kesuke uchiha would a multiplayer version be too much to ask for? not like a second player just as important as the first but a customizable character follower who your friend can poke in and play as from time to time Never if I was done right EEO well lets just forget about that I think zenimaxx online totally messed it up honestly and didn't end up getting anymore of my money since I sold my copy to a friend for full price. I think a drop in drop out multiplayer would be fine but for the most part I find the tes games a solitary game and like it that way but like I say to each there own. (Also why didn't you send me a pm?)

I don't disagree that it would add to it but it will take away from the game far more if you could no longer progress in the story if npc's died because of some stupid thing killing them and making it so you could no longer get anywhere within the story. What I think they should of done instead is not make the completely immortal. For instance make it so they can die after the quests they had were done for good. Main quest lines will suffer the most if you cannot do em so after you finish the quests that require them let em die I say. That way the player doesn't have to worry about not finishing and at the end of the day if you felt the need to kill everyone you could. It would save a lot of unnecessary reloads and anger you would feel if an important npc died while you were not around. Which could happen like I said happened to me when I turned it off I was no where near delphine I traveled the path I knew she took and found her body. The did add a lessened fast travel for gold back in Skyrim and I feel they did it so players didn't have to use fast travel at every opportunity. Carriage's make it a bit easier if you try and only use them and if you have Hearthfire is great for the ability to have one always at your home that can go to any town except I think it doesn't use gold I cannot remember I haven't use them since the dlc came out.... So I may be wrong but I do know the ones on front of certain cities and towns make you pay. (It feels good to have a real discussion again lol.)

It is nice to have someone to discuss this with.
I understand what you're saying about important NPC death, but that's my point, honestly. You know (or I'm assuming you know of) Vivec was extremely, excessively, and absolutely immensely over-powered, but it was possible to defeat him if you had the drive (and the health potions). And although he was dead, there was still a way to finish the game. Unless you killed Yagrum Bagarn as well, then the naughty boys and girls really couldn't finish the game. But it was part of the charm (i.e. an alternate good or bad ending to the game where Dagoth Ur is never defeated and the ash blight is permanent).
And that's what I find most fun!
Keep in mind, hypothetically if they did make it so important characters could die, they would probably (in the same vein as Morrowind) provide "back-up quests" to find alternate ways to beat the game, and these "alternate plans" may not have anything to do with any NPC, for example to randomly come across the correct Elder Scroll and open in on top of the Throat of the World.
So yes, it would allow important characters to die (in some cases needlessly) but Bethesda would provide alternate routes for us to win, just like in Morrowind.
To be honest, I really, really wanted to kill the Emperor myself at the beginning of Oblivion just to see what would happen. I couldn't kill him, though. I think that seemingly insignificant amount of freedom is important in this series. But again, this is all just my opinion. I like it because it would allow alternate "time-lines" and "alternate realities" (see: The Warp in the West). My favorite of which would have been to join the Mythic Dawn cult and help Mehrunes Dagon destroy Tamriel. But I couldn't.
And again, sure, some people may find certain NPCs dead (I sure as hell did in Morrowind from accidental attacking and whatnot...) but that's what reloads are for. Just like when you try to sleep and a Dark Brotherhood assassin would awaken your weak level 10 mage character and kill him in a few hits, loading auto-saves are an integral part of doing things right the "second time around" so to speak. Not to mention when you reload (even in the case of hypothetical all-NPCs-can-die-Skyrim), there's the chance that the enemies in question wouldn't spawn that killed the NPC the first time around.
I love riding in carriages as a replacement for boat travel and silt strider travel from Morrowind, and I also greatly appreciate horses just like in Oblivion. I just don't like the "old-style click-on-a-map-icon-and-teleport-there" kind of mechanic, generally speaking (though as I said in my earlier post, it definitely has its uses).
I do have Hearthfire and the manor carriages you can hire do take you to more places than default carriages, which is a nice incentive for buying one... if you don't fast travel.
