Stella was left home alone at the age of three for the first time in her life. Why? Her parents were ashamed of their daughter who was-and still is-a paranoid schizophrenic. If you say your little girl talking to a fridge like it was a real person you'd be a little put off, too, but not enough to leave the child, I hope. Ellie's neighbor, who is also her doctor, found the poor girl crying her eyes out in the corner of the living room. He decided to call her aunt who took care of her until she ten before moving back to Utah.
Ellie's struggled with her mental illness, but no one has ever found out about it. She ignores it as much as she can and tries not to come off crazy. What else a lot of people (more like a majority) don't know is that she's lived on her own since she was ten. Her parents pay for the house, occasionally they stop by, but then they leave for several months to a year or two at a time.

The Past: Melody's mother died when she was six. They got into a car accident and her mother died trying to protect her daughter. After the death of his wife, Mr. Larson fell into a deep depression and started to drink...a lot. He beat his children a couple times before he finally realized what he had been doing for four years. He was taken to jail, but given a second chance. With that he enlisted into the military.
For a year Melody and her brother lives with their uncle before their father came back. After that they started to move constantly. It was very hard for Melody to make friends either because she was too shy or she was bullied. Her brother would usually be there to help, but once he graduated she was left on her own. Now that they moved to Redview everything's a lot different than what they've seen. They've been there for a while, but it's still hard to adjust to everything.

The Past: Xavier was abandoned on the side of the road when he was a baby. He was picked up and placed into an orphanage until he was three. From the age of three he was in and out of homes constantly. Either they could handle him, but got rid of him once they go pregnant, or they couldn't handle him and shipped him back. Whatever it was Xavier had a crummy life until he was seventeen. His current parents still put up with him and he had no idea why. They let him live in an apartment, but make him visit.
