So in fear of hijacking the reincarnation thread I decided to make this to possibly see if other people may know something about my experiences or..whatever. Anything is helpful because I know nothing about it.
Ever since I was little every now and then I would get this certain feeling on my fingers mainly, sometimes it would go all over my body. Not really certain parts of my body, just in general. The only thing that was for sure was it always started with my fingers. It was a pressure sensation. As a kid I always imagined it as an object that kind of resembles an hourglass. Big on the edges, thin in the middle. That's how it feels, the same. I've always enjoyed the feeling of it and I have always tried to make it last as long as I could just because I enjoy it so much but I have no clue what sets it off or what it is supposed to even be. Some times I could taste it, or at least taste the pressure..if that makes sense. I felt it on my tongue and it came with a smell along with the taste. Was just curious if anyone else has had things like that happen to them and/or if they know anything that might possibly be related to it.

I've read about something called pressure touch, but nothing quite like you've described. Could you give more detail please or try to explain it more?

That's really all I can to describe it. It's hard to explain the sensation. It resembles an hourglass in how it feels, harder on the edges and lighter on the inside. Big, small, big. It's an intense feeling but a pleasant one. Sometimes I can taste and smell it, don't know what to compare it to though.

I had it again today and I'm trying to do some research but I can't find a single thing on it. It started out in my finger, like it normally does. This time I decided to meditate after it first started and it moved from just my finger all around me. Felt like a thick air was pressing down on me and taking over every aspect of my being. It was warm and felt like I was covered in something heavy. I've never been able to actually meditate but I think this was the first time I was able to. It took a while to actually be able to get out of it..like it felt like something was holding me there.

Maybe there is something to this hourglass sensation. I've felt my fingers being pricked before or like they were on fire before but nothing like what you have expressed here. I find it fascinating. I defiantly think you should try meditating again.

I think I found out what it could possibly be. I'm still getting tests done but I found out I have sleep apnea, and have been getting panic attacks and just have had issues breathing for what seems like my whole life. Those feelings, I believe, are probably associated with my health issues lol I had a couple episodes of sleep paralysis last weekend and the feelings were similar (though this time it was more severe with the sensation of death)

I hope you can get treatment for both the anxiety and sleep apnea. I know that panic attacks always trigger my asthma, which just makes them worse to be honest.
