At what point in your life, did you take interest in the Pagan faiths? And what drove you to believe, that this is the path for you? How did you take to that, and what kind of path do you lead (i.e. faithful, magic, etc.)?
I am asking all these questions, because I have lead a fairly mild, faithful path myself. Offering quiet prayers to the gods every now and. However, lately I have been meaning to expand. And yet I do not know where I wish to go, or how do I get there.
So I wish to hear your experiences. Thank you.

I never had any age that it came to me. Its always been a part of who I was and how I expressed myself. I suppose the easiest way to describe my path would be that I'm a hedgewitch. I deal mostly with folk magic and energy work and incorporate the spiritual into the everyday things in my life.
I've experimented with other methods and manners of going about it, expanded my knowledge and skills, but ultimately thats where it always comes back to, a quiet practice that often goes unnoticed by others but is meaningful to me.

I'm still searching. I learned about Wicca first but I was too young to truly change myself, but I found it interesting to know there was a whole other sect of religions out there unlike the ones I had heard of. It wasn't until my freshman year of high school that I looked back into paganism because I was going through some hard times and I wanted to find myself and the religion of my grandparents (my parents didn't care that much) wasn't for me. However I'm still searching though I've come a long way since then.

At what point in your life, did you take interest in the Pagan faiths? As soon as I learned about Greek and Egyptian mythology in middle school.
And what drove you to believe, that this is the path for you? It's the path that made the most sense to me, compared to other faiths.
How did you take to that, and what kind of path do you lead (i.e. faithful, magic, etc.)? Solitary Wiccan

Ever since I was 13 I had done tons of research on various religions. I grew up Christian but I knew I didn't believe in one God. So did a lot of research on first Satanism, then Hinduism, Buddhism and Wicca. Then I stopped and realized what I learned about Wicca wasn't actually Wicca and was more eclectic paganism. Then I studied on Taoism and came back to researching various Recon religions.
I went back and forth from Hellismos, Heathenry and Religio Romana. At the end of it all I realized that Religio Romana fit with what I already believed. I need structure in my practice and that gives me structure. I have a closer "relationship" with my household Gods and spirits than I do with most other Gods. I respect them all, but I see no need to pray to every single God every single day..especially since I have to pray twice a day as it is as well as pray to the household spirits. Tiring!

Mine is a long and complicated story spanning over a decade so if you want specifics feel free to ask questions, over ten years can't be condensed into a single guild post.

Wow. Quite a few interesting answers. Thank you everyone, for sharing it all!Loona Wynd My story is a bit complex, but I'll answer and tell it if you'd like. Please do. I'm very much interested.Vox_Draconis Mine is a long and complicated story spanning over a decade so if you want specifics feel free to ask questions, over ten years can't be condensed into a single guild post. How did you realise, that you wanted a (different) spiritual path in life? How did you realise it was the right one?

Aglo I How did you realise, that you wanted a (different) spiritual path in life? How did you realise it was the right one? How did you realise, that you wanted a (different) spiritual path in lifeI realised from an early age that there were holes in the teachings of the Roman Catholic church, the teachings didn't explain some of the things I saw and experience, not much beyond "It's the devil's work" as an answer. I was always looking for something more spiritually fulfiling and something that could answer my questions. I started off doing my own thing, then at the age of fifteen discovered there was a name for what I was doing, at sixteen I started off down the path of Wicca a-la Ravenwolf, elven years and much experimenting later I am decidedly Heathen and decidedly Lokean in terms of my religious practices, but undefinable with regards to craft practices, that's very much a mish mash of what works for me. How did you realise it was the right one?It felt like I was coming home, no other way to describe it, it felt right it felt like I was wear I belonged.

I discovered my path 14 years ago as a Pagan. However I have just reciently, in the past 5 years, discovered my Italian roots. I have been reading books on the subject and relying on old storys and superstitions that were told to me when i was a child.

At what point in your life, did you take interest in the Pagan faiths? - When my first girlfriend was killed in an armed robbery, being a naive pre-teen I began studying Necromancy, eleven years back.
And what drove you to believe, that this is the path for you? - Death became something I was obsessed with for a while, and though Christianity gave the answer that all those that believed in Jesus shall be saved, I never really saw the light of it, and from there, i began divulging into other paths.
How did you take to that, and what kind of path do you lead (i.e. faithful, magic, etc.)? - Amateur practitioner. Like you, I'm trying to find my path. I would prefer to continue on my Runic studies, but Necromancy was the path that set me off, so I would say I'm still interested to continue into Necromancy.

I always felt different. I was raised christain. I could not understand why magic and things of that nature was a bad thing. Then I meet a friend of mine who was wiccan at the time and it made me rethink things. Also had a cousin who believed a lot like I did. I was in middle school at the time. Just being different pushed me to follow a different path. I'm still working on the path that I want to follow.
