My story Elemental Rift originally crossed into other worlds. However I do not have as many stories as I need for it to work. I don't know if I should go ahead and keep it where it crosses over and just fake the other worlds or if I should scrap that idea.

I would pause the story then make the worlds first so at the end, there can be many characters that can come to the main story where they can all exist. Kinda like making individual worlds and at the end combining them into one galaxy, just an idea. If you finish that story first, you will have to try to fit all the others into place instead of fitting all into one which can make the one you are wing on now the final part.

But would it be better to have them stay in their world or travel to others?

If they stay in their own worlds, Can it be a series? I believe like our world we can go to different planets and walk around there, there has to be someone there eventually, right? You could make different worlds and them be private, but wouldn't it be neat if they can possibly meet somewhere or become allies or enemies. It can be like Earth, we have countries that are allies and enemies. Could it be the same with different worlds? Maybe more types of races that can be either more effective or weaker than the other?

Yes. I could do it that way. It would take a while...might have to rearrange my desk wall decorations...
I don't know if I can come up with that many worlds...
