When he turned around to swing his bat again at a rabbit he knew he'd just seen he found...nothing.
A barn full of nothing but startled and scared sheep and little pellets or rabbit s**t and no rabbits.
Except one. Heading for a HOLE IN THE DOOR WHAT IN BLUE BLAZES!!
Running for the door, he swatted at the hole with his bat, but too late to catch the rabbit. Frustrated, he flung the bludgeon away from him and started undoing the latches to the door, swearing in as many ways as he knew how.

"She's in a rocky outcropping I found while being out in the wilds. She's safe but we could still go to her. Bring her back with us. She seemed tired when I left her. Follow me." He hopped off towards where he'd left Mud.

Aurrie Beaues "Dragon, wait." He gasped out the words as they passed Althea. He turned, feeling dizzy.
"Did they... Make out? Alive? Mud... Mud was caught in a wire. Alive, left her back near some cover. There." He indicated with a painful nod of his head to where the doe had been left. It would be a long walk back to the down. He was so tired. He wasn't about to give up, though. He'd been wounded in the line of duty, distracting the farmer from hopefully going after the rest of the rabbits with the bat. Frith saw it to give him a second chance and he was not about to give in.
The doe was about to retort something to stubborn Charcoal, friend now that he was, when Ginkgo addressed her. And Frith what a mess that buck was, how was he still breathing?
"... You look like you had a run with Inle`, Ginkgo. Got it, I'll get her, and-"
Pepper scooted out then and she sighed with relief. Done, she was so very done.
"Thank Frith... alright, everyone as fast as you can, back to the warren before he's on us again!"

 +Bloodroot+ Blood’s ears lifted at a sound at his back. He turned to gaze at the thing behind them. It had been an open place before; and now it wasn’t which meant it could be again. “Better make it faster than that.” He gave himself a shake and took off. He wasn’t sure where to go, the warren or home. (( ooc: Claim ))

 Bad though her sight was with one blind eye Darkbrier had tried to keep her good eye toward the barn, hoping her attempt at a distraction might draw the farmer out. What she finally saw though were rabbits heading away from the barn, and rather more than had been on her team to start with. Thank Frith.
"Eh, fellows, our efforts are no longer needed, they seem to have made it out. Let's be away before we get trampled!" She turned to follow her own advice, slipping painfully beneath the fence and toward the Down. Thank Frith and Inle' both for the blessing of dark fur on a night like this.

Fox-Spot's ears flickered to the sound of Altha's words. Seemed everyone was out of the barn and was now calling for everyone to retreat, he stopped messing with the horses and let his brother tug him away. "H-h-h-ome Mouse. L-l-lets go home!" he said, tugging his ears free and bounding forward, before stopping to double back for Darkbrier to see if she was ok. When he heard her words and saw her slipping off he nodded, dashing back to his brother and shoving him along towards the down. "G-go g-go go go gogogogogoggo." he said frantically, eager to get back home and curl up with his marli.

Mouse was so pleased/relieved everything seemed to be over that he lay back and let his brother push him a little way, "To the warren! ...Race you?!" he smirked and took off in a flash, "You'll never catch me! I am the fastest rabbit ALLLLLIVEEEEEE!"

 With the last of the rabbits out of the barn, Talltale was glad to see that everyone was headed home together. Waiting for the last of them to move, he too headed for home and the warmth of the warren.
