Asteroid: Penthesilea

Plural/Possessive: Penthesilean
Major Exports: Mercenaries, building materials
Major Imports: None - Penthesilea was mostly self-sufficient for food, clothing, et cetera
Climate: Tropical
Major On-Planet Industry: Farming, battle training

Culture:

Pethesileans were warriors, through and through. They were trained practically from birth to fight, and at age seven, every Penthesilean girl went to the agoge to be trained in military matters. She left at age fourteen, at which point she was considered an adult and fully capable of mastering herself.

The Senshi of Penthesilea went through the same process as every other girl, and was regularly identified during her agoge training. Traditionally, Sailor Penthesilea was Awakened as a chibi, and at age thirteen began training to complete the three Trials that would bond her fully to her planet and graduate her from Chibi to full Senshi. These Trials also allowed her access to the Great Library, Great Hospital, and eventually the Pantheon (though these bans were purely social in the past, they are enforced by magic in the present). Other girls in the agoge were completely forbidden from those places until their graduation.

Economy: Many Penthesileans worked as mercenaries, and there were several legendary bands that originated from the planet. Beyond that, Penthesilea was primarily self-sufficient, and did very little trade. Though they had much political and diplomatic contact with the outside world, they were a proud and fierce people who preferred to create what they needed from their own resources.

Politics: Penthesilea was strictly matriarchal - men held no positions of power in their government. The major leaders were the Triad - the Matriarch, a political leader; the High Priestess, a religious leader, and the Senshi, expected to be the high general of Penthesilea's armies, should they ever go to war. It was essentially a meritocracy, though changes of leadership (usually only changes of Matriarch, as the High Priestess and Senshi were considered sacred) were often bloody.

Religion: Penthesileans were polytheist, with a number of goddesses (and a very few male gods) for a wide variety of areas. Penthesilean worship was a simple thing - most maintained a shrine in their homes, and brought small tribute to the Goddesses daily. There were festivals at the changing of the seasons, after large military victories, and when a new Matriarch, High Priestess, or Senshi rose to power.

Major Pantheon:
Elgar'nan - Goddess of war and vengeance, called the All-Father (despite her gender), a fierce and powerful woman who along with Mythal, her bride, created Penthesilea and its peoples.
Mythal - Goddess of protection and love, called the All-Mother, gentle next to Elgar'nan's ferocity, healed her bride create Penthesilea and is peoples.
Dirthamen - Goddess of secrets, the protector of plans, and the patron of tacticians.
Falon'Din - Goddess of the dead, guided the dead to their eternal rest.
Andruil - Goddess of the hunt, taught Penthesileans mastery over the beasts of their world.
Sylaise - Goddess of the hearth and healing, taught Penthesileans the importance of home and family, as well as medicine. Most Penthesilean homes had a small shrine to her.
Ghilan'nain - Goddess of nature and the harvest, also associated (alongside Mythal) with fertility, taught Penthesileans farming techniques and mastery over their land.
June - Goddess of crafts and building, worked in concert with Ghilan'nain and Andruil to create the necessary tools for the harvest and the hunt, and taught them craft of all sorts from sewing to pottery.
Fen'harel - Goddess of betrayal, very rarely honored in a straightforward way - instead, offerings are made to her to protect from treason, and those who die traitors are said to go to her for their punishment.

Vallaslin:

When a Penthesilean proved herself - usually in war, but sometimes outside it - she would receive vallaslin ("blood-writing") tattoos commemorating her deeds. Each type of vallaslin honored a particular god, associated with the type of deed she had performed, and sometimes more than one type was combined to honor a particular deed. There is no vallaslin for Fen'harel, as there is no glory in betrayal.

Some examples of deeds that would earn a particular type of vallaslin:

Elgar'nan - Glory of the most straightforward type - led a successful assault, captured an important landmark, slayed a large number of enemies.
Mythal - Glory in protection - took a wound to protect another soldier, held the line to cover a retreat. Many vallaslin to Mythal are applied as part of a funeral ceremony.
Dirthamen - Glory in cleverness - created and executed a particularly excellent tactic, outsmarted the enemy, won an intelligence victory.
Falon'Din - Glory in death - protected the dead on the battlefield, slayed
Andruil - Glory in hunting - led a guerrilla assault, brought back a particularly important prisoner of war, brought back a particularly large and dangerous hunting prize.
Sylaise - Glory off the battlefield - worked tirelessly as a field nurse, saved another soldier's life through medicine, helped evacuate civilians.
Ghilan'nain - Glory in nature - often applied in concert with Dirthanmen vallaslin - clever use of the landscape, acquisition of useful food and supplies, particularly good harvest technique.
June - Glory in design - created a new weapon, used an old one in a clever way, demonstrated excellence in crafting.

Important Locations:
Telnarquel - Penthesilea's only major city, divided into three sections by massive walls named after Penthesilean goddesses. The walls were designed to be easily defensible, sohuld an attack come.
Wall Ghilan'nain - The outermost wall of Telnarquel, in which much of Penthesilea's farming and agriculture is contained
Wall June - The middle wall of Telnarquel, populated mostly by merchants and craftsfolk.
Wall Elgar'nan - The central wall of Telnarquel, where the most important Penthesilean structure were contained, including the Great Library, the Pantheon, the Colosseum, and the Great Hospital.
Great Library of Telnarquel - A massive library, inside which were thousands of books on Penthesilean and galactic history, philosophy, military strategy and tactics, cartography, geography, law, and any number of other subjects. It was surprisingly well-maintained and expansive.
Great Hospital of Telnarquel - A medical center developed to house as many of the people of Penthesilea as possible. Its full facilities were rarely needed.
Pantheon - A grand temple, in which all of Penthesilea's major gods were honored. In the catacombs below were the graves of Penthesilean matriarchs, Senshi, and High Priestesses.
Colosseum - A rand structure similar to the one in Rome on Earth, and with a similar purpose. Blood sport was popular entertainment on Penthesilea, and a year or two fighting in the Colosseum was considered practically a requirement for a girl who aspired to high office in the military.
Andruil's Wood - The jungle that surrounded Telnarquel; many small villages existed within its woods.
River Ashara - The largest river on Penthesilea and its main water source and speediest transportation option. It connects most of Penthesilea's major cities, including Telnarquel.
Everspire Mountains - The major geological feature of Penthesilea; Mielikki's Wood is in the valley surrounded by these peaks, and they also contain the headwaters of the River Ashara.
Mythal's Chalice - A large lake in the Everspire Mountains, and the source of the River Ashara.

Thraen
Main Belt Asteroid

"The man who has planted a garden feels that he has done something for the good of the world." ~ Vita Sackville-West

ABSTRACT
Plural/Possessive:
Thraenean
A small world, Thraen was home to a population that rarely exceeded five thousand. The Senshi of Thraen never visited the Moon, and never recognized the sovereignty of the Moon Court in any business. Being small and self sufficient as it was, Thraen's independence (or existence at all) didn't impact the White Moon Court, anyway. The total area of the surface of Thraen is a bit under 1000 square miles, though with extensive natural caverns and some man-made underground ways, mostly comprised of wild nature and many large, highly manicured gardens of different biome sorts. Theirs was a culture very based on recycling and renewal, where pollution and waste were minimal. The governing was handled by a noble elect that tended towards hereditary, based in a system of 30 shires ruled over by the central House of Root and Stone (that of the Senshi in the capital). Law arbitration, international affairs, records, and higher education were handled at the capital. Thraeneans were a quiet, creative people with slow tempers and a great love of nature and thought.

Technologically/culturally, Thraenean society was a retroimagined pseudo-steam community with heavy fantasy elements, drawing heavy influence from the Victorian period in England, the Regency, Muromachi Japan, though lacking in any level of 'industrialization' by way of mass production. The only sort of large scale production much used was the printing press, and at that often like early printing history on terra, made to look like the hand bound and illuminated pieces that were more valued.

Landmarks:

  • Gedgrave, the Conservatory - Massive, sophisticated glass and metalwork in the style and feel of Victorian greenhouse architecture. It is the keeping place of study, development and research into formal gardens (Roman, English, etc.) and various species of exotic plants. The facilities house elaborate gardens within twenty-six rooms of the Conservatory itself and on the adjoining grounds.

  • Wenadestuna, The Selfless Walks - What Earth would understand as ‘asian’ style gardens, Managed by the Wynhaeth Bloodline. There are tea houses where visitors and natives may visit or stay, dry landscapes, ponds, moss studies, strolling gardens and others that studied, celebrated and explored the aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. ‘Wabi-Sabi Shibui’ aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete". Impermanence, suffering and emptiness or absence of self-nature are all contemplated through the design, maintenance and enjoyment of these walks.
Characteristics of the design and aesthetic include asymmetry, asperity (roughness or irregularity), simplicity, economy, austerity, modesty, intimacy and appreciation of the ingenuous integrity of natural objects and processes.

  • Loar's Wander - Description

  • Medve Tumulus - Description

  • Fellsigh Fountain - Description

The People:

The natives were an ambisexual race, usually presenting as colourful asexuals with metallic flecks in skin pigmentation at the cheeks, shoulders across the clavicals, and hips. Their ears were pointed, and their legs were longer than Terran proportion. Gender was reflexively assumed when a mate was desired, or found, but as a involuntary act (that reflected on the projected wants and pheromones of the potential mates available) without a great deal of training and practice. Thraeneans found strict gender binaries both fascinating and worrisome- such societies limit their genetic recombination. A Thraenean that mates with an offworlder still produces a Thraenean in most cases. The average lifespan of a Thraenean was roughly 200 years.

Visitors were always welcome, especially visitors willing to 'share their pollen.' Expats and naturalizations were welcomed only if the individuals could prove a dedication away from destructive habits of other societies (like war, racism, religious fanaticism, etc). As a culture, they were highly focused on study, meditation, debate and aesthetics. Nothing made was done so hastily. While technology had its place, they were not fascinated by it, preferring to use what was helpful and necessary without becoming slave to impositions on perception. (Think of life before watches and clocks- people would meet at 'noon' which could be anywhere in a space of a few hours)

Social Hierarchy:
  • Senshi - The Senshi and the family House of the senshi are the pinnacle nobles, not elect but truly hereditary. Their house handles much of the international and high level law for the society. Additionally, the senshi themselves was directly responsible for the well being of the world- the collar chain worn by every senshi was a direct symbol and tie to the inner sanctums of the world, They were at once its master and sacrifice, who's living in the deeps and relationship with the world would provide the flow of water, weather, the production of minerals through the soils and rocks, and the general renewal of the world necessary to sustain life. As such, it was very rare for the Senshi of Thraen to leave the world for more than a year unless the need was great.
The line of the Senshi was always known and indicated by the presence of expressive, flame-coloured eyes among the children of the house. This eye colour was only found in the House of Root and Stone, and only in the Senshi and possibly a chibi senshi to inherit the post. The senshi of Thraen had a tendency to present as female to ambassadors and foreigners, as it seemed to be more calming to them to be a single, definable gender and also the less 'aggressive' of the genders.

  • Nobles - Elected to each of the shires for life terms, though able to be voted from confidence, the nobles directed the choices of design, research, and production of needs in the gardens and biomes within their keeping. They were also responsible for reporting to the House of Root & Stone.

  • Tradesmen - Trades, rather than industry, were the method of production of finished goods. Training tended to be on an apprentice system, and goods created of artisan quality- Thraeneans were culturally very patient.

The Economy:

Garden Parties: To have a soiree at the conservatories of Thraen was a selective, sublime and expensive honor managed by few, but sought after and remembered by many. The decoration and settings, the custom garden walks and designs as well as the absolutely fresh and handcrafted delicacies of fruit, vegetable and fungal gourmet surpassed the most fanciful stories of fiction.

Exports:
  • Plants - Scientific engineering and genetic modifications were frowned on, but traditional selective breeding still used in Thraenean horticulture. Plants, the celebration and study of their many forms and functions, were a major part of society. As such, the variety available was a commodity that could be shared with the rest of the cosmos.

  • Garden Architects / Designers - The arranging of many parts to one whole, or many wholes, the vision of design of plant, stone, water and space, were all highly practiced and integral to Thraenean society. They could make a breathing, 'garden' space of any biome and any materials, worth enjoying.

  • Produce - With so many plants and so much recycling, vegetables and fruits were in abundant supply. Famine, unless the ruling senshi was ailing, missing, or dead, was virtually unknown.

  • Linen - Created from flax, this cloth was a major component of Thraenean culture.

  • Silk - Not from the Terran worms and mulberries (though they did import some from Terra), but from trees like weeping willows whose petals were like streamers of colourful silken stuff that could be woven into a lustrous cloth.

Imports:
  • Metals and Minerals - With such a small world, and one where renewal and balance were important, strip mining or heavy mining in general were unknown. Raw materials like metal and minerals for the Conservatory, or for the little machinery available were not often available in quantity from domestic market.

  • Sand - For glass or for desert gardens. Again, without large scale quarrying, there was no great production of sand or gravel domestically.

  • Precious stones - For jewelry, for architectural embellishment, for paint pigments- they were valued for their aesthetics but not lusted for. Thraeneans would offer fair prices for beautification and design.

  • Interesting fauna - Some gardens and designs are meant to have specific wild life (such as peacocks in a fountain walk, or Koi in a pond). Varieties of these that were new and beneficial, or appropriate for a new type of garden, were welcomed and imported from other worlds.

Minor Planet* - Chariklo
* = Chariklo is technically classified as a Centaur

Overview
The centaur Chariklo is know colloquially as the Pirate Planet. Peopled by scavengers, criminals, smugglers and the like, it is at best, a port of call where one's excesses will be overlooked provided your tab is promptly paid and you don't kill. At worst, it is a stinking, seething hive of villainy where anything can be acquired for the right price. And we do mean anything.

World Information
The Pirate Planet. Chariklo is a sea-covered, island dotted planet. The largest island is considered the seat of power and is notable for the large and treacherous cliffs that rise up from the sea surrounding it. It is also quite notable for the way the fog and sea-mist enshroud the islands, leaving them in a cool, almost perpetual pearly gloom.

Notable Flora and Fauna
Chariklan Gull. These fiesty and ferocious birds come in a variety of sizes and colors, all resembling, to some degree, Terran seagulls. However, it should be noted that unlike the seagulls of the Earth, Chariklan Gulls are able to communicate through what can only be called mind speech. They are also quite easy to bribe if you want one to go out and spy then report back. Some few will form permanent bonds with the Chariklans, but this is rare and seen most typically with the planet's Senshi.

Koanla. A small, quick moving fish that is highly prized as a delicacy. Living in huge schools near the surface of the sea, the koanla are mainly known for three things: the rapidity with which they breed, their tasty flesh, and their shimmering, iridescent hides which are valued for their beauty and toughness. Mostly hunted by the Chariklans and Gulls.

Humih. Living in the deeper waters of the planet's ocean are the Humih. Rarely seen unless one washes up on the beach, the humih are a mystery to the Chariklans. They are said to be gentle giants, but as they are so rarely seen, it is impossible to verify. When one does wash up, it is harvested for it's bone, hide and fat. The meat is considered too bitter for mass consumption as well as quite toxic unless certain steps are taken in its preparation.

Dafri Tree. Seen mostly on the largest island, the dafri tree is cultivated for it's wood (which shines with a delicate purple sheen when treated) and the dafri fruit which is eaten raw, grilled, juiced or turned into spirits. The fruit has a sweetly astringent taste and is considered a sovereign remedy for nausea.

Willaweed. An edible seaweed, willaweed is harvested from the cliffs and beaches where it frequently washes up. When dried or smoked, it will keeps for months and can be used in soups and stews or as travel rations similar to beef jerky. When cooked fresh, it has a pleasantly salty flavor and resembles cabbage.

Key Locations.
Jokal. The largest island on Chariklo, Jokal is home to the planet's Senshi. It is also home to the largest and safest harbor. And as such, sees the most traffic in terms of merchants, traders and smugglers. The buildings on Jokal are loud, garish and tend towards the eclectic and chaotic in terms of decor. It is also home to...

The Grand Market. Here one may purchase whatever one is searching for, whether legal or not. The one vice that the Chariklans will not allow is the purchase or selling of sentient slaves. That is simply begging for trouble to come and smack them with a stick. The more public parts of the market are full of brightly colored flags fluttering in the breeze, cheerful haggling and goods changing hands. The more questionable parts are located deep within the shops and tents of the merchants and oft-times require a specific invitation to get in.

The Gull's Nest. The Chariklan senshi's 'castle'. It is here that she hears cases and passes judgements. It is also here that scandalous parties are thrown and some very interesting trade negotiations take place...

Culture Information
People. Known as Chariklans, natives of the planet are typically brash, cheerful and affectionate. Given that most operate as scavengers and smugglers, the technology of Chariklo is as eclectic and varied as its people.

Chariklans typically come in all the sizes and colors as the people of Earth. However, all Chariklans sport pointed ears and small, delicately feathered eartufts. They also tend towards duel-toned eyes.

Society. The senshi of the planet is seen as the ruler of the planet for the most part. However, she works with a council if any large policy changes are required. However, given that at any time, the council is made up of those suspected of being part of the criminal element... well.

The common people enjoy their planet's notoriety and gleefully take part in whatever enterprises they can. Really, it's a wonder anything useful gets done.

Economy. Barter and trade! Well, and stealing, smuggling, outright piracy...
Primary Exports. Feather accessories, Koanla, Dafri wood, fruit and spirits, Willaweed
Primary Imports. Livestock/Herdbeasts, Produce, Dairy, Fabric, Metals, Tools, Anything shiny or interesting

Politics. Oh, rofl.

Recreation.
1. Visit Chariklo
2. Provide Money and/or Goods
3. PROFIT?!?!
4. Have Fun!

Asteroid - Nyx
Armor and Mars-Crosser Class

The World
The landscape of Nyx mainly consists of various types of deciduous, coniferous, taiga, shrubland, and freshwater environments. To a lesser degree, there are areas of tundra and saltwater, but they are treated as interesting destinations rather than viable places to inhabit. Vegetation comes in a literal rainbow of options, including black, white, and gray, although the shades are muted and subdued. The weather does not usually vary greatly, with most of the asteroid existing in the range of 15 - 60 degrees F with a cycle of fall-winter-spring. Notably, the nighttime hours are three to four hours longer than the hours of daylight. Besides the Nyctians, there is a great variety of animal life supported on the asteroid. A majority of them are nocturnal, supported by relatively long night cycles. These creatures have either developed excellent night vision or otherwise adapted with glowing body parts or reliance on other sources of light. As a whole, the creatures on Nyx are relatively vicious and aggressive.

People
Nyctians are largely humanoid, including the usual ranges for height, weight, and builds, save that females usually grow to be as tall as males. There are some notable differences, however. Nyctians have a slightly gray tint to their skin, which otherwise can range from a cream-white-pale to a light brown, and a second black sclera that extends in low light to improve night vision. Above their ears and eyes, nestled in their hair, are two pairs of antennae which give them improved hearing. Hair, much like the leaves on the Nyctian plant life, can present in an array of muted colors.

Nyctian Culture and Society
The culture on Nyx is extremely centered around storytelling (oral and forms of puppetry are the most common), nature, and maintaining harmony (through force if necessary). They are a strictly structured society in terms of respect for hierarchy and their ancestors. Creativity is greatly encouraged as long as it does not present falsehoods as truth - that is, baseless gossip could be a crime. Compulsive liars and mills of deceit are severely looked down upon and are not tolerated in upstanding neighborhoods. The equivalent of fairytails are always preceded by a warning and should be free of slandering allusions. They put a great deal of power in the spoken word. Nyctian culture goes so far as to equate formal oration to a control over nature and even reality itself. Every child learns the oral tales of the past, an unwritten library that will continue to expand into adulthood. Bard culture is, needless to say, alive and well.
The highest form of orating is called Scáth agus Solas, a phantasmagoria show involving manipulation of the asteroid’s particular gold-glowing Or dust, hand-crafted paper puppets, special lanterns, and a mysterious, old magic. Only the highest level filid can master the ability to control the creatures that roam Nyx’s nights, themselves being partially made of shadow, to take the place of the puppets. Only the senshi of Nyx can summon them on command.
Their clothing consists of natural fabrics (cotton, linen, wool), often layered and loose fitting. Basically "mori style." In line with the rest of their culture, high regards are given to antique pieces.

Landmarks
The Gathering - A small forest of huge trees thought to be representative of the first great civilization that remembered its stories and passed them on to others. In the Silver Millenium, the forest is not a living space, but a destination for the entire asteroid. It maintains a lax, though respectful atmosphere. Visitors may read or learn song-stories under branches and snuggle up in the grooves made by deep roots and long knees. It is customary to give the trees hugs, and if a big enough clan travels there together, they can reach all the way around the trunk. The oldest song-stories in all of Nyx can be found collected in the local music conservatory.

Storm Upon Kottol - The largest river on Nyx, a title earned by a combination of width and length. (There are a few other rivers that are deeper, but Storm is still quite impressive on that front.) Located in the ancient city of Kottol, the name comes from how it appears that a great hurricane crashed to the earth and settled there, forever to churn horizontally instead of vertically. Thankfully, much of the storm calmed when it landed, but there are still a few areas where the waters riffle and deceptively possess a very strong undertow. It is in these locations that it is said there is a direct link to Uterlund, where Nyx's and even the entire universes' worst creatures are imagined. Many travel to hear the otherworldly tales of what has spawned there and what has been defeated… or what still roams the stars today.

Eoghan and Aodh - The home-turned-sanctuary/conservatory of the titular traveling poets who became Nyx's first filid by unlocking the answer of Uterland and the Light in Infinity. Finding the answer too dangerous, complex, and unhealthy to simply repeat to the populace, they instead threaded it into a riddle. Every Nyctian knows the riddle by heart, but none, so far, have been able to solve it while alive. It is said that when one dies, the accumulation of their entire lives come together in the Light in Infinity, which together reveal the answer and can allow the person to join the Light.
This two-person dynamic is represented in the ruling body of Nyx: consisting of one royal, hereditary line and the asteroid's senshi. Law states that the royal embodies the will of the people (present) and the senshi embodies the traditions (past and future). Together, they can maintain harmony on Nyx.

Cian - Cian is the largest township on Nyx and serves as the seat of royalty. The castle itself is built masterfully into the side of a large mountain, overlooking the prosperous and bustling town. It is located close to the Eoghan and Aodh, where Nyx's senshi traditionally resides. The architecture is considered some of the best on the asteroid, as designers have to continuously find new ways to incorporate the growing population of homes into the natural lay of the valleys surrounding the mountain.

There are few outstanding man-made landmarks on the asteroid, since Nyctians do not value architecture that separates itself too greatly from nature.

Economy
Exports: woodland fruits and nuts, trees and bush, cooking supplies, stories, unique light sources, medicinal herbs, poisons, artwork, loom work, performers and entertainers (strictly non-sexual), spies
Imports: stories, performers and entertainers, artwork, other artisan goods, meat

Asteroid ~ Antiope

User Image

The world of Antiope was a deceptively beautiful land. It was a tropic land with many species of plants, ranging from flowers to bamboo to fields of rice. The land was a largely self sufficient asteroid with its own well known secrets.

Antiopian Landmarks:
  • Bamboo Forest - A good quarter of the world was covered by this large forest. Several villages were located within the shelter of the Bamboo and utilized the natural resource for building sturdy homes and effective weaponry.
  • The Farm Lands - Though there were several across the asteroid, approximately another quarter of the world was effectively used for farming purposes. Several were dedicated to the staple food, Rice, but other smaller farms were utilized for various spices, fruits, and vegetables. Crops rarely had to worry about insect pests, since each farm had their own native population of predatory mantises which allowed crops to prosper.
  • The Praying Falls - Located West of the Antiopian Palace were three waterfalls surrounded by a natural garden of sorts. It was rumored that those who confess their love at the Falls would have a bond that could never be broken.
  • The Antiopian Palace - The most recent sovereign of the world resided in this grand palace located in the Capital of the world. It was built in the classic style of the Imperial Chinese Palaces (from Earth). It could serve as residence for up to 500 guests. Though most times the guests were dignitaries from other worlds, it was occasionally used to house the soldiers that were traveling through the capital.
  • Royal Bath House - A large addition to the Antiopian Palace that was built over natural hot springs. It served as a tourist attraction and brought in vast amounts of revenue for the Antiopian populace. It was able to house 100 guests at a time. The women who work the bath house tend to be the most hospitable and charismatic, making any guest feel at home. No task was beneath a Bath House employee when it came to the customer's satisfaction. It was not uncommon for an interested foreigner to receive intimate attentions from the Bath House staff.
  • NOTE: Every region of this world had some species of Mantis native to it.

The Native Antiopians:
The native population of the asteroid of Antiope was rather similar to the populations found on Earth that are designated as Asian in decent. Typically their skin tone had a sort of faint yellowish hue, though the skin tones could be light or dark, depending on the region they lived in. Usually the native population had dark hair colors, though very rarely a native could be born with lighter hair colors.

Upon first glance, it would seem odd that an astounding 95% of the population was female, with a dwindling 5% of the natives being male. However, these numbers were artificially influenced due to the spiritual beliefs of the natives, which actually led to the females reducing the number of males in their region to minimal numbers.

As a note, many of the natives would have also considered the various species of Mantis native to their world to also have counted as part of their village. The Mantis was highly respected to the point of being considered a part of the population.

The Antiopian Culture:
It was a well known fact during the Silver Millennium that the Antiopian World was essentially a Cult society that worshiped the Mantis. The natives took many lessons from the insect, including the martial arts and interaction between the different sexes. Their beliefs made the world a very dangerous place for any male to visit and was typically treated with much caution. They were commonly labeled as Amazons based upon their beliefs (not so much based upon physical stature).

Antiopians were considered rather harsh in their treatment of males. Foreign males were typically slaughtered as unwanted invaders, with their remains being put on display in warning. The native Antiopian males were treated as a slave class all their life from the moment they were born, subservient to the superior female. Male children were raised as slave labor, and upon puberty there were three options for how to tend to their fates:

  • Slave Labor - The kindest of the fates which allowed them to flee the land they were raised/abused with their lives in tact. Most of the slaves were sold to other worlds as exports, since the Asteroid Antiope had the male children to serve their slave needs.
  • Breeding Studs - The fate which was best for the survival of the Antiopian populace, though not kind to the male. Upon puberty, if the male showed physical promise, they would ritualistically have their eyes gouged out and forced to serve as seed donators for procreation. They were typically put into a dungeon style living quarters and were given the bare minimum to survive for several years.
  • Sacrifice - The cruelest fate for a male was in fact the most common practice. Frequently a male would be slaughtered upon puberty, and their blood would be used to "bless" the various crops.

Sending a male dignitary would have been considered an act of war, and frequently the male dignitary would end up forfeiting their life as a warning to the outside universe.

The Antiopian women were very self sufficient, taking on many jobs that men would take on in other societies. They could work the farms, build homes, create weaponry, and even serve as soldiers. Due to how well they were able to take care of themselves, the women felt no desire to leave their world. It was theorized many refused to leave the asteroid because of the fear that exposing themselves to male dominated societies would ruin their world-view.

The way courting tended to work typically relied on women to relocate to other villages after they found the woman they wanted to settle down with. This was largely due to the fact each village had maybe 1-2 breeding studs at most, and relocating to another village would reduce the chances of "sharing a father" with their child.

Social Hierarchy:
  • Sovereign - The Royal blood of the world. The leader of the cult society who was treated as sacred.
  • Senshi - Served directly under the Sovereign as the Captain of the Guard. Though fate was responsible for the position more than actual capability, the Senshi of Antiope was given rigorous training the moment they were discovered, creating the most capable warrior on the world. She was constantly traveling, scouting the land and assisting in the lesser advantaged villages as needed.
  • Mantis - The Mantis was considered a sacred insect and was the physical embodiment of the Antiopian principles. They were highly valued in the society, frequently kept as free roaming pets.
  • Soldiers - Trained in combat, they served under the Captain of the Guard. Much like the Senshi of Antiope, they traveled constantly, scouting the land and assisting the lesser advantaged villages as needed.
  • Villagers - Much of the world lived their lives in their villages, simply maintaining a basic lifestyle. The women could be farmers, builders, artisans, metal smiths, or whatever else they were capable of doing. They lived the simple life, and they could not ask for anything more.
  • Children - This was comprised of both the female and male children. There was a sort of hierarchy amongst children, with the females being superior and the males being treated as slave laborers, but both were still considered the same class until puberty. Upon puberty, the females went up in social class, and the males, if permitted to live, would go down in social class.
  • Men - The only surviving men in the society were the Breeding Studs. They were not even treated as Human or Mantis, given the bare minimum to survive and kept in dungeon like environments. Many of the Breeding Studs typically wished for death due to the quality of their life being so miserable.

Antiopian Intergalactic Policies: Antiopians were quite content staying to themselves and living their lives with their ideals. However, this did not mean they were unfriendly to other worlds. It was true that men were not welcomed and in fact typically murdered if they set foot on the world. However, the foreign women were welcomed with open arms. As long as the dignitaries were women, foreign exchange and alliances could be formed. The Antiopian Women were typically hospitable to the foreign women, and most times the foreigners were encouraged to go to the Royal Bath House for the most supreme pampering.

Antiopian Economy: Antiopians used a currency that could be likened to gold coins (though the metal was not actually gold, despite being similar). The currency was called Odea, usually formed into coins with a hole in the center for easier storage upon a belt or sash. Foreign currencies could be used on Asteroid Antiope, though a native typically would have to calculate the value of the foreign currency to the native currency.

Exports:
  • Male Slaves- The male children who were not used for breeding studs and were not sacrificed were trained early to become servants. They were rather obedient and typically shipped off before puberty. It was a blessing for the male slaves to be used as an export, for it ensured a better quality of life.
  • Teas - Tea was a common crop in the Farm Lands and a staple in Antiopian society. In turn, it was easy to use for trade with other willing worlds.
  • Rice - Rice was another common crop in the Farm Lands and a staple in Antiopian society. In turn, it was easy to use for trade with other willing worlds.
  • Spices - More specialized Farm Lands were utilized for growing different sorts of spices. It was more difficult to grow, but the results were usually more valuable than the more basic crops.
  • Odea - A precious metal only found on Antiope. It was typically mined using the young male slave population as the labor. It could be exported as the raw material, or it could be exported as a polished product (such as jewelry). Odea was a soft metal, so using it for weaponry was not ideal unless mixed with a more solid metal.

Imports:
  • Silk - Even though it was a foreign style of cloth, it was highly coveted by the Antiopians due to how soft the cloth was.
  • Various Metals - Though Antiopians had a small number of mining areas upon their world, they preferred to import the metal they used for weaponry and jewelry.
  • Various Gemstones - Similar to the Metal that was imported, the Antiopians also imported gemstones to be used for jewelry and decorative weaponry.
  • Livestock - Though there were other creatures beside the Mantis on Antiope, the Antiopians were quite open minded when it came to trying new meats and produce. The farmers were willing to tend to the new beasts. Some would survive and thrive, and some were not able to cope with the climate. Keeping as much livestock as they could handle made for a good selection of food for the Royal Bath House.

Note: Heavy inspiration came from the island of Nyosei from the Fushigi Yuugi series by Yuu Watase.

Methone

Saturn Minor Moon

Plural/Possessive: Methonians
Main Exports: Tropical fruit, plants. Curative medicines, Poisons. Fresh water fish. Gems and Stones. (Specific stones are called Sun Stones)
Main Imports: Dairy, Cotton/Silk/Linen, tools, Books, Instruments
Industries: Agriculture and Tourism
Inspirations: A tropical paradise with islander like structures and monuments.
Capital City: City of Lights - The largest main city, often known as the port of Lights, or the ferryway of lights. This city recieves most trade from other outer planets, as well as tourist.

Castle: Aurora's Pathway (Also known as the castle dedicated to Saturn, who they have a strong political and spiritual bond with.) The castle is used for negoations of trade and conduct between Methone and Saturn mostly. Other planets are welcomed there as well. Ambassdor's are always reserved the finest rooms in the castles for their stays.

Underwater Lights: A very small city built by Aegir for Methone per trade agreements, The city is deep off the beach of the main island, with thin tunnels and pathways. It caters to comfort and is often referred to outside tourist as the Sea hotel.

World: Methone is a small half moon orbiting around Saturn, with a small faint ring and shadowed mostly in Saturn's size. Because of this, the planet has no sunlight but instead, a large Aurora Borealis that is always active. The long ribbon of lights stretches far over scattered islands. The moon itself is also 95% ocean, rivers and lakes. The Main Island is about as large as 2000 miles across. Smaller islands span about 500 miles to even small ones as 50 miles.

The main island takes a very direct approach to natural habitats. Glass and wood materials are used to make homes, allowing residents to have light as well as sturdy homes. Living quarters are shared, while kitchens are a community faucet. A large kitchen/dining area is set up on the Island where residents and guest can eat.

A greenhouse is required in all habitable areas, so Methonions may grow their biggest exports, which are various herbs that can cure small wounds, or more poisonous ones for other uses. It requires a very special ore mined from under their sea beds, called Sunstones.

The world before: Methone was a very spiritual world, with it's residents relying on a strong bond to the planet itself. They often held spiritual dances and festivals to honor the world they lived on, and in turn, the world would bless them with a bountiful harvest, or a peaceful year from storms. Very rarely, has there ever been a major world disaster, as most weather anamolies are very small storms, with little to almost no rain.

Large dias's were built for the sacred dances, which soon became a highlight for the tourism that they garnered. Thanks to a negoation with the princess of Saturn, Methone had introduced a new way of life to her planet. As generation came, Methone because the planet to see before dying. Literally. The planet gained the nickname of a peaceful stop before the final rest, the light before the end of the tunnel. Methonions took that to heart, and often softened their hearts and minds to compensate for the weary and tired travelers they would get.

Added to that, Methonions made a deep connection with Alrescha, exchanging goods and various other things. If Alreschans so choose, they were welcomed to live on Methone as they had plenty of water and sea for Alreschans to survive. And Vice versa, Methonions could live on Alrescha should they choose. The two races respect and care for each other, making them a strong alliance.

Another strong alliance was with the planet Aegir, as Methonions traded their valuable sunstones to the other moon in return for construction of an underwater city where Alreschans and Methonions could reside. It is also large enough to offer rooms to guest who wish to see underwater life in their natural state.

Fauna/Fruit/Plants: Ranges from most tropical ferns and plants, to fruits. Island trees like Palms and Sennas.
Milk Honey Nut: a nut that resembles a coconut that has a thick white milk with a slight honey scent.
Strawbana: A large banana plant with a faint strawberry scent. It's flesh is a delicate pink and it has been known to be the fruit of love on Methone.
Hibiscuscuss: A large edible flower in a bright blue color with a strong raspberry flavor. It's used in teas and fruit drinks.

Animals:
Long tailed Auroracoat: Most all of methone's bird life has long tails and colorful feathers. They usually range from small palm size, to a larger owl size. Few Methonions have trained the birds to use as communicators between islands.
Borealis Tit: A very small round bird with a fluffy amount of down. They are the most common birds, often treated as pets and spoiled.

Various Sea life: They have a various amount of sea life introduced from earth, like fish and larger mammals like whales and Dolphins and Sharks. A little further out is a large surrounding coral reef where most of the life takes place. The underwater eco system is very similar to earth.

Methone does not have very large animals as the plants they grow can be very toxic.

Government: Methone is a very laidback planet, that relies on a council to decide matters. There is a representive from the major Islands that will gather and talk of trades and outer planet negotations.

Economy: Methone is a trade and barter economy. There is no money, and gems and stones have no value besides to be used as materials. Because the planet is very bountiful, often trading is used between outer planets. Most the time, methonions are very generous and sharing.

Culture: Methonions pride themselves on having a connection to their planet, taking the time to decorate and care for the important landmarks of their land. The main island in point had over 20 points of locations that equalled some sort of spiritual connection to the planet, as well as deep meaning for the Methonions.

Because of this, Methonions were a prized location to go when people wanted to find inner peace. Most of the landmarks are attended to by caregivers, and they do their best to keep the Island clean free of debris. Travelers are asked for common courtesy and it happens!

Methonions are also prized for their dance abilities, as dancing is the huge communication technique from them to their planet. Because of this, it is a true joy and rare delight to see Methonions Northern lights ritual dance. The dias they commit their ritual is the most decorated dance that faces right under the brightest peak of northern lights.

Fashion: Methonions enjoy light easy to move clothing, designed with galaxy sheer prints, bikini bottoms and tops, Vest or shorts. Because of the tropical climate, thinner clothing was desired. All Methonions were blessed with a sash that looked like Northern lights, often called Aurora Sashes. Some used them for dance, some used them for fashion. Some were gifted away to outer planets if they wished.

Sailor Methone: Sailor Methone was known as the 'Ferryman'. As in old mythology, Sailor Methone was the only one that could connect Saturn and Methonions together by traveling between the two (Such as the ferryman from one side of the river of dead to the other). Sailor Methone's were always born female, as the population consisted of 75% more females then males, and was more often then not, born as a only child.

Methone and the Moon Kingdom: Methone had no alliance to the moon kingdom besides with Saturn. As they were a small planet, they didn't garner attention from the moon kingdom.

Altais

Beta Draconis Large Star

Plural/Possessive: Altasians
Main Exports: Sand arts, Sand Glass, Sand, Gems, Gold
Main Imports: Everything
Industries: Port Town, Tourism, Trading. Think outpost in space
Inspirations: Oasis ports, Middle eastern desert cities.
Capital City: Fal'Talis - The largest and only know inhibited city of the large star. The rest is desert. Water comes from deep in the ground and pools almost deep as 100 feet. It is as clear as glass. Foliage is hardy plants like cactuses and trees. Some rare colorful flowers can be seen.

Castle: Fal'Talis's castle is a large structure that takes up most of the eastern part of town. It is protected by high range cliffs and sits on the edge of the oasis, meaning fresh water is always within reach. It spans over 100 acres of land and is built with high walls to keep the Senshi of Altais within its walls.

World: Altais is a large star located in the Draconis system. While it is located there, Altais has no ties with the Senshi of Draconis at all. The star is bright and found on the farther reaches of the constellation, but is also a great passing by in space for the space travellers. There is only one known water source, which is an Oasis on the northern hemisphere of the star. The rest is thick sand dunes and heat. Further west, there is a dry land of hardened sand that can be dug into and mined for ore. It is hard to get but makes it very rare and valuable trade.

Because most of the land is sand, PLants are very hard to raise and so they rely heavily on trade with other stars/moons for food. Hardier crops that can be grown with tough dirt have been used but mostly all good are traded in. Livestock is limited to Earth animals that do well in deserts. Emu's, Camels, Goats and Rams are the only livestock that survive such hardships.

The world before: Altais was once a proud kingdom, before the planet went through a strange weather phenomen that took out most civilization and limited life to one single water source. Since then, Altasians have looked out to space for survival and making connections with the sol system and further for resources.

However, Because of the nature of their Senshi's sphere, Altais the senshi was limited to the royal family and protected within the city walls. Since shockwaves is very powerful and coveted among the war, Altais was raised in the castle with no knowledge of the outside world.

Fauna/Fruit/Plants: Cacti, hardy greens, Ferns/Trees/Flowers are found only closer to the water source.

Animals:
Earth traded Camels, Goats, Rams and Emu's. Lizards have been seen in the deserts, varying from smaller then the hand to as large as a starcraft carrier ship. As most lizards prefer to keep to themselves, they have homes dug into sand walls away from Fal'Talis.

Various water life: There is some fisherys broken off from the oasis, but nothing larger then tuna's and salmon's.

Government: Monarchy. It is ruled by the Royal family and advisers. They are mainly figure heads. The rest of the city is free trade with other planets.

Economy: Altais is a trade and barter economy. They specialize in bartering trades, as well as setting up others between planets.

Culture: Altais the Senshi is limited in interactions, due to conflicting Royal affairs. They do not revere the senshi, nor do they build a rapport with him. Culture is too jumbled with other stars/moons to be considered anything.

Fashion: Altais takes from many places. If there was something to be said, that Altasians all have arabic/Middle eastern style clothing. Very light and meant to protect against sand.

Sailor Altais: Altais, in the terms of the kingdom, is a mystery. The sphere that he draws magic from has been said to be super destructive and as such, royal families of the past had taken any sailors and kept them trapped/shielded in their castles. Altais is not allowed contact besides the royal families of other stars.

Altais and the Moon Kingdom: Altais has no alliance to the moon kingdom.

Antares: Decorative Glass, Gold, and Gems
Sadachbia: Architects, Construction Workers, Immigration, ???

Exports:
Ubasti: Feathered Horses
Antares: Crafts and Llamahead Camels
Sadachbia: Immigration, ???

The Etamin Position:
The Protector of Etamin position; while the planet was still living, was Head Librarian of the Library of Etamin. Sailor Etamin was also trained in Etamazu from childhood, and was also the leader of the Librarian Guild.

Notable Locations:

The Library of Etamin
During the Silver Millennium, the fame of Library of Etamin was one of great wonder, Scholars from all over the galaxy came to study there in peace, and to come and go as they pleased. Many of the scrolls and books (mostly scrolls), were in hieroglyphs and hieroglyphics. There were also various treasures of the galaxy and valuable works of art.

Pharaoh's Palace
Pharoah, the leader of the planet, lived at this palace, built of shining alabaster stone – the history of the planet painted in hieroglyphics, on its' walls. Some said there were rooms long forgotten to time itself, with stories on the walls that would scare the Etamites – or else change everything they've ever known to be true.

People:
The people were tall, with clear complexions, black hair, and skin tones that range from Middle Eastern to North African. Eyes were dark brown to black. The word for people of Etamin was Etamites,, however, the adjective was Etaminian, as in 'Etaminian' Art.

Pharaoh – the leader of the Etamites, can be man or woman, the throne was passed down from parent to eldest child., however all children of the royal family were trained to rule, in case of tragedy.
Sailor Etamin – Senshi Protector of the Planet, Head Librarian, Leader of the Librarian Guild, Member of the Planetary Counsel. This power was reincarnated by the will of the power itself to any random newborn it chose, upon the last incarnation's death. No mortal could interfere with that.
Planetary Counsel – A counsel made up of the Guild leaders, including Sailor Etamin, to advise the Pharaoh.

Society:
Society was built with Farmers, Merchants, Artisans, Warriors and a special group of Warriors – the Librarians. There was a really lax class system: at the bottom, were the regular people, next were the Guild Leaders. Just above them was the Special Guild Leader; Sailor Etamin – those made the Planetary Counsel. Finally, there was the Royal Family, which at the top was the Pharaoh. All people though were encouraged to study and read as much as possible. Men and Women were equal. However much the Pharaoh wanted his people to live what ever life they chose, it was Etaminian law that in a Etamite's strongest skill, lay his or her career and thus they survived. The Pharaoh led Etamin, with the planetary Senshi and the planetary counsel as advisers.

Artisans Guild – The Artisans of Etamin were very skilled with gold, silver, and precious gems, as well as other pieces of artistry. They also made pottery, chariots and just about every other art except for Architecture, which they lacked the skill for. Etaminian Art was bright and colorful, using a lot of bright colors, as well as white, black and gold. Artisans also created items for everyday life.
Farmers Guild – Farmers were chosen for their skill in growing plants and/taking care of animals. Farmers' duties could be anything from growing the plant, raising meat and/or dairy portion of the Etaminian diet, to training animals for any part of the Etaminian lifestyle – such as Feathered Horses to draw chariots, to medical expertise. Farmers did anything having to do with living organisms.
Merchants Guild – Merchants received goods from the imports and divided them evenly among the Etamites. They also received all of the goods from the Farmers Guild and the Artisans Guild. They then redistributed what was needed to the people, as well some extra, and then sent the rest up the chain for exports.
Warriors Guild – Warriors were picked out in their early teens for good fitness, and trained in the fighting forms of Etamazu. Mainly a form of Self-defense, this was also used to protect Etamin. The Warriors Guild was also used as law enforcement.
Librarian Guild – The Librarian Guild was a special guild, within the Warrior Guild, that was comprised of top warriors that protected the Library of Etamin. Not only physically fit, they studied at the Library for years, as well as being the caretakers of it. Sailor Etamin was, as the Head Librarian, the leader of the Librarian Guild.
Nomads – These Etamites wandered the desert to find needed things like precious gems for the guilds to work with.

Architecture:
Most of Etamin's special buildings were Pyramids, Sphinxes, and the like. Other important buildings were made from alabaster and other important stones.

Transportation:
Those with need for importance (a message from the Pharaoh for ex.) or speed, and fewer people, as well as less cargo would take a Feathered Horse Drawn Chariot. Someone with a Feathered Horse or two, that had fewer people and less cargo, would take just the Feathered Horse(s). Otherwise they would take a Feathered Horse Drawn wagon or cart.

Animals:

Feathered Horses – The Feathered Horses could once fly, but their wings had slowly diminished over time, leaving only their feathers. Feathered Horses were pretty much used as horses were in Egypt – except that they were prettier to look at.

Llamahead Camels – Camels with Llama-heads (like it says). These however, could spit further, nastier and meaner, but could travel further and last longer.

Land:
Most of the planet was a great desert. There was a minor river called the Kafile. The Kafile ran a mile from its' spring. At its' spring was a small, lush oasis, where Oasis City lies. It was the only city on the planet, and most of the Etamites lived there. A few, daring nomad tribes roamed the desert in search of stuff for the Guilds to work with, such as precious gems. Also there were several big chunks missing from the planet, where there was no life within the craters- it was said that once they were not missing, but they were removed by some dark force, many millennia ago. It was said that the chunks were now worlds with their own cultures way out there somewhere with their own Planetary Senshi's. It was also said, that they are on peaceful terms with the Government of Etamin.

THRYMR

      Plural/Possessive: Thrymians

Main Exports: Spices, flowers, fruit, dyes (made from flowers and other fauna)

Main Imports: Arts, literature, musical instruments, glass, and vegetables, as well as a few creatures that are meant for conservation or observational purpose only, as Thrymians do not eat meat.

      Inspirations: Pacific islands, beaches

World: While Thrymr is not a large moon, it is a flourishing one. It is a colorful, vibrant place full of massive quantities of lush, rich flora and fauna, as well as water. One of the most distinguishing characteristics of Thrymr are the beaches that line most of the planet. They are numerous and beautiful, surrounded by lush growth and bright, colorful flowers in various arrays of oranges, yellows, pinks, and purples - the main colors of Thrymr - as well as scattered blues and greens. The waters are cool to the touch in most places, keeping a steady temperature that isn't too cold and borders on warm near the shorelines. Sands are white and soft and cover the majority of Thrymr, though these lead into grasslands where the homes and buildings are kept.

Economy: Thrymr is a trade and barter economy.

Culture: The people of Thrymr are a prosperous and generous population known for their welcoming, friendly atmosphere and the lack of conflict. Kindness breeds kindness, and they are very focused on the concept of giving, not taking. Thrymians are also well-known for their loyalty and their support to the other Moons of Saturn.

Fashion: Clothing on Thrymr are designed to be loose and comfortable, with lots of colorful fabrics and prints, and most have a tendency towards layers.

Sailor Thrymr: Thrymr's deep set love and adoration for the people of their planet - and for the people of other planets - is one of their most defining characteristics. They are extraordinarily kind and will go to great lengths to make sure that the people of their home are taken care of; though, unlike current Thrymr, they tries not to sacrifice they own well-being and health unless truly necessary.

A generous person with a big heart, Thrymr loves easily, but keeps themselves away from forming too many deep relationships just on principle and because they worry that too many in their heart would wind up being hurt in the end. There are definite exceptions to this, and those that Thrymr does let close to them are absolutely precious.

Thrymr and the Moon Kingdom: Thrymr has no alliance to the Moon Kingdom.

Pasithee

Crafts:
Perfume
Ointments

The Senshi-Priest: Sailor Pasithee has the position of High Priest of the Water Goddess. Water is the gateway between life and death, and thus Sailor Pasithee stands at the gateway trapped. S/he cannot go to paradise, but must be reborn again and again to save his/her people. In the meantime, s/he does priestly things. S/he counsels, helps others move on through phases of life, even unto death itself, where s/he cannot travel him/herself, as s/he is immediately reborn in another. S/he does religious ceremonies. S/he fights those who wish to destroy Pasithee.

Land: There is very little land on Pasithee, as it is a world of rivers, and waters. The main river is the Kafile. The little land there is, is considered Sacred, and none but Priests, the Pharaoh, and the Senshi are allowed upon it and only when doing the specific Sacred Duties that come with their special positions.

Water (the Kafile and other rivers): Most rivers connect to the Kafile in someway. The Kafile is the largest river on Pasithee. The people live off the water, living their lives in houseboats. The boats are usually made of river reeds, or rarely wood and reeds – boats mainly made of wood and reeds were usually brightly painted with hieroglyphs and hieroglyphics, however these were rare due to wood being a land based product and thus such boats were Sacred as well, although the population were allowed to come aboard during the day. These boats were Templeboats (as well homes to the Temple Priests), the Palaceship, home of the Pharaoh, as well as home of the Senshi.

Birth Rituals: Families gather, along with a Midwife-Priest, on boats and a Templeship in shallow water. The woman giving birth, her closest friends, and the Priest gather in the water and the birth takes place in the water. A Blue Lotus is given for the child to care for all their life (the family cares for it until the child is old enough). “From Water we are given to the world.”

Diet: Fish, Seafood, and River Plants. “Water gives us life.”

Death Rituals: When a person dies, a special, but simple reed boat with a small shelter is built. The body is placed within the shelter. There is a memorial service with a Priest, where the boat is lit on fire and then pushed off into the Waters of the Wild. The person's Blue Lotus is 'Released' to the Waters of the Wild to wander freely all of it's days, this is considered the soul is wandering which is their form of paradise. Only one soul is forbidden to be 'Released' (a fate not even forced upon the worst of criminals), the soul of the of Senshi must return to the World of the Living Waters again, again and again to make sure that the people of Pasithee are safe. “In death, we return to Water.”

Religon: The Water Goddess is the Creator, the Land is her rest. “Water is Life.”

The Priestly Code: “From Water we are given to the world. Water gives us life. In death, we return to Water. Water is Life. Water is All.”

The Waters of the Wild: These waters are considered dangerous, if not somewhat adventurous. However, most chose not to travel them, until they are Released. They are said to be the greatest Paradise of adventure.

Moon ~ Ananke

Ananke is a subterranean world mainly because the world was once the biosphere of a ship that was said to have come from another galaxy. It had the parts of the original planet so it was more like a comet. Which is why it’s a one town moon with a population never exceeding 500.

Plural/Possessive: Anankian

Imports

Exports

The World
User Image

The underground city Ananke is a place that might seem a bit dark to people visiting but it’s considered well-lit to the people living there. The city is split into five rings/districts which split up the city for easy access. Food and necessities are actually grown on the roofs of people’s houses and on the exterior walls that are plants that have been bred to grow with little light. There are only animals that require small amount of care on Ananke and the insects are robotic.

Center/First ring
User Image
Ananke Castle- Is where the EMP.RES system is in function. It stands for Emphatic Resonate which is, in short, the magical power system that Ananke runs on. It's powered by the strong emotions of their residence. The management AI who runs it is said to have been modeled after the memories of the previous Sailor Ananke. Not only basically a power plant but also the archives and conference building.

Second Ring
User Image
Recreational Park- An artificial park mostly there to boost the aesthetics of the Castle but one can spend their leisure time here as there are benches provided.

Third Ring
User Image
Market- For residential needs aka food, water, anything else that is needed for their comfort is distributed among the residents. There is a credit system in place for luxury items like certain imported items. For visitors, they will accept the trade for other items or any currency that is recognizable in the solar system.

Fourth Ring
User Image
Residential- Their homes are not just the places they live in but a lot of residents also work at their homes because they grow their food on their homes. But besides growing plants, another job done in their homes is silkglow raising in which they get silk to make their clothes.

Fifth Ring
User Image
Administrator Towers- The six towers that reside on the outermost edge of the city.

Arte_delegate.admin- The Tower that holds the clan of Arte's administrator. It's said that she also holds the Sailor Crystal of Ananke and thus has been given the role of the delegate. She deals with any internal conflicts as well as representing Ananke to other planetoids.

People
Ananke the people seem to come in all shape and sizes but a common feature among them seems to be that they will usually have no less than two different colors in their hair. Other than that there are three classifications of people who live on Ananke.

Progenitors- The ones who originally traveled to this solar system. Since they live so long at least 90% are progenitors.

Designer Child- Since space is an issue on Ananke it is prohibited from having children of their own. So there is a waiting list for a child who is grown in an artificial womb. Worried also about gene issues DNA is usually selected at random so the designer child is unlikely to share DNA with the family it’s given to.

Administrators- The first six designer children ever created but they had a different creative process and roles to play. The main strand of DNA that was used in their creation was the previous Sailor Ananke. Admins where also 'born' at the appearance of 10 years old and eventually stop aging at 18. This is said to keep their emotional output to high levels since admins appear to be giving 50% of the power to the EMP.RES system. Admins have an unnatural glow to their eyes.

User Image

Flora/Fauna

User Image
Sparkling Silkglows- Giant silkworms that produce interesting silk. Sometimes it sparkles and sometimes it glows, it really depends on what they're diet is. They produce silk in a sort of spiderweb sort of way so the silk can be harvested without harming the creature. It seems that the color of the silk also changes if it eats the same color food for a period of time. Sometimes occasionally people will cut off its tail of the silkworm to eat as it seems to regenerate its tail.

User Image
Robotic Butterflies/Hummingbirds- Since insects don't seem to last long on Ananke they developed their own robotic creatures to pollinate the plants.

User Image
Soff- Blue to purple apple-like fruit that the Anankians use to make jams, juice, and preserves.

User Image

Moon - Bestla

Overview
The moon of Bestla, though small, is filled with life. Home to a handful of people who live in a perpetual twilight gloom, the moon is treated as an odd, but pleasing, combination of woodland temple and nature preserve. And within the gloom, tiny lights dance and cavort.

World Information
World in Twilight. Bestla is a small forest-covered moon. Due to the abundance of trees as well as it's placement in regards to the Sun, the moon lives in twilight haze. This, combined with the temperate climate, leaves the moon wreathed in a soft, perpetual fog broken only by the bio-luminescence developed by so many of the native species.

Notable Flora and Fauna
The Lord of the Wild. As far as the Bestlans have been able to ascertain, there is only one living specimen of this great dragon living. Revered as their god, the Lord is a gentle beast. Standing at a height of about 14 feet, the Lord seems to be an amalgamation of creatures: head and antlers of a King Stag, thickly muscled humanoid torso with four equally muscled arms ending in clawed hands and the lower body of a great, smooth snake with the lions of a lion. Additionally, the Lord's hide was capable of growing or budding with thin, feather like branches tipped by tiny, glowing nodules. Legend holds that the Lord is fully capable of human like speech. But only ever in the presence of the moon's senshi.

Peeplings. A quick and easy moniker much like the Terran 'bird' or 'fish' to group together a wildly varying species. Peeplings are a lizard-like creature with two sets of gossamer wings and long tail with spade-shaped tips. The most common peeplings on Bestla resemble Terran geckos and have bodies about the length of a grown man's middle finger. The tail tip of every peepling is able to glow and flash, much like a firefly. They can come in a wild variety of colors and have the potential for parrot-like intelligence. Peeplings are also treated much like pets and made much of by their owners. In return, said owners gain adorable, loving pets. It is said that Bestla's own senshi is a wildly enthusiastic fan of the Peeplings as a species.

G'mork. Living deep within Bestla's forests, the G'mork are a feared, though respected predator. Resembling exceedingly large wolves, the G'mork all have a pelt of thick, shaggy fur, long, sharp fangs, claws and glowing, blue-green eyes. Unlike most of the creatures on Bestla, the G'mork don't display much color. Their fur, while highly prized, is always a deep black with only the tiniest hints of blue and purple deep within.

Dasha Pear. The most prominent and well known tree on Bestla. Dasha Pears can grow to mammoth sizes and have branches and leaves that faintly resemble a weeping willow. The wood itself is prized for its hardiness and is carved into furniture, decorations, used for the building of homes, etc. Even the leaves, when treated properly, have some value as decorations for the home or body. However, the tree is most valued for the pear like fruit that it bears. Juicy, sweet and beautiful to look at, the pear gives off a faint, pearly glow while still on the tree. The Dasha Pear's fruit can be harvested to use as food, juice, spirits and even medicine. Additionally, the seeds look like tiny crystals and will sometimes be traded if the offer is good enough.

Fairy Fungi. Much like the term Peepling, Fairy Fungi is used to describe a wide array of mushrooms on Bestla. The one thing each type of mushroom have in common is that each and every one glows. The Fairy Fungi are used for food, medicine and occasional mind altering experiences. Fairy Fungi can make a home on almost any surface and are carefully cultivated.

Key Locations.
Sacred Grove. The Grove is considered to be Bestla's one truly sacred place. It is said that this is where the Lord of the Wild first appeared and blessed the moon's first senshi. As such, only Bestla's senshi may enter the grove. However, the edges of the Grove are tended to and treated as a place where anyone may come to sit quietly and meditate. The Grove's Edge is also where the senshi would preside over weddings, funerals and other spiritual rituals.

Culture Information
People. Known as Bestlans, natives of the moon are typically quiet, hard-working and spiritual people. With an intentionally small population, Bestlan children are often placed into arranged relationships to make sure that the bloodlines are strengthened. However, if there is no love match or child produced, the arrangement ends after one year.

Bestlans typically come in all the sizes and colors as the people of Earth. However, due to the perpetual gloom, Bestlans are very pale. They also love nothing more than to paint themselves with the myriad of luminescent paint that they create from some of the fairy fungi.

Society. The senshi is seen as both ruler and spiritual guide for the people on Bestla. It is she who creates new laws and punishes anyone who breaks said laws. Society is, for the most part, very agrarian based. The people farm, they hunt and they do their absolute best to not disrupt the balance of nature. It's not the easiest life, but the Bestlans seem content.

Economy. Barter and trade!
Primary Exports. Peeplings from a line known to interact well with people, G'mork pelts (occasionally), Dasha Pear wood, fruit, spirits, medicine, leaf jewelry, paints and medicines made from Fairy Fungi
Primary Imports. Livestock/Herdbeasts, Produce, Dairy, Fabric, Metals, Tools, Gemstones

Politics. Due to such a small population, the senshi is seen as the only authority figure needed. As such, there is very little politicking.

Recreation. While not a hub of entertainment, Bestla does offer a soothing experience for those who enjoy quiet nature study. Additionally, there are seasonal faires.

Nereid - Moon

User ImagePlural/Possessive: Nereides
Main Exports: Purified Water, Alcohol, Flour, Grains, Fish, Exotic sea life, Fruits, Herbal remedies
Main Imports: Meats, Domestic animals, Silks, Fabrics
Industries: Grains, Turbines, Electricity, Alcohol
Inspirations: Waterfalls, Japanese Shrines (FFXIV)

User ImageCapital City: Shrine of the Falling Water God: This city boast the largest population of citizens, and caters to most of the world's needs for trade. Most smaller cities come out to the city to trade their goods for resources or to make money. Large celebrations for the royal families are also held here, as well as some festivals. It is a easy to travel city as most of the buildings are stacked on each other much like traditional Japanese shrines. The city boast the largest work force of business men, writers, artist and other things.

User ImageCastle: Shrine of the Falling Water Goddess: This city is almost a quarter the size of Falling God and caters to more religious sort of temples as well as the large Shrine castle. The Shrine castle was built to honor the god and goddess of the waterfalls, and to the strength that comes from purifying and strengthing will and body under waterfalls. The castle offers specific trainings as well in martial arts if a Nereides wished to pursue that lifestyle. It is managed and run by monks and nuns that have dedicated their life to the God and Goddess respectively. Both Monks and Nuns work together and are not religious separated by their gods.

The city holds many of the religious festivals, and is home to the temple of Nereid as well, where Senshi come to awaken their powers and can engrave their names into the temple. Senshi are not required to live in the temple but most choose too because it offers a roomy lofty home.

User ImageWorld: Nereid is a bountiful planet of water, consisting of more then 89% water and 11% Landmass. It boast a home to many different types of fresh water life, most that have adapted to the ever pouring water falls. It is not uncommon to see flying fish, or whales that make the falls their home.

As for the Land masses, the are mostly inlets and coves that house special domes that protect against the pounding of larger falls. Inside the domes, of various sizes are Fauna and land animals as well as small villages.

At the current moment, the largest dome to have been created is the Shrine of the Falling God, and houses 90% of the population. It is situated in a large cove of waterfalls and boast the most productive turbines. Every building has electricity and fresh water. Nereid is a progressive technology planet as the domes are provided with technology from Mauvians that came way before.

The second largest city is the Shrine of the Falling Goddess which is located 300 miles from the Capital and houses the traditional more simple means of city life. Around Falling Goddess are smaller dome villages as well as some villages that survive on just pure land mass alone. Falling Goddess shrine is not a domed city as well! Falling Goddess is surrounded by much weaker falls then Falling God, and most of the falls are where many Nereides citizens go to purify and strength their soul and minds.

The world before: .

Fauna/Fruit/Plants: Of what land that can grow that is not domed, Fauna's including grass, ferns and large weeping willow kind of trees. They also have many different kinds of fruit that were imported and grown for food sources, as well as many farms that are dedicated to herbal plants (like lavender, or sage) and use them for their purification.

Nereid's boast large grain farms of various kinds though, and often use waterfall powered turbines to make Flours and Alcohol.

Animals: Land based animals are limited to some pet like creatures and smaller animals. Birds are very rare and hardly seen in the more populated areas.

Bugs as well are extremely limited and what bugs they do have are generally well taken care of since they promote a healthy crop life. There is some farms dedicated to the raising of animals like Bee's and dragonflies and such to keep a healthy amount for crops.

There is no real land based predators, as most have adapted to run a sea life.

Various Sea life: Nereid boast a home to rare and exotic fish life, as well as a complicated Water ecosystem due to the sheer amount of waterfalls that are present. The water on Nereid is extremely pure and coveted by other planets for being healthy, or even having healing properties.

The most resourced fish is something similar to a earth Trout, as they breed in alarming rates. There is also Salmon and Carps.

As far as bigger animals, there is whales that sometimes are as big as a small dome city, or Dolphins.

Predators can include Sharks, Whales, Killer Whales, Dolphins, Jellyfish and Octopuses though these creatures are usually seen in the deeper waters of Nereid and not near the waterfalls where civilizations are built.

Some sea animals are used for transportation, such as large seahorses, some domesticated dolphins and whales. It is not recommended though for whales to be used often and are limited to the much large ocean explorations.

Government: . Nereid has a very loose Monarchy.

Economy: .The economy is a really heavy barter and trade sort of economy. There is a currency but because the planet does not have a large population they prefer a trade of skills for goods, or goods for goods. If there is a problem with a transaction, there is currency offices set up that will settle disputes.

Culture: Nereid's culture was a really diverse culture. While the planet was originally a very religious planet that specifically worshiped a God and Goddess of Falls, they have moved from such confining views. Religion, while still heavy in the history and structure is a welcome choice now, and offered at the discretion of any of the citizens. Religion, as well, does not play a factor in any government made decisions and falls under the rule of the planet.

Most that train in martial arts go through the training of worship, and most that specializes in that tend to have a very strong sense of mind and justice. Most every citizen do think of their waterfalls as holy and treasured and will make offerings but again, it is not required.

As far as citizens that choose to live more modest lifestyles, work varies from farming to office workers to artistry. There is not a trade that is not in need for Nereid and everyone is encouraged to pursue the path they feel the strongest for. Government does not limit such paths, but offer resources to the best of their abilities. Since Nereid is a very loose Monarchy, the role of Royalty is to remain and handle political affairs outside of Nereid. Mostly their jobs revolve around ensuring that imports and exports are kept well maintained as well as keeping some allied planets. Technically, since the marriage of a high ranking knight and the princess of Nereid, Nereid's royal family relies on the aid of Neptune and considered themselves more of a royal Provence under Neptune.

Fashion: Fashion is mostly dedicated to traditional Japanese garbs with fantasy twist. There is a high demand for kimono's, yukatas and other items of that nature. Designs of clothing can also vary and sometimes would take appearance to traditional Korean outfits as well. (I'm talking like some fantasy Asian elements here to be honest, The outfits can really differ between person.)

Sailor Nereid: In the current generation, Nereid is a lean well toned Male Senshi. He is a steadfast, while still cheerful sort of character and does his best to help his planet out. Senshi are not considered royalty on the planet and are free to choose how to live their life. The current incarnation would consider himself a spiritual senshi, who chose a life similar to a wandering samurai of his planet.

Current Nereid is not a well traveled Nereid either, and prefers his planet to most as it is a comfortable life. He is welcome to meeting others though and wouldn't mind a trip or two, just not many more then that.

Nereid and the Moon Kingdom:

Nereid's ties with the moon kingdom are bit limited in the sense that his biggest alliance at the moment is Neptune. Because Neptune is the closest and largest planet, his own tends to call them the mother planet. Many of the citizens of Nereid, if they chose martial arts and wished too, could leave the planet and becoming knights of Neptune. While Nereides didn't boast highly artistic knights, those that did join offered good boons and didn't mind learning arts from the planet.

As far as the white moon kingdom though, Nereid didn't really have any political ties. Queen Serenity was more of a strong figure but not someone the Nereides felt they need to answer too.

[ Lunaria - Asteroid ]

[Canon Past Life Relationships]

Plural/Possessive: Lunarians
Main Exports: Silver Flowers, Lunaria Flowers, Silver coins
Main Imports: Everything else
Industries: None
Inspirations: Floral Gothic Castles
User ImageCapital City: Lunaria only has one city in the whole planet. The city is not really a city but more of a really large mansion with outlying buildings that have long been abandoned and overgrown with Lunaria flowers and foliage.

The mansion once upon was called the Lunaria Skies Castle..

Castle: Lunaria Skies Castle

World: Lunaria is a overgrown abandoned planet as it was once upon a time a very thriving planet. Eventually Lunarians migrated away from the planet besides a very few, and then eventually those Lunarians moved away from the planet as well, only leaving the senshi to care for it.

The world before:

The world before the current Lunaria use to be an exciting happy place to come too. Their buildings were built to be strong and sturdy but beautiful as were their people.

Music and arts were the common practice among Lunarian's as well as farming. They use to specialize in dyes as well of different rich purple and silver hues, and their silver coin flowers were highly coveted for decorations among other planets. As the universe grew though, Lunarians felt discontent with their simple life and with the introduction of space travelling and immigration to bigger more well populated planets, the small city eventually emptied out.

In response to that, usually a couple would come back to the planet and birth a child. That child, who was usually the only child born on Lunaria would inherit the senshi powers. After the child is born, the parents would take care of it until they were about 10 years old and then either stay with the child, or would leave and continue their life outside of the planet. Until recently, there was also workers or people that would take care of the castle with the senshi and continue their studies as well, but the last generation and this generation were left at a young age.

Fauna/Fruit/Plants: Lunaria is the most prominent fauna, as it covers pretty much the whole planet. There is different kinds of trees and ferns as well. Mostly the planet is one giant garden. There is various small rivers and pools of water spread around the planet as well. (It's not a large planet, probably the size of the state of Rhode Island)

Animals: There is various deer life, some bird life, small rodents and bugs. Mostly the planet caters to very small ecosystem. (Think like a woodsy forest)

The biggest animal is the Silver wolf species which used to be domesticated hunters until the planet declined in population. Now they are a free roaming creature. They have silver to white fur and are known to travel much like a regular wolf pack.

Lunaria herself has a small pack that comes to visit her. She also has small herd of deer that is raised in the castle. Stags are the main way of transportation around the planet for Lunaria and she has a large buck named Gust.

Deer are also silver to lavender colored to blend in better with the outlying fauna.

User ImageVarious Sea life: There is no sea's in Lunaria so fish life is limited to the rivers. There is various different fresh water animals, Frogs and such.

Government: .There is no government on Lunaria

Economy: .Lunaria relies on the trading of the rare silver coins of her flowers as well as any treasures she can scavenge from old ruins from the civilization of her past. To be honest, Sedna is her main way of receiving goods, and she's lucky the senshi takes care to ship goods for her.

As such, if people came to her planet, they were allowed to hunt the deer and smaller animals if they required.

Culture: Once upon a time, the culture of Lunaria was very welcoming and warm. There was many festivals and they held a lot of things for outlying planets. It was a very small community so everyone was tight and close. As people migrated out though, finding better lives on different planets, Lunaria declined.

Now the senshi is the only one who remains.

Fashion: Most of Lunaria's clothes come from Sedna, but think old school french/dutch attire. Now its close to a more lacy gothic style.

Sailor Lunaria: The past 3 generations of Lunaria were the first three to see the planet start to decline in population until eventually the latest senshi, born 18 years ago. The prior senshi had lived with both their parents as well as a handful in the mansion but this generation only has Doe. Her parents, a diluted line from a far past senshi, came back to the planet at the steady call of the dying senshi and birthed the only resident on Lunaria.

As such, since Doe is the last birthed Lunarian, she inherited the senshi starseed. Her parents as well raised her until she was 10 and established a good trade system with Sedna before leaving her on the planet and returning to their home off planet. Because of that, Doe also does not have workers or people that run her home like in the past. She does most of the cleaning and chores herself, and maintains electricity and running water thanks to Mauvian technology placed before hand.

Doe is not limited in knowledge though, as she has a large library of books from other worlds, and was taught to read and write by her parents before they left.

User ImageDescription:

Name: Doe (she calls herself Doe)
Nickname: N/A
Age: 18 years old (This incarnation)
Skin tone: █████
Clothing: [HERE]
Hair Color: █████
Hairstyle:[HERE]
Eye Color: █████
Height: 5'5
Weight: 125lbs
Body type: Petite and small
Other: Lazy and Smiley still, for being the only resident of Lunaria.

Lunaria and the Moon Kingdom:

Lunaria's ties with the Moon Kingdom used to run very deep as the silver coined flowers would provide a good decoration for the Moon. Eventually though, the Moon kingdom grew and grew and Lunaria started to spread its population among its other planets.

The Senshi of Lunaria would still consider the planet under the care of the white moon, even if she was the only resident on the planet.

Leaena

Biology: When a Leaenan is born, a Cheetah is also born. They are of the same gender and proportional stats and share a mental link. These are called Bonds. They are a form of symbiotic life. A Leaenan’s Mother’s Bond is the Mother of that specific Leaenan’s Bond, and so forth – all family relations match up. If either Leaenan or Cheetah die, so will their Bond. If they don’t, madness could occur, and the living Bond is mercifully put to death. Female Leaenans are larger and stronger than males.

Grammar: A person from Leaena is a Leaenan. To describe something as being a part of the culture of Leaena, one would use the word, Leaenarian. To speak of someone whose gender you do not know, the correct pronoun is ‘She’. ‘She’ is often capitalized and ‘he’ is never capitalized, unless at the beginning of a sentence.

Culture: Leaenarian Culture is highly Female dominant, from the Pharaohess and the Cheetahess who lead the world, to the Matriarchs who lead all family Households. When Young Adult Women and their Bonds mature, they journey out into the world on their own until they create their own Household. Meanwhile, when young adult men and their Bonds mature, they journey out into the world in groups of young men and Bonds. Bonds are allowed everywhere in society as they are pretty much as intelligent as their Leaenan Human and share a mental link with them. Whatever role a Leaenan has in society, their Bond shares that role – for instance – the Pharaohess’ Bond is the Cheetahess – the ruling Cheetah. The Matriach of a Household will share that role with her Bond.

Government: Leaena is ruled by the Pharaohess, a Female Pharaoh and her Bond the Cheetahess, the Female Cheetah Pharoah. As their Warriors Prime; Sailor Leaena and Bond, Cheetah Leaena lead the military advise the Pharaohess and Cheetahess.

Sailor Leaena and Cheetah Leaena: As Warriors Prime, these too lead the military. If Sailor Leaena and Cheetah Leaena are Female, then all is well and good, and they fight alone. As males, they are considered too weak alone, and therefore fight alongside their brothers and their Bonds. Their brothers will wear similar uniforms to that of Sailor Leaena to denote their post. Also, when Sailor Leaena and Cheetah Leaena are male, the government believes the world of Leaena to be in a state of danger.

Land: Mainly Savannah. There is a large river called the Kafile that runs through. Villages throughout. The Great City of Wishidar is the capital city. Much like any Egyptian City of the past.

Clothing: Egyptian type.

Exports: Gems, Metals, Wild Meats

Imports: Feathered Horses from Etamin, Farm Foods, White and Black Linen
