“Well, She needed some idea of why you were following her. Honest is better than trying to make something up like ‘you needed practice.’” He turned a little pink in the cheeks though in his worry that he might have overstepped.
He shifted from side to side and then sighed softly. “Ok…I will ask her. I think if you do…more or less what you did here than it’ll be fine.
He groaned slightly. “You owe me one… I don’t know what, but you owe me one.”

Talfrid nodded his head, smiling softly.
"Thank you, Bran. I know this is... vexing. I promise I will not mess this up again. If you could just tell her to meet me in the gardens, tomorrow afternoon, I will make things right."
He would try to, anyway.
First, he needed to go out and find a book she might like, and get some flowers that were not growing in the garden so it didn't just look like he stole them and thus make his case even worse. He was actually thinking harder about this now, so he did not mess it up again and fail in more promises.
Maybe he might successfully introduce himself. That was the goal. He stood, eager to get things rolling now.
"I'm going to go and find her a gift, to aid in my apology."
