"What are you doing here, Charles." She interrupted him. Those dark chocolate brown eyes turning to look at him, " What could you possibly say to me now. Here in the cellar, just feet below where the very party for your wedding is taking place."
It was definitely clear she was hurting. However Luna was a very strong woman and rather full of pride. She was never one to break down before some.
"You are right. The time we spent together, was wonderful. Amazing even. For the first time in a long time I felt happy with someone, felt happy with the direction my life was heading..." Her eyes gazed deeply into his, her heart and desire for him poured out of those dark chocolate pools. How she didn't want their budding relationship to end so tragically. How she wanted dearly to continue seeing him.
She bit her lower lip as she mentally scolded herself for such thoughts. She could not do such a thing with a now married man, even if she had met him first, even if this marriage wasn't about love...
Then again...
No. No I cannot think like that.
It's wrong.
The burning flames of desire for him seemed to roar a moment before being swallowed by another type of flame; anger and frustration.
"Just go. Go before I do something I'll regret later."
