Is anyone else of fan of the man and his works? His official website can be found
here if you are interested.
I have been a fan of Clive Barker's for almost ten years now, I think. I remember that I used to steer away from his books because I had a misconception about the type of writer he was. However, I came across a paperback copy of
Weaveworld at a reduced price book sale in the middle of the mall one day. I thought to myself that I would give him a try, especially since the cover looked intriguing (oh how I despise judging a book by its cover). After I read it, I was thirsting for more and
Imajica, my second, made me fall in love with the man. I haven't read everything of his, but I have completed a good bit of it. I figure that I would give
Abarat another try even though I felt disappointed reading the first few chapters when it originally came out. I kind of miss the detailed and length descriptions, but they're not so much to make it boring. Don't go saying that I only like lengthy works because I adored his children's book
The Thief of Always.
