I've been playing Paper, Please. I can't believe how good it is. You play as a bureaucrat who stamps passports at the border of Arstotzka. I don't know how to explain this game except that being a bureaucrat is a crappy job. I have to make some moral decisions about letting people in without the correct papers. To make ends meet I'm forced to accept bribes like detaining people for money. My boss is an a*****e, terrorist attacks are disruptive, and I have to pay attention to the incessant changing rules, but I love it! It's so compelling. Every day different things happen.

ah the life of bureaucracy. i, on the other hand have been playing evil genius. imagine the sims except you're trying to take over the world, bond villain style. have your henchmen build a massive underground base, build a hotel above ground to keep those pesky tourists and enemy agents busy. send out goons to steal money and valuables, use scientists to build doomsday devices. it's pretty addicting. and yes, i have to kill all enemy agents in elaborate ways besides just having my guards gun them down. it's the difference between a villain and a super villain.

I've heard of that game. I just never knew what it was called.
Lately I've been playing Borderlands 2 GOTY edition. I play as a mechromancer killing bandits with my bad a** robot. I've started to finally play the DLCs, like the Badass crater of Badassitude.

it may only be me significantly affected, but in recent weeks the owners of company of heroes released an update that made online play fxcking impossible. orders and abilities are delayed, buildings sometimes randomly build troops, off map reinforcements can take up to 20 minutes when it should be instantaneous. too add to it several of the more popular mods have become unplayable, of particular note, the eastern front mod. which in my opinion was a better researched and added more to the game than the second game. all of this combined with several content updates and a sale on the second game have led many gamers to believe that it is an intentional marketing technique. much rage was felt.
