Abaddon smiled and replied as he pulled Mei into a comforting hug, "I will do my best, but I am a demon after all. Honesty is not my best policy, but for you I will try my best. Who would have thought a pot-smoking-gun-toting-angel would have such sway over me. Don't tell anyone. Wouldn't want to trash what little demon cred I have. I promise to try to not lie to you. If I mess up, expect it and I will expect your wrath. Fair?"

Mei wanted to slap Abaddon for not being able to give her a real promise, but she couldn't pull out of his hug.
"I want an real promise." she growled, "I am done with the jokes. I want the truth and I want you to mean it. If you can't be honest to me, you shouldn't be anywhere near me ever again."

Abaddon was frustrated but he knew Mei was right. He couldn't joke when making a promise. He had to say it without all of his usual flare, without the smile and without the snide comments.
"Alright, alright." Abaddon replied, "I promise I will cut the crap and tell you the truth from now on. I just know I will mess up. This is me. You know I have the hardest time denying my demon nature just as you have denying your angelic nature. We can both try to be different than what we are, but in the end I am a Demon and you are an Angel and I am never going to be perfect, and you always will be. I don't know how to say it any other way. Will that work?"

Mei wanted to believe him, so she gave in and believed.
"Alright I believe you." She replied as she cuddled into him briefly before getting to her feet.
"I know you have stuff to do. Just do me a courtesy and don't tell me about the date afterward. I don't need to know." Mei commented as she leaned against her dresser, "I promise not to do anything crazy. I will probably just go swimming in the pool or something and relax."

Abaddon nodded.
"Okay." Abaddon replied as he stood up and headed for the door, "I will check on you later. Have fun and feel better."
Abaddon then let himself out of Mei's room. He would have stayed longer but his conscience was nagging him so instead of going back to his room, he headed back out onto the grounds.

Mei sighed as Abaddon left. She decided she would keep her word and put on her bathing suit and began heading towards the pool. She would go float around aimlessly in the pool and relax. Swimming generally took her mind off of things and allowed her to lose herself for a little bit without having to smoke copious amounts of pot beforehand.

A female body started to take form as Cheshire appeared in the dorm room. She blinked a few times once she was fully formed again and then looked around. She gasped as she spotted all the stuff that to a normal person would have clearly marked that this room was taken by another person. "They already have all my stuff in my new room!" she exclaimed. She looked up at the ceiling and with her outstretched arms followed the swirling pattern. "I definitely adore this room much better than the one I got stuck in last year." Mei headed into the dorms and into her room as quickly as possible. She took off what remained of her bathing suit and wrung it out over the sink before hanging it up to dry. She then drew herself a bath and climbed in. She would clean up and get dressed for the dinner tonight. She didn't want to go too fancy and felt she should better conceal her firearms from Mica in a purse or something. As she washed her hair and scrubbed herself clean she wondered how in the heck Mica had sort of become friendly with Levi. Abaddon told her once that Levi was expelled for something so horrible his file arrived sealed in a red envelope meaning it was an attendance risk and that Az fainted upon reading it. This was slightly concerning and she wondered if her dad was going to go equally ballistic about her hanging out with Mica, Levi and Talya as he did when he thought Abaddon had proposed to her. She wondered if it was a good idea to tell Az in advance, or just hope he didn't blow a fuse when he found out.

Could you catch me for once
After Mei finished bathing she dried off and got dressed. She decided against her usual bodysuits and put on something more casual. She however made sure to put her guns in her purse. She was not about to leave them unattended in her room for long periods of time. Now all she had to do was wait until Mica returned so they could head to where ever this dinner with Levi, Mica and Talya was going to be.
Mei recieved the text from a phone number she didn't recognize, she realized it had to be Mica or Talya because it was about dinner. She then decided she should go ahead and head upstairs to the roof so she would be ahead of the game in the case she had to bail for whatever reason.
