Everything went so fast as all she remember was the pain, the screams, and the smell of blood. She walked in the land of the dead feeling like she was walking for miles until she felt like she was slammed into something. Keira forced her eyes to open as her once honey brown eyes turned into a light blue eyes as she looked into Orin eyes. "Ouch." She said as she slowly sat up. "This is not good. We lost all our men. Well looks like its up to us but man that hurt." Keira pulled out a handkerchief and wiped the blood from the side of Orin head.

"Thanks," he said, "The Ancients attacked us. They were battling with an army of werewolves." He helped her to her feet and looked around; there were no living horses for them to ride. They'd have to continue on foot.

"We have no army," he said, turning to her, "We need to rescue John. We have no choice; we must go to the werewolves and beg their help in the rescue. The enemy of my enemy is my friend," Orin quoted.

"What say you, Lady Keira?"

Keira smiled as Orin helped her to her feet. She looked around as she noticed the horses blood spilled into the river they used to rest. She sighed as she realized that indeed they had to travel on foot on the path they have chosen to save her beloved John. "We have no choice in the matter but to seek them out and ask for their help. Shall we go, for I am afraid the Ancient Ones might come back to finish their job." Keira looked around as she shook her head seeing that all their comrades, friends, and allies slain on the ground. Keira wished she could at least gave them the proper burial they needed but the time was sleeping away and the more Keira feared her husband might be dead as soon as they reached the placed that he was being held.

Orin understood her concern about the Ancients. For the time being, they were fighting the werewolves, but how long would that last? And once it was over? They bore the emblems and armor of the Southern Isles. Doubtless, the Ancients would know their identities and would stop at nothing to kill them. "You're right," he said, surprised how much more fond of her he was after such a harrowing event. He supposed when you and another cheat death together, you become closer comrades.

"We'd better hurry. There's no telling how long John will last under their torture." He scanned the path for the exact direction the warriors and wolves had come from; it wasn't hard - their boots made deep, distinct impressions in the muddy forest floor. Plus, the bodies that littered the scene were a definite indicator. He motioned for her to follow the trail with him, saying a silent prayer for the ancestors to lead their fallen friends to peace.

Keira nodded as they walked the path that would lead them to the werewolves. "Perhaps we can use this to our advantage. The Ancients must believe we are dead. So if we are lucky we can surprised them as dressing a little bit different and mask our scent with the werewolves if they agree to help us. Of course we have to look past from them killing us." Keira felt more at ease with Orin more than usual as she felt that their bond was getting strong. "What's your input on the matter Lord Orin? You think it will work."
