I'd like to suggest the idea for a Gaia silent art auction^^ So I was thinking maybe we could get a couple artists together who'd be happy to have a silent auction. We would set it up like a normal auction, except instead of posting your bid, we'd have people Pm a mule with which artist they're bidding for and how much(and of course send the trade~). We let it run for a week or so and then post the winning bids. Each artist could offer what ever they liked from a full body color to a sketch~

I just want to recommend, if we do any type of auctions at all, each person only promise one piece of art, and the artist has to commit to finishing it within two month's time, preferably within one month. The one that Poy put together last time dragged on for a year and a half, and finally we settled at a fraction of the price, with still over half of the promised art not delivered. So, participants, make sure you are in it for sure before you sign up!

That sounds like a good idea, but the ball's history of art auctions... It could hold us back a bit, like what Chibi said.
There's a thread [here], though, for an auction. We could still get one up and running if people wanted, but we'd (like Chibi said again) need dedication and artists that are really committed and ready to work.

FOR THOSE WITH G-CASH:
There are some items that can be turned around and sold for one thousand gold per penny.
Like the mini monster packs at Phin Phang for 250 GC ($2.50) can be sold for almost 250k gg almost instantly,
IF ANYONE FINDS ANYTHING WITH A BETTER TURNAROUND, PLEASE TELL US HERE, AND PM ME.

Please feel free to make any and all suggestions you can think of for this subforum, the shops, or any other fundraising ideas here! Remember: I like crazy.
I didn't want to post this in the Fundraising announcement thread, because you said not to: By the end of the day today I should have around 750k which we can consider, for all intensive purposes, available to the guild, although I'd like to hang on to it until it's needed in case I get an opportunity to spend money to make money (or in case something comes up... sweatdrop )

That's completely understandable, Kay! As I let you know before, we appreciate donations but we treasure time and so far you have given us a lot of your time and ideas so thank you so much <3
For the Art Auction: - only those who can commit, and only commit ONE piece.. as Chibi said - this is definitely only a possibility and not a strong one at this moment, but, as Spotted linked, there is a thread to sign up for so that if it ever becomes something that we're actually considering then we don't need to rush sign-ups.

We should organize a group of Charity hunters.
The AURB is the perfect kind of thing that charities are looking for. We're not collecting gold so we can get ourself items. We're saving up gold to give others a good time and prizes. I've gotten a little bit of funds through charities. We should get a bunch of people to go to different charities in the Charities Subforum and see what kind of funds we can get there.

Also, if you need anyone for the art auction, I can donate a piece.
