Vogen rolled his eyes at the girl." The world's second consulting detective?" Vogen said, putting extra emphasis on the word second. "Who do you consult with?" Vogen laughed, "I haven't seen you on BBC or anything," Vogen said, poking fun at her but careful to not cross a line. "Look, I know your brilliant and quite capable of seeing things I am not and the officer in there did act a little shady with the whole 'Come to my office' bit," Vogen continued "but do you really think we've stumbled on to some super secret evil scheme? Here? at St. Basils University? in the heart of London?" Vogen said, extending his arms outward to give his statement extra effect." Vogen's cool and calculating logical brain simply could not fathom the existence of such a scheme. "Are you not telling me something?" Vogen questioned, wondering if she had some facts he did not.
Vogen thought for a bit about her question about the symbol on the constable's ring. "Yes I know I've seen it before but I just cant...." he looked out across the central courtyard, looking out over distances has always helped him think. The courtyard was beautiful today, several people were sitting in the grass reading, the birds were chirping and the sun was out. After panning across the courtyard for a few minutes, he saw a couple kissing on one of the park benches. "AH HA! Yeah I remember now!" Vogen exclaimed "I think I noticed it while I was in the library, I think there is a much bigger version on a wall there." Vogen began ". Specifically, the King's Immense Safe Storage... or *KISS* for short. It is where the professors keep all their notes about research projects they've worked on or working on." Vogen continued "I was in there with my father once when he was a member of the faculty here." Vogen thought for a minute "Do you think there is a connection? I am not even sure how we would get in there anyway..."

"Of course my father was the first that makes me the second." she said rolling her own eyes. "I consult with whomever I decide is worthy." she huffed. "Of course we have. How can you not see it. Why does it have to take some place bigger for it to be a crime. Do you know the most criminal masterminds start their deeds in places just like this school. No one ever thinks to look there." Kaitlyn explained.
"Kiss, what kind of name is that. Do you know where that is? If so we need to go there now and discover what is really going on." Kaitlyn said. "If he was wearing that ring than how can their not be a connection. If you get me there I will find a way to get in."

Vogen shrugged his shoulders at the girl. "I have been following your father's career with great interest, the man seems to be able to see every piece of relevant information in-front of him, deduce the pieces that are missing, and filter out everything that is not important." Vogen said, looking over at Kaitlyn "I have also been following you as well, the way you totally broke down Gravitational Physics into a single pamphlet sent a shock-wave through the whole Engineering community." He smiled weakly at the girl, knowing that his compliment would simply be absorbed like an ant by the giant mass her ego must have become by now. "I see a-lot of your father's brilliance in you, I hope it will help us figure out what is going on here, because something just doesn't feel right."
Vogen looked down at his watch and sighed. "The KISS closed an hour ago" Vogen said, showing Kaitlyn his watch, "We'll have to wait until tomorrow if we are thinking about breaking in." Vogen said with a laugh. "Say, do you have a minute?" vogen reached into a backpack he had been wearing and produced some schematics, "I have been trying to get this thing to work for months now and I just can't get the energy to flow in the direction I want it to." Maybe I could show you back to the workshop were I was earlier? and maybe you could avoid tackling someone this time?" Vogen laughed.

Kaitlyn gave a hum of boredom as the man before her said that he had been following her father's career. Many people had followed her father's career especially after the scandal about him being fake and then the supposive suicide. She looked up surprised when the man continued to say that he had been following her. She frowned at the man's reference to the gravitational physics pamphlet. "It was quite simple really." she shrugged returning to her thoughts. "Not many people thought it was brillance when I did that. Many were quite angry with me." she shrugged. "Of course i'll figure this out."
The girl continued to frown when the man said that the super 'secret' club had closed an hour before and that they would have to wait until the next day. "A minute?" she questioned a bit perplexed. "Your using direct current, you need to be using alternating current." Kaitlyn explained taking a look over the schematics. "I suppose I could take a look."

Vogen gave a smile and a nod when Kaitlyn agreed to help him with his project. Feelings of excitement and dread flooded his brain at the same time. While he was excited to be working with someone of such skill in the field, and was certain that she would be able to help him with the problem he was having, he was opening himself up to criticism from a person he very much respected. The resulting feeling had a direct effect on his charisma.
"T-Thank you for agreeing to help me..." Vogen Stammered "I am certain that with your help I'll... er we'll be able to figure this out." Vogen managed to say, instantly wishing he had simply kept his mouth shut and let her think he was an idiot than opening it and removing all doubt. "I didn't think about using Alternating current, that will provide for a-lot more stability in the charge up sequence." Vogen said, attempting to demonstrate some semblance of intelligence but still sounding like a man trying to give a speech to a large crowd whilst trying to tolerate a small child using a mirror to reflect light into his eyes.
"Why were people angry with you?" Vogen questioned, "My fellow students were close to laminating your pamphlet to use as a quick reference guide whilst consulting others in the field." Vogen began, walking toward the science building where they had met only hours before.

Kaitlyn watched the man from the corner of her eyes amusement showing in them. He was acting like an exciteable puppy dog not sure whether to follow its master or chase after the toy that had just been thrown. She had seen people in her father's presence do such a thing but never had someone done the same thing to her. "I agree to help you because you are going to get me into that 'secret' club house." Kaitlyn stated quickly with a serious tone looking pointedly at Vogen. When she was sure her point had been made she looked back to the designs once more.
"You also need a better coollant of some sort, this thing is atrocious." Kaityln sneered pointing to the cooling unit in the designs. "something with liquid nitrogen would be of far better use if you don't want your... project self destructing." she continued.
"Why wouldn't they be angry with me? I was fifteen at the time and did something in a year that they had been trying to do their whole careers. It seems plain that they would then hate me and try to discredit me. Students aren't proffesors and proffesionals yet of course they liked it. I made their life easy." Kaitlyn sighed brushing some of her long blond hair from her face as she walked next to Vogen towards the science building.

Vogen weakly smiled at Kaitlyn and her comment about the KISS. He was happy to have her help even if that help was for a price. It was obvious that he needed her assistance to get his project finished on time but he was looking for her help, not for her to take over the entire thing.
"I am trying to build a machine that is capable of self-sustained power generation." Vogen began, pointing again at the schematics "I used your theory of gravitational physics as a method of maintaining a gyro-sphere that, when given an initial push by an outside source can maintain itself and get faster" Vogen pointed rather excitedly at the design. "Surely you recognize it?" Vogen again pointed to the diagram. "Once i get the power generation mechanism completed, It should be able to power just about any addition we want to make to it, I was thinking light generation for explorers or something."
"Yes the cooling of the device has been a serious problem, liquid nitrogen would probably do the trick! Thank you, we can swing by the supply room and pick some up." Vogen explained as they entered the science building.
"My collegues and I were not angry with you." Vogen stated, smiling at Kaitlyn. "Your theory pretty much eliminated the need for three other books on the subject." Vogen began "But change is scary for some people i guess."
