One brow was lifted as he was told he could keep the hat before placing it back on his head after Maddy retrieved his skull pin and seemed to be heading out. All of the classes in this school seemed a bit unique. First catching a dragon and now slime beasts exploding from books. What exactly was his father thinking?

Certainly he felt a bit foolish for not closing the book, but at the same time... after goo at... sort of gooped out of it he didn't particularly want to touch the item either. Well whatever the case it was one and over with now. He knew, he'd remember it should he get something else that was unpleasant in the future. Or he heard a strange noise from a book before the thing actually came out and made a mess. Still, feeling silly or not, he figured it was best to take his leave. The molten dog was already getting out of the way with the other demon, and Maddy was gone.

He... wasn't exactly keen on being the last left with Makoto after the teacher belittled them. With a quick word of thanks offered to the Cait Sith he nodded politely to the rest of the group before starting out the door right after Maddox. "I feel as if a bit of research... with less animated books is in order." Was all he said, keeping his expression as flat as possible as he wandered out the door. Though he took a moment to replace the hat he'd taken off to offer up to it's rightful owner on his way out. He also needed to get his hair fixed, the bells were still off. Tsk so much to do.
