Name:Juliet Tiblon
Age:24
Magic Affinity: Healing - enables Juliet to channel positive energy to wipe away injury and afflictions. It does not immediately end but will take the course of an hour or two for any of the following adverse conditions affecting the Target: blinded, confused, dazed, deafened, diseased, exhausted, fatigued, nauseated, sickened, stunned, and poisoned. She must be able to physically touch the patient in order to ease the suffering until it is gone.
Downside to the skill is while the patient suffers so does Juliet, though she only feels half the pain of the person she is trying to cure. She does feel it until the person has been cured. Because of this Juliet can not stand more than one or two patients a day to start.
Appearance:
Her skin is Pale almost sheet white in color. Bright emerald green eyes and dark blond hair. Freckles dust a line across her face. Her hair is waist length and often kept in two tight braids. When her hair isn't braided back for convenience, Juliet's hair has a simple wave in it. She favors a sweater like top where the neck is open and hangs off both shoulders, her sleeves end at her wrists while the end of her shirt reaches her wrists while standing. Blue ribbons keep her braids held together and dark blue pants with black boots cover her bottom half. Around her neck is a thin chain with a locket on the end.
Juliet prefers Dark colors pants preferably with several pockets on each leg. Skirts have always driven her completely crazy as such she protests the need to wear skirts or dresses except very formal occasions after some grunting and groaning she will eventually put them on. Juliet stands at 5'2'' and weighs 120 pounds. She isn't the slimmest girl but she isn't chunky either. On her left shoulder and left inner ankle Juliet has a large scar a mix of both pink and white in nature. On the front right side of her stomach is another scar that never quite healed over. Because of this Juliet is only comfortable with the scar on her shoulder because it isn't often brought to her attention and will often wear clothing to cover the other two scars. She will never wear pants any shorter than her ankles and shirts will always reach at or below her waist.
Personality:
Juliet is always worried about one thing or another. She's extremely focused on her ability to complete things, because she doesn't want to disappoint her family or teachers. She's constantly hyper-aware of how she appears to people and how she behaves around others. She often goes about life with an expression on her face as if she were crying or near tears, which gives people the impression that she is frail and vulnerable and possibly unstable. Though she is unaware this is the facial expression she give people.
While Juliet does poorly in large crowds she is more sociable in private settings. One on one or in small groups it is easier for her to express herself in a careful and well thought manner. She offers well thought out opinions in each conversation and will dispense advice and even gentle criticisms if she feels like she can do so without being judged. She is drawn towards those who easily offer friendship without demanding too much in return, people with enough forwardness to approach her in search of camaraderie and yet patience enough to not rush Juliet into opening up to them. Although this sometimes gets her left out of things, it also helps her learn and pick up information rapidly, and she rarely dives headfirst into something she can’t handle. In a sense, her being quiet is as much a careful decision as it is a natural tendency.
Deep down Juliet is insecure with the world around her and in herself. Everything said to her is taken to heart, intent on being a better person, a better worker, a better anything. She feels she isn't fit for the life she lives, let along companionship from others. Hurtful words are often taken much easier than words of compliments or praise. She strives to be important in a way that doesn't cause her to stand out.
This allows her to form her own Judgements, instead of listening to the random chatter and gossip around her. Nothing in her world is black or white but shades of grey and there are always more sides to a fight than one. Because of this people often find her easier to approach but quickly grow frustrated when she refuses to join a side in what she considers petty battles. Juliet takes all her commitments very seriously. She was taught to always keep her word and is exceedingly careful to only give her word when she is certain she can do so without fail. Just because She is quiet doesn't mean Juliet is unintelligent, she's actually quite the opposite and is a shining example of the phrase 'quiet people are often smarter'.
Juliet is a kind yet emotional soul. She cares deeply for others and tries to be in-tune with others emotions and thoughts. When a problem is brought to her, she tries to put herself into their shoes and gives advice based on things she knows rather than her own opinions. To help solve the problem they are facing or give them some relief from their pain. Juliet also follows instructions very closely and has a great attention to detail.
Juliet has several hobbies from collecting flowers to swimming in available water. She finds these tasks as a great way to escape both the days events and her own over active mind and the things she worries about constantly. Without the ability to swim or collect flowers, Juliet fears she may find herself driven into insanity.
She hopes one day to break free of the confined shell she often finds herself in, hoping to find the ability to make new friends and be heard on a larger scale. She has a great passion for learning and though she may not be a scholar she believes you can never have enough information. She carries a lot of hope in herself and hope for others, even if she can't put that hope towards everything.
Juliet isn't sure what to think on her family, she loves her mother and yet has a hard deep hatred for her leaving Juliet conflicted with emotions on the best of days. She adores her father even though he was gone most of her life leaving her to envision what he would have been like almost to the point of creating a hero out of him. Her older brother is loved and revered as he did his best to protect her from anything she deemed dangerous however has disdain for the way she was treated as a child. Juliet has little tolerance for her younger sister as she was constantly putting all the blame for her actions on Juliet. It had taken her a while to realize that it must have been jealousy that resulted in her sisters resentment. She isn't sure yet how to feel about her younger brother as he is still an infant.
Bad - Insecure, worry wart, Emotional, Takes things to personal
Good - Hard worker, Caring, easy to approach, Hopeful
History:
Juliet was the second born in her family, and being the first girl she was every bit her mothers wish. For the first fifteen months of her life Juliet enjoyed a happy infant to toddler life, she was pampered and adored. Prized and shared as any mother would. Then things changed, Juliet's mother quickly grew ill and since her father worked to support the family as best he could there was little time or energy left to taking care of Juliet's mental needs though her physical needs were met. Her older brother wasn't even old enough too attend school yet so couldn't be expected to watch over her and their mother had demanded. It was during this time Juliet had fallen off the dinner table she had been climbing on, and as a result had injured her ankle shoulder and had landed on something causing bleeding to her stomach. She was quickly healed from the accident however scars still remain evident on her skin.
When Juliet's mother got better whatever had made her sick left a thick trace on her, she was never the same after that. Worried that she would loose her daughters love if she didn't keep her close as much as possible she started locking her up in her room when she wasn't in school. At the age of five Juliet started manifesting magic leading to even more pride in her mother and an even greater need to keep her close. That didn't stop Juliet from being enrolled in the academy by her father, and Juliet was eager to share the events of the day.
Soon her mother stopped wanting to hear how much fun Juliet was having without her and shutting her up in her room became a more frequent event. Juliet was never allowed to spend time outside of school with the friends she had made and eventually being misunderstood, started loosing her friends.
At the age of seven Juliet grew very ill and though she struggled to push her body beyond it's limitations to please everyone including her mother. This left the already very shut in girl even more shut in than before and Juliet started to form an almost reclusive nature. Once her sister was old enough to walk and talk, eventually things started to turn for the worse. Events and stolen items were blamed on Juliet, causing a large rift between the two sisters. A few more months passed before Juliet's mother worsened and illness returned.
Before her mother was taken to be treated and healed, she had given Juliet a small stock of bamboo. Her mother has yet to return home. School went normally after that, though she found it hard to make friends and keep them Juliet found herself more interested in her studies than in the people around her. It was easier for her to learn from her classes, than it was to learn how to interact with people who were always different.
Along the way in School Juliet eventually picked the path of 'Mender' as she personally called it though it was more commonly under the healing affinity. She excelled in her classes as a student as long as it didn't require large amounts of interaction with the other students as a whole. She did well with one on one requirements and worked hard to support her peers when she could. All the while caring for and nurturing the bamboo plant her mother had given her.
On her seventeenth year Juliet was astounded when she was given her medal and ceremony clothes. For years she had been dreaming of the day she would offer up her bamboo to the tree, having secretly picked that path due to her great love of both her mother and the bond she had formed with the bamboo plant. The ceremony was a nervous time for Juliet, as she constantly fretted about doing the wrong thing and forever messing up in a way that would affect her forever.
When the bamboo had been offered and the giant panda crawled out nothing could have made the young woman happier than to be with the new guardian. Her family had not been invited to the ritual as Juliet had deemed it to personal to involve them.
The bond between Juliet and Haumea grew quickly over the first awkward weeks as the guardian slowly began to develop her own personality. Juliet began to lean on the giant panda as an emotional support system and from there they grew close and inseparable.
