It's funny you bring up the topic of food because a little over a year ago, my boyfriend (Talchazzar as you might remember) went to school and became a chef. After drifting around for the longest time on not having any kind of goal, I finally decided I'd like to pursue becoming a private chef. I still have a ways to go but it's miles from my unambitious self from a year ago.
I'm working on a food blog that will mostly do reviews of food I purchase and done on a grading scale as well as images of food the two of us have made, I'll post a link when it has more content. We tend to host dinner parties for friends every two weeks. With thanksgiving this week but everyone busy with family, we'll be hosting one after.
I'm hammering out a menu but so far I plan on making:
hors d'oeuvres: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/michael-chiarello/mozzarella-stuffed-portobellos-recipe/index.html
Side dishes: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/foodnation-with-bobby-flay/sweet-potato-souffle-recipe/index.html
A brussel sprouts dish smothered in cheese, a family recipe... It tastes so good, you forget it's even brussel sprouts.
Dessert: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/pumpkin-chiffon-pie-recipe/index.html
The stuffing and turkey are being left up to Tal but I believe he plans on purchasing two smaller birds to make they are still moist.
