Ramses seen the tears in her eyes and put the tablet down and said her name before hugging her. He wanted to try to bridge the gap caused by their inability to communicate with words with actions. He knew his step mother wanted her for a reason, but he also knew that her magic could open the door for her to understand his words. He didn't want to go to the queen for help because he would be betraying Raven by giving her to his mother. The young general may not have known Raven for long, but he had already taken a liking to the strange girl and had pulled her into a comforting hug to try to ease her troubles.

As she said her words of thanks he nodded even though he knew not what she said. He would have to consult a priest sooner or later and one that wasn't bought by the queen. He knew the priests were controled by whoever payed the most and there was no telling who had paid them the highest amount of gold because they did not say. Few priests were honest and willing to help, but he had to find someone to help her understand what he was saying and writing. He could tell that his step mother didn't want him on the throne by how many wars she sent him on in hopes he would die in battle.

Ramses seen that she was tired and guided her to an empty room with a bed and began to recite a poem, even though she wouldn't understand it. "When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end

Ramses woke up with the rising of the sun and got to his training hall and the sound of his sword clashing against other metal objects could be heard throughout the small palace. The cacophony of metal on metal sounded like the general was fighting an army, which he had done single handedly to raise the moral of his troops and came out alive. He didn't know what time this strange, new girl woke up usually, but he knew when he woke up and his morning routine. He always practiced his swordsmanship, worked out, went for a run, ate breakfast, and bathed before his morning meeting with his step mother, something he wished he could avoid until he was on the throne and yet had to endure until he either died or came into power.

When Ramses had worked up a good sweat, he stopped and noticed the girl he saved from the guards and said "Good morning. did you sleep well?" he had forgotten that she didn't understand him yet and mentally slapped himself on the forehead. this was going to be a long day for the general. "I was about to work out and go for a run. would you care to join me?" he continued as he acted out what he was going to do so she would understand his question. He was hoping that the barrier that prevented them from communicating effectively with just words would be gone soon.
