would see him soon.
After that, she found herself where she always dreamed to be: On the shoulders of a dragon, flying through the clouds toward Ista Weyr.
Talents: She has a way with animals, a very calm nature that seems to calm them as well. Notes:

Name: Nyxbath Colour: Green Size: Average Impressee: Kieza Egg: Well hello there! A bright greeting leaps to welcome those that lay a hand on this sandy shell. How are you today? Good? That’s nice. Cheetah? Yeah, cheetah’s fine. Absolute fine. Wonderful in fact. Phew, there’s a lot going on today isn’t there? Busy, busy, busy. All these new people that have arrived, Cheetah is absolutely rushed off their feet trying to say hello to them all. The small egg resting near the queen egg is an energetic little thing, there’s no doubt about that. However, perceptive candidates will notice that behind the bright, bouncing, behaviour is weariness. A want to just stop for a little bit. Cheetah is so very tired. Personality: This quiet green will always be known for her blazing speed. From the day she hatched this female was on the move, darting from one thing to the next. With her speed and agility however comes a loss of control that borders on the reckless. The dragon has a tendency to overshoot her marks at times and end up having to quickly pivot and try again. It is lucky then for Kieza that Nyxbath’s stamina cannot keep up with her speed. This green blazes brightly, but then swiftly burns herself out. The dragon’s mind however never tires out. Constantly racing from one thought to the next. There is just so much that she must get done and not enough time in the day. This easily flustered dragon will have a peculiar relationship with others. Not forming any real or lasting attachments, this green seems to prefer the lonely life. She is not aggressive about it in any way; Nyxbath just prefers her quite solitude. Her rider however is exempt from this. Kieza will be pestered by the dragon and her concerns fairly regularly; Nyxbath just wants to make sure she is happy. This lithe green also greatly enjoys setting aside some time for cuddles with her rider, time when she can be together with her shy rider without anyone bothering them and she gets Kieza all to herself. Nyxbath is not a fighter; she doesn’t enjoy arguing or competition very much and does her best to avoid conflicts. As such she can easily be bullied out of things, whether that is the nice warm lounging place she just found or the kill she just made. Larger dragons will find her an easy target; as this dragon would rather leave without a fight than take them on. Preferring to bend in the wind than cause a disturbance. Nyxbath doesn’t seem to hold any resentment to those that take from her, but that doesn’t mean her rider feels the same way. There will be times when Kieza will have to stand up and say that enough is enough. Inspiration: Cheetah
