On my light days and if it's super busy at work I may leave them in for 10+ hours accidentally. However, on super heavy days they only last two hours before leaking. Hopefully after surgery I won't ever deal with the two hour thing again. Just had what I think was my first official period post ablation. It lasted 5 days. It was either that or ovulation. I hope it wasn't ovulation. If it was period, it was 5 days and one pad would have sufficed all day if I wanted to be gross. I haven't tried a tampon for blood flow yet since surgery.

I don't think I could leave one in for over 5 hours.

I don't think they're supposed to, but bacteria loves to make strange odors.
And can't say I have : D

Not really, I don't sniff them, though. I would never intentionally leave one in for 9+ hours. I usually go 4-6 hours.
