Still trying to keep this guild alive here is a sneak of some of my story.
One year after the Great War of Troy
I thought I woke up to the rocking of the rusted color ship but I found it was my mother’s scream that woke me. My hazel eyes stared up as I saw heavy footsteps coming from the deck, I bolted up as the cotton tan cover drop to the floor and I sprinted to the surface. My face was hit with the frost cold air as my silky curly black hair blew into the wind as I scanned the area. I saw my father’s body in a pool of blood, I was horrified and I ran to him.
“Father, are you alright? Please wake up?” My six year old body was trembling as my father didn’t respond to my request. I saw my father’s hammer that he used back in his blacksmith shop in Olympia. I started to weep and my white silk tunic dress was getting soaked in my father’s blood. I heard an agony scream and I turned to see my mother getting attacked by some men. They wore brown tunic and I saw them rip my mother’s red tunic to revel my mother’s breast as one man grabbed my mother’s black hair.
I picked up my father’s hammer and ran towards them. My mother’s eyes went wide in shock and the man with dark tan skin turned. He smirked as his brown eyes locked with mine. I stopped as I was frighten by the look he gave me but it also build up rage. He ran his fingers through his blonde hair and started to laugh.
“Look it here men, a little child thinks it can willed a weapon.” They laughed and I tossed the hammer at him and it cracked him between the eyes. I saw the oozing crimson blood flow down his face. His eyes flickered with anger as he snapped his fingers. I took a step back but I ended up getting pushed down and my face smacked into the wooden floor. My hands were bind behind my back as I felt a hand grabbed a lock full of my hair that forced me to look up.
“Please don’t harm my daughter!” My mother screamed. Her pale face looked at me as the tears was falling. The man who stood before me turned around and slapped my mother across the face with his muscular hand. My mother fell to the floor as he turned his attention to me.
“No, leave her alone!” I yelled. I saw my reflection in his eyes. I saw my cream color skin turn pale as he approached. The man raised his hand to smack me but my mother jumped on his back and started yanking his hair, clawing at his face, and even biting him. I try to break free but the other man tightens his grip. I flinched and was forced to watch the main man who I was guessing was the leader grabbed my mother’s neck with both hands and flipped her over. I saw my mother look up at me with no expression.
The man yanked off my mother’s clothes and exposed her to the others. They all howled like dogs. The man exposed himself and raped my mother over and over until she didn’t move. Throughout the whole time she stared at me. I try to turn away but the other guy who held me made me watch. My tears stream down my face as he got up and walked straight to me. I gulped and he had a mischievous smile plastered on his face.
He grabbed me and tossed me against the floor next to my mother. I got up on my elbows but he kicked me straight in the jaw. I tasted the blood in my mouth and my head collided with the floor. I was going to pass out but I mange to fight it. I got up on my elbows a second time and started to move backwards towers the edge of the boat. It was hard to breathe as I inched my way but the man grabbed my leg and dragged me to him. He pinned me underneath him as he slapped me twice across the face. I looked at my mother and found that she was still breathing.
I heard her mumbling something. That’s when I felt a thrust between my legs and I screamed. I looked back at the man and found that he was raping me. He thrust harder and harder and each time I screamed louder. I turned my head to look at my mother and saw her eyes open. I saw the cross emotion of anger and fear. I managed to hear what she was saying.
“I pray to you God of the Sun, Apollo, please spare my daughter of death and I promised you that you may have her.” I didn’t quite get it, but that’s when I noticed the blue sky turned black with shadow clouds. Poseidon was tossing the water in rage. The man got out of me and looked to the sky and cursed under his breath. The boat rocked to the side and I slid down and hit the wall of the boat. I was weak but I managed to get to my feet. I felt the oozing blood drip down my leg as a giant wave caused the boat to flip over.
My instinct kicked in once I went under and I couldn’t figure out which way was up. My lungs were constricting as I couldn’t hold my breath any longer but then I finally broke free to the surface and filled my lungs with the fresh air. It tasted so good but the moment was shortly lived as another wave crashed over me and dragged me down. I saw the dark sky as I was sinking and sinking to the deep abyss and forever live in a world of darkness.
Every where I turned was darkness as I felt the cold breeze strike my face. Wait a minute, cold breeze? I jerked up so fast that I literately felt dizzy. I felt something scaly touched my check and I jumped up and turned. My eyes widen as I was staring into golden eyes that went with a serpent like body. A dragon… I felt stupefied as it was tilting its heard from side to side examining me but once it looked down and saw the wet blood dripping down my legs, I heard a deep growl in its throat.
“I’m alright. Did you save my life?” I extended my arms slowly because I was afraid it might bite me but instead its head touched my hand and it felt so warm along with scaly. I grabbed its head with both hands and hugged it and I started to cry. Although I was grateful for living, I also lost my parents.
”Why Zeus?! Why have you cursed me?! Why take both my parents from me?! They didn’t do anything to you, they were loyal to you!” The Dragon nuzzled my face as I shrank down and pound my little fist into the sand in rage. The Dragon wrapped its tail around me and brought me closer to its body for comfort but it did not helped as it should have been my mother trying to comfort me.
“I suppose the Goddess Athena was more merciful on me since she gave me the gift to speak at the age of three and the studies I need to learn in order to survive like language or math at the age of five.” The Dragon’s face looked down upon me and tilted its head as if it understood what I just said. I saw the Dragon’s head jerk up and I sat up and saw a couple walking on the other side of the beach. I felt the Dragon move away and when I turned, I saw it dive into the North Aegean Sea.
“Wait, don’t leave me!” I shouted in tears and I turned around and crash into a body and fell. I slowly looked up and saw the couple that was walking on the other side of the beach standing right in front of me as if they teleported to where I was at.
“Are you alright sweetie?” I didn’t no what to say as I was still stunned to see them standing in front of me when they were on the other side of the beach. The woman knelt down and her head was level with mine. She reached out to touch me but I jerked back, “Don’t touch me.” At first I thought she was going to yell at me but instead she smiled.
“Aiken we can not just leave her out here.” She turned and looked up at the young man who’s a couple of inches taller then her with red eyes, tan skin, and gray hair.
“I suppose you’re right. It looks like she’s from the shipwreck. What’s your name little one?”
“My name is Autumn Winter Spring.” I manage to spit out as they kept staring at me and it made me feel uneasy. Aiken as the woman called him reached down to pick me up but I started to scream and crawled backwards away from him as I pictured the man on the boat. I felt a spray of water surround me as the Dragon appeared between me and the couple.
“Look it here Sakkara, a god that doesn’t know how to keep out of our business.” I saw the couple smirk and white angel wings appeared and spread out as if they were going to take flight.
“You should go back to Olympus and give us the child.” Sakkara as I heard her name from Aiken said as she stood in an attack position. The Dragon didn’t stand down as it started to growl and showed a set of fangs.
“You think you can stop both of us. Just give us the child and we will not harm you.” As they made the threat, Aiken took two steps towards the dragon and I saw as if it was in slow motion his arm thrusting forward towards the dragon.
“No!!” I appeared between them and felt the sword pierce my skin and felt the hot oozing blood rushed out of my shoulder as I protected the Dragon that saved me from drowning. Both Aiken and Sakkara eyes widen in shock as I interfered with them slaying this dragon. As he pulled the sword out of my right shoulder blade he steeped backed in shock.
“Please, I will go with you but please let this dragon go. This dragon saved my life and I am not going to let you kill it.” I was on the verge of collapsing for the blood is just gushing out of the wound.
“Aiken we can spare this dragon as she calls it. Let it return back to its home and so it can tell its father what we have done here.”
“Very well then, I will spare this dragon’s life as you ask. Now go dragon and never come back down here again or else I won’t hold back from killing you. Don’t even come near her again either or else that will be your last time seeing her.” I turned around and saw the dragon was looking at me and I hugged its head one last time, “Thank you.” That was the last think I said before I collapsed and saw darkness swallow me whole.
I felt my shoulder sting as I moved in a comfortable bed. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that it was nightfall already.
“Where am I?” I felt like I’ve been drugged as I slowly sat up.
“You are one tough little girl Autumn.” I heard a voice in the corner and I saw Aiken and Sakkara walk out of the shadows.
“Well I didn’t want you two killing the dragon that saved my life. That dragon was protecting me.”
“Do you even know what that dragon was?”
“Is that a trick question I mean it’s just a dragon what else could it have been.”
“What happened on the ship Autumn?” I looked away and stared at the moon that was peeking out of a black cloud and shinning into the room I was in.
“I do not want to remember what happened on that ship and I can tell you both my parents are dead and I blame Zeus for that. My parents were loyal to the Gods and my parents taught me that they were our protectors. I curse the day Zeus and the other Gods for taking them from me. I swear on their graves right here and now I will get my revenge on them. I will kill them all even if it means killing them one by one.”
“Is that your desire Autumn, to kill all the Gods in Olympus?”
“If you’re trying to talk me out of it, it’s not going to work. My mind is made up and I am going to do it.”
“Actually, Sakkara and I want to help as I know you saw that we are not all human.” I looked at both of them and saw that they were smiling as if they done something bad.
“You’re right. Both of you are not humans are you? You’re much more then that.”
“Correct Autumn and I think we can help you with your goal that’s if you want to stay with us.” I didn’t have to think twice before I answered Sakkara’s question. The moment I said yes was the moment when my life changed forever. The little girl that was saved by a mysterious dragon is no more. In its place is a cold bloody murderer that is planning to seek revenge…
