The monsters I use right now are: Big Bear, Big Zombie, Goblin, Big Bat, any I should switch out for a shroom dragon or other monster?

Personally, I rarel use monsters, story characters are enough in this game (unlike Disgaea).

Not to mention, you cannot purify Dragon Shrooms until you recieve Prier's First Title. If you look at the in battle stat sheet of the Dragon Shrooms, you will see that the sheet is longer, just like boss monsters. They are counted as bosses and all boses cannot be recruted until you have your title. Some other monsters are rated bosses even though they aren't, like the Succubis.
