Jaxson listen to Binary as he spoke, looking over the map only to frown when they were given very little information after the past twenty minutes. That was it? Really? How was twenty minutes ago suppose to actually help them? He was to the point he wanted to tell the instructor off, but he already went back into the building along with all the other frantic instructors on campus. He couldn't help it, but he lifts his hand to rub at the bridge off his nose before he looks around at the group.

"From what the dude was saying, the leader was in the northeast, but moving. So why don't we go to the northern part of this joint, and wait him out. He might come this way, and he might not." glancing around he shakes his head for a moment "Either way, we need to pick and move fast. Otherwise we will lose the trail altogether."

"Detention is not a ridiculous concern!" Rainbow retorted at Black Jack hotly. "We're going to get into danger as a job after we graduate, so losing our heads just because we're under attack right now is hardly useful! I don't plan on surviving a political miscommunication just to have to spend six Saturdays in detention with a spot on my record."

They had other concerns, though, and Rainbow stood attentively while Binary filled them in, trying to remember what she had learned in their classes to think of a plan. If they had all been recruited, she supposed they would have to work as a team. Her eyes darted to the assemblage, and she bit her lip slightly. Couldn't she have gotten dragged along with some better students?? Even Jack, though he was technically her Designated Best Friend and Practice Partner, wasn't the best person to be stuck with in a jam. She didn't know the pink boy, but she couldn't understand half the words he used, and the girl seemed just as prickly as she looked.

Still, heroes had to get used to teaming up with whoever was in the vicinity as effectively as possible in crisis situations, and she supposed there was no time to learn that like the present. She considered the options, since Binary had seemed to see fit to leave them to it, which, even if she personally considered it to be a Rather Suspect tactical move on his behalf, filled her with a kind of nervous pride. This could be their chance to really show off what they had learned! Or what she had learned, at any rate. She knew how Jack felt about learning.

"If we stay here and wait for him to come to us, we run the risk of letting him do more damage to the grounds and any innocent bystanders that could be nearby," she announced, changing colours as she spoke to blend in better with the background. "I can camouflage us and we can slip in unnoticed if we're quick and quiet. We could try to catch the leader up before they get here, and if we do that, we can give warning to bystanders that we meet along the way. If Binary says that we're the ones to deal with this, it's better to find him soon as possible and try to minimize the damage until someone who can speak to the aliens can be sent to deal with it rather than wait for the leader to reach the school where, IF they show up, they could cause panic and do more harm. What can the two of you do?" she asked, gesturing to Jaxson and Black Jack. "What are your powers?"

It took you a few minutes to decide on where to search for this supposedly huge yet highly evasive alien leader, but luckily you had the time to spare. Since your team had to head north one way or another according to Binary's data, you had the luxury of debating among yourselves about your next course of action. While you still weren't too sure why the surly Founder had decided to let you in on this little mission, you were certainly grateful for the opportunity- and you weren't about to blow it! This was a prime chance to show the Academy what you were made of. Strategically planning out your walking paths, your team wastes no time once you reach your destination. Spacing yourselves out, you begin your search by combing the outer edges of the forest past the northern wall. There was no way the alien had passed the Academy's barrier undetected- so if he was nearby watching, surely you'd run into him this way.

You and your friends began to search through the forest's fringes; but there were no indications that something huge had been moving around the area, let alone an alien. Before you could regroup and comment on your findings (or lack thereof) an alarmingly tall, brightly coloured alien dropped sluggishly from the upper limbs of a thick trunked tree. The ground shook as he landed, causing you to jump back in alarm. You and your comrades prepare yourselves for the worst- but to your surprise, the horned, yellow alien holds up his lengthy, muscular arms in a universal sign for 'I'm not here to hurt you'. With a giant puff, the alien exhaled slowly before opening his maw to speak.

        "Take me to your leader."

Ignoring the terribly cliché line as best you could, Team Old School agrees to comply. Thankfully the alien seems to have a decent grasp on the English language, although everything he says and does seems rather drawn out and sluggish. You and your comrades attempt conversation with the supposed alien leader, offering an explanation about Nova Academy- but he seems either disinterested, extremely bored, or otherwise distracted. You all quickly give up trying to make small talk with the guy, instead focusing on the task at hand. The sun was beginning to set over the waterline in the distance, reflecting a warm bright orange light. It was getting late, and at some point the warning sirens had stopped wailing- although they still rung painfully in your ears. Your bodies ached from the long day of running around, and you were thankful to be heading back to the Academy. You lead the alien back to campus, escorting him safely back to Sidekick Academy, chests welling with a sense of accomplishment. The first thing you do is lead the alien to HQ, strolling in with pride as you hand her off to the Founders. They promptly thank you, and with a brief apology ask you to wait around for a bit and whisk the alien off to a back room. While you wanted nothing more than go get a meal and pass out, you stick around as instructed. Besides, who knew what interesting things were about to go down?

Once more we'd like to apologize for the delay in wrapping up the CYOA, and thank you for your patience! The long overdue final posts for each of the individual teams are now up- you are free to roleplay in these threads if you would still like. An event conclusion post, along with prizes, should be up within the next week or so. Thank you for participating, despite our hiatus we hope you had fun!
