So it's finals week, and I have a big group project due tomorrow. <******** group is not doing their ******** work.
This final project is due tomorrow, everybody promised to send me their video so I can edit it together for the DVD. ONLY ONE FINISHED HIS.
I emailed the other two asking if they'd finished their videos, and the one chick who has been ignoring emails and ditching group meetings goes "What video? Nobody told me we had to a ******** YES WE HAVE TO DO A VIDEO, IT'S IN THE ******** SYLLABUS! I EMAILED YOU ON FRIDAY TELLING YOU EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEEDED TO ******** RECORD!
That means she won't be recording until at least 3pm today because the ASL Lab where all the Deaf Studies students do their recording is reserved today for various finals.
I hate group work. I always get one of two kinds of people. A) Retards who I end up propping up because they can't be bothered to use their brains or B) Assholes who don't participate in the group work and then act like it's my fault for not acting like their moms and hounding them to do their part.
YOU ARE ******** SENIORS IN COLLEGE!
YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ******** ADULTS! I'M YOUNGER THAN ALL OF YOU ASSHOLES! YOU'VE GOT NO ******** EXCUSE!
"Oh, I've got a lot of other projects I'm working on, I'm too busy for this one." Oh, yeah, let me just drop all of MY workload and pick up your slack, why don't I?
And these are people I'm going to end up working with when I ******** me, why does this happen to me?

Wow.....That must be irritating. I'm currently dealing with an idiot myself on Gaia on my main account (Yes this is my mule account), but man...I wanna smack that girl in the head and be all like "Nope! We're going to a potato farm! .............YES WE'RE MAKING A VIDEO YOU IDIOT"
Maybe you can ask your teacher if you can pair up with another group rather than these idiots?

It's our final, and we've finished submitting our project, so unfortunately, I cannot join another group.
It wasn't a complete disaster, but only because I ended saving everybody's asses again. Then that girl had the nerve to go and complain to the professor that she hadn't been included in the project.
Fortunately, I had already let the professor know what was going on. He ended up meeting with us individually after the final to ask us each what was happening.

Ouch, sounds rough. I always ended up being the person to do all the work. Mostly because everyone walked all over me. XD Also, I tended to be bossy and take over projects.
But damn, you'd think that'd change by the time you got to college. ******** hate when people get like that. xp
It's like, do your own damn work, okay? We're not here to hold your hand.

I know how you feel stare people have been doing that to me since primary school. But in college? mad That's just ridiculous. That's an example of just pure, imature laziness on their part. evil

THE NOT-SO-EPIC CONCLUSION...
The professor said he'd grade the girl individually if she sent him her video. The rest of the group's grade will not be affected by her slacker attitude.
So it's all resolved, and I'm no longer so upset. Well, actually, no, I kind of never want to see that one chick's face again, but since we have the same focus in our major, it's unlikely that I'll get my wish. The best I can do is remain polite and not punch her face in.

You sound like a person I would like to/need to work with. My final project ended up with only two people presenting in a group of four, one playing sick and the other just without anything to do. The other guy had a nervous breakdown (which I actually thought was adorable) but he at least presented and did well. Even though we were graded individually, I still think my grade suffered a bit because of the two who couldn't get their s**t together.

Omg I feel your pain! Luckily when it happened to me it was back in high school. We had 2 assignments going on and the my absolutely wonderful teacher who basically makes us learn ourselves out of textbooks decides that we should also have group presentations so we can teach each other.
My group was ****, none of them cared about the presentation I kept having to ask them if they had anything for the presentation. Then on the day of the presentation the whole group turns to me and starts panicking because the rest of the class had such kick a** presentations and they hadn't done anything at all.
In the end I had to stand up and do the presentation MYSELF while everyone other group did it together.
Worst bit was when I asked them about the presentations they always said to me "but I can't I have two other assignments to do", then the change they subject and start talking about the bloody prom. Well **** that cause I am doing all the same assignments as you ****

Tell me about it.
My last group project didn't go well although, we finished it. Those idiots turns on me for not doing anything at all when I told them that they should contact me if they need anything. ANYTHING! THAT'S THE REASON WHY I ******* GIVE MY CELL NUMBER IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!

That happened to me a lot too. I was always paired with stupid people and even when they did their part it always seemed as if they waited til the last minute and put it together in a half hour. Its the same at work too. I got stuck with weak/stupid people and ended up doing everything. And that's why I have carpal tunnel.....

Are you freaking kidding me!? That brat didn't even lift a finger, and she had to go and be a butt that she wasn't even included. I just really wanna....smack that b***h. Seriously...
Well that's good. Hopefully you won't get into another stupid group like that one...

When I was in school, if people didn't do what they were told of the group or asked, I always let the teacher know that they didn't do their share. I don't really care if it makes me look bad.

Group work really does suck. It just makes some people feel used and others learn nothing. =( Plus it's awkward when you're shy. And just giving someone a bad grade on group grading doesn't seem like enough revenge for them not having put in any effort. -.-

I've had that happen to me so many times, but this year it was really bad. In journalism we do a lot of projects and a few in groups, and this one a*****e decided he would try to use me and my friend for a free grade. Not happening! We both told him that we did not want him in our group as soon as the project was assigned but then he had the audacity to, at the last minute, complain that he didn't have a project because of us. We told him to find another group because I knew he was not going to do a single. ********. Thing. And I was right, he decided not to try to find a new group but sit there and complain and whine instead, and act entitled to a good grade.

That's why I hate working in groups. I can get twice as much done in one day by myself than in a school week with my lazy a*****e peers. It's a pain in the a** being one of the smart kids.
