This is hard razz
Arabian Nights Setting:Old eastern cities, palaces and the dessert Main Hosts: Scheherazade and Shahryār Comments/Critique There is more than 1001 tales to choose from but there is only a few well known like alibaba, alladin, sinbad and the frame story of Scheherazade and Shahryār. I have the books so i can list the summaries of a few hundred of the tales if needed
Classic Lit. Setting: 18th century England? Main Hosts: Sherlock Holmes and Dr.Watson Comments/Critique:Many choices to choose from but a bit old fashioned in some cases and if we go outside a certain box in choosing what to base the story and rooms on it would feel like we abandoned the classical literature
the Undead Setting biggrin emon world/graveyard Main Hosts:Van Helsing and Dr. Frankenstein Comments/Critique biggrin emons,Necromancers,Zombies,Skeletons, werewolfs. A lot of types of undead but i have no idea of what we would do or things like that.
Steampunk Setting: Victorian England Main Hosts: The Queen and Voltaire? Comments/Critiques:Good for adventure and great for avatars.
Dark Carnival Setting biggrin ont know Main Hosts biggrin ont know Comments/Critiques:I have no idea what a dark carnival is.
Myths and Legends Setting:Atlantis Main Hosts confused ??? Comments/Critiques:This is a real wide subject please narrow it.
Zodiac Setting:A banquet between the babylonian and chinese zodiac Main Hosts:Aquarius(or whatever sign it is during the ball) and The Snake if the ball is taking place between Feb 10, 2013 – Jan 30 2014 Comments/Critiques:It would be very complicated
Sea Setting:A floating city Main Hosts:Undine and Poseidon Comments/Critiques:It would be fun and if everyone could breathe underwater, (like in some games i play where the hero blew up a shipment of water-breathing potions that poured out into the sea)
Time Periods Setting:The realm of Chronos Main Hosts: Chronos god of time and the mysterious time-keeper Comments/Critiques: It would be fun easy to arrange and most would find something they like
Video Games Setting: RPG style setting Main Hosts:Too hard to decide Comments/Critiques: I dont know what is copyrighted and who would know what characters

So Very Hard, so sorry if everything is half filled in and whatnot.
Arabian Nights Setting: Middle Eastern Dessert? Main Hosts: Ali Baba Comments/Critique Basically its all the tales of Ali Baba, if I remember correctly.
Classic Lit. Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critique:
the Undead Setting: A Major City? Main Hosts: The Leader of the survival camp? Comments/Critique: Basically its like a pick your own adventure. You give the guests options for the survivalists to take and whatever seems the most popular will trigger and so on and so forth?
Steampunk Setting: Steampunk Airship Main Hosts: Captian D. Skeeter? Comments/Critiques: Basically, its more of a futuristic steampunk, they left earth durin a bit meltdown and they happened to only have steampunk and victorian clothing with them and are trying to find there way to a new planet
Dark Carnival Setting: A Carnival of course Main Hosts: Ringmaster Comments/Critiques: Not only is this more of a horrish carnival, it should also have things like in Cirque Du Freak. I think that would be great.
Myths and Legends Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques:
Zodiac Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques:
Sea Setting: Cruise Ship Main Hosts: Captain Comments/Critiques: Who says something totalyl bad has to happen. Okay, we we could easily sink the ship, make it the next Titanic? The rooms could be all the activities, and the power goes out in all of them so the survivors have to go from one room to the other until they get to the upper deck where the lifeboats are.

Arabian Nights Setting: Any arabian town really Main Hosts: The Thief, The Prince, The Princess, The Father, The Mother, The Guard, The Genie, The Best Friend, The Spy, The crossed lover, the secret lovers(could be different characters or a mix of the above). The sisters, the dancer, the Father's chef/best friend Comments/CritiqueRooms: Town/market, palace, dancing hall/bar, brothel, black market,
Classic Lit. Setting: In a town kind of like Disney Land where all the books are alive and interact with each other Main Hosts: The main characters of what ever books we choose Comments/Critique: Only down side I really see in this is some people might not know the books and we all know people can be pretty lazy about reading the descriptions and intros
the Undead Setting: also could be a place like Disney Main Hosts: The vampire kingdom, the demon kingdom, the angle kingdom, the ghost town mayor and family, lich leaders, Were leaders Comments/Critique: Honestly I think out of the ones left this is the one I see we could do the most with. Everyone knows SOME sort of undead character even if they dont know all of them. They could 'learn' about the others as they interact with them instead of having to go read up on them first
Steampunk Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: I dont really see what we could do with this.. also this would mean guests having to spend alot of gold to get steam punk items and it might push them away from joining us
Dark Carnival Setting: A dark carnival lol Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: demon/ witches/ dark characters hidden as circus acts could be kind of cool but I could see alot of fighting over characters and alot of copy cats from this theme. You can only have so many of one thing before you have to force people to be something else.
Myths and Legends Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: Also dont like this because i feel it'd be alot of reading for the guests unless we pick REALLY well known ones but then its the who is who again and fighting over characters... but we've already done this
Zodiac Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: I dont like this one at all! I feel like every year someone suggests this just because gaia has items for it. Its also a bit like the sins so i think we shouldnt do this. Cause really why do people pay attention to their zodiacs except for the fact of their personality. well thats mostly sins type stuff. Scorpio: Angry, protective, bull headed and determined... wrath... thats all im saying
Sea Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: Also dont like this theme because there are going to be SO many mermaids and if someone doesnt like mermaids (like me) they wont join. Unless we expand this to include Pirates, which we did this year.
Time Periods Setting: Disney type place again! I'd like to see how the times interact but can also stay separate in their own areas as well Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: Again I feel like the guests would have to look up the time periods just to make a COSTUME that fits yet alone how to act and such. I DO like the idea I could see alot of billowing dresses and suits and such but unless we did the work and looked up everything for them and posted reference pictures and basic information about the room in as little words as possible i could see this being a head ache. But I LOVE the thought of the costumes and characters
Video Games Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: I honestly dont see how this could work without copy right issues coming in to play. Cause we would also have to warn the guests about copy right.

Arabian Nights Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critique This is a theme I can see alot to be done with this as well. During the time that the Arabian nights focuses around, there are so many different empires building up. We could have Rome, Greece, Egypt, Ancient China, etc...
Classic Lit. Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critique: We would be tied down to the plots of the literature about this which could cause it not really to have the freedom
the Undead Setting: Post modern era, Post-apocalypse Main Hosts: Comments/Critique: I can see zombies, Werewolves, Vampires, etc.. entering, this is a unique theme and can have alot done with it, but can feel constricted.
Steampunk Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques:We did this as a room before, but could also make this as the theme, but if w did this as a theme, I can see it getting a little connfusing for people that don't know much about the theme
Dark Carnival Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques:
Myths and Legends Setting: Caves, Waters, Mountains Main Hosts: Yeti, Lochness monster, ogo pogo, etc... Comments/Critiques: I like this idea as there is so much that can be done with this idea.
Zodiac Setting: Not sure, maybe on how it was done before int he ball? Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: I feel not alot of people know the Zodiac too well so it may be hard to role-play with the guests
Sea Setting: I can see this underwater kingdom, Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: Just can you really get 7-10 rooms out of this theme? Unless you do one for each ocean and maybe a pirates room (OMG I would so want to be host of a pirates room)
Time Periods Setting: Not sure exactly as we done this idea twice already Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: We have done this theme twice already, a 3rd time especially in 11 years would be redundant, don't you think?
Video Games Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: Copyrights could be infringed easily which would get the ball shut down.

Classic Lit. Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critique:
the Undead Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critique:
Steampunk Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques:
Dark Carnival Setting: Well..An evil carnival? Main Hosts: The manager of the carnival and maybe a performer or two. Comments/Critiques: The guest are stuck in a haunted/dark carnival while trying to solve clues to why the carnival became what it is.
Myths and Legends Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques:
Zodiac Setting: A celestial world Main Hosts: What ever zodiac sign it is for easter and western at the time Comments/Critiques: The East and West zodiacal members are at war, and the guest can either chose a side, or explore the celestial wonders.
Sea Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques:
Time Periods Setting: A very large time machine Main Hosts: The time machine operator, his/her assistant, the mechanic, and a Villian who also has a time machine Comments/Critiques: The group of guests embark on a journey, hopping from time to time, trying find a certain item that will be revealed by the hosts... It would be a bit confusing however.

I'll turn him into a flea, a harmless, little flea, and then I'll put that flea in a box, and then I'll put that box inside of another box, and then I'll mail that box to myself, and when it arrives..Arabian Nights Setting: Hanging Gardens of Ancient Persia.... Main Hosts: Queen Scheherazade and King Shahryār. Comments/Critique If we were to do Arabian Nights, there's literally 1001 ways we could do this. Not to mention any variations we decide to throw in. It could be something like when Scheherazade tells her stories they come to life and run rampant or something Classic Lit. Setting: A library is the first thing that come to mind Main Hosts: No idea Comments/Critique: I don't know how many people have seen the movie PageMaster (cool movie); anyways it's in this library where all the books are actually alive. The horror section is all spooky with evil castle and hell hounds. The Fantasy section is all fairies and dragons, etc. the Undead Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critique: Steampunk Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: As cool as this would be, its just such a broad idea and would be difficult to bring it down enough for an actual theme. We'd basically be writing out a complete story for a theme before ever being able to concentrate on rooms. Dark Carnival Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: Having it based on the old Gypsy carnivals would be pretty cool. Strong man, fortune teller, devil man, etc. Maybe kinda add in that the Carnival wants you to never leave so they can steal your soul? I dunno just a thought. Myths and Legends Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: Zodiac Setting: I dunno, some cloudy heavenly place Main Hosts: I would pick Aries and The Ram, since are one and the same in representation. Comments/Critiques: This is my favorite idea. I think it would be great to work with both Zodiacs. Eastern and Western. Matching up the corresponding zodiac from each wheel would define the beginning rooms and having the leftover zodiac be the room co-hosts. It could be something as simple as a Ball for all the zodiac. Every 100 years the Eastern and Western zodiac get together for a Ball to celebrate their effect on the world (Gaia). But this time, two "evil" non-zodiac are trying to infiltrate the Ball because of their jealousy of being left out: Ophiuchus and The Cat. In doing so they completely disrupt the balance of the Zodiac causing chaos in the world. The guests must restore balance to the cosmos before the ball ends.Sea Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: Time Periods Setting: The world Main Hosts: Father Time and Mother Nature Comments/Critiques: Not sure what the plot would be exactly except something to do with Time Travel....a scavenger hunt maybe? Who knows, anyways having rooms like Feudal Japan, Steampunk/Victorian London, Futuristic Paris, Mayan Brazil. All different places and time in history and future would be really cool I think. Video Games Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critiques: ...I'll smash it with a hammer! It's brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, I tell you! Genius, I say!

Arabian Nights Setting: Desert +Magic Camels anyone?+
Classic Lit. Setting: The world of books? Comments/Critique: I don't know if this would really draw that many people in...
the Undead Setting: An eerie place Comments/Critique: This just sounds fun!
Dark Carnival Setting: One of those circus tents. Main Hosts: Ringmaster (duh) and... maybe a clown? Comments/Critiques: This would be so great!
Zodiac Setting: Different stars Main Hosts: Zodiac Princess and Prince (or king and queen) Comments/Critiques: Perfect because I wanted a zodiacal anyways!
Sea (tempted to bust out singing Under the Sea) Setting: In... the... sea... Main Hosts: Mermaids
Time Periods Setting: A time warp! Main Hosts: A time witch and her helper
Video Games Setting: I like the convention idea. Main Hosts: The convention peoples. Comments/Critiques: When they walk into the crowed convention room, they see booths where you can enter the video game. The only way to leave the room to another one is through wi-fi connection lol.

Setting: Library (people get sucked into different books for each room) Main Hosts: Classic Lit characters i.e. Macbeth & Lady Macbeth Comments/Critique:
the Undead Setting: Graveyard? (Kinda cliche) Main Hosts: Comments/Critique:

I'm probably to late for this, but one can try sweatdrop
Arabian Nights Setting: Maybe something that involves a desert temple, and a series of puzzles, like Indiana Jones, but the answers involve something from another RP based in this category? Main Hosts: A Priest and Priestess? Comments/Critique I like this idea, but it's one I've seen more then a few times as a theme for an RP (Not for an event however ><)
Classic Lit. Setting: A library, or a school perhaps? Main Hosts: Librarians or Principal and assistant principal? Comments/Critique: Some might think they have to give full paragraphs, and as much as it is easier to keep up with, won't allow as many people into it. ^^;
the Undead Setting: If no one has said underwater yet, I say that one. *Thinking Davy Jones locker ><* Main Hosts: Davy Jones, and his first mate? Comments/Critique: Undead is a bit touchy, since we have some people who love Twilight vampires that sparkle, then you have beings like me who prefer the good old Dracula version. We would have to specify on that, but other then that, it's an idea we can all relate to, as far as I'm awarw
Steampunk I know nothing of this theme, therefore, I'm just going to let it be sweatdrop
Dark Carnival Setting: The setting is in the name, but why not have the carnival in a large (very large) cave? Main Hosts: The Ringmasters(who are demons)? Comments/Critiques: I've actually been in a circus themed RP before. It's not bad, and can be very fun, and I really have no negatives on this one ^^;
Myths and Legends I know about this theme, but I just don't know what to say about it.
Zodiac Setting: Normally, my mind would go to outer space, where the signs originally come from, but seeing as that is ordinary, why not a planet where they actually exist? Main Hosts: Well, I would say have a male and female version of symbol that rules the month the ball is in, that would make sens to me. Comments/Critiques: I actually really like this idea, since it has a lot of potential. You can create 12 rooms in total (Including the main one of course), and I have yet to see a Zodiac themed anything. Maybe this will bring more zodiac themed RP's, and I will probably get shot for that comment. ><
Sea Setting: A ship? Main Hosts: A Pirate King and Queen? Comments/Critiques: Honestly, I see pirates too often as well. ><
Time Periods Setting: Okay, so this may be far fetched, but an art gallery? Main Hosts: Seeing as Mother Earth and Father Time are usually busy with their positions, perhaps their children? Comments/Critiques:
Video Games I think we should save this idea for another year, but that just might be me. ><

Arabian Nights Setting: Main Hosts: Comments/Critique
Classic Lit. Setting: A library, from where the ballgoers enter the books of their choice and are transported to the world of the story. Main Hosts: A librarian and his/her assistant Comments/Critique: A huge theme. It would be so easy to adapt into rooms for us to use. However, some less literary Gaians would maybe need a story summary just so they know roughly what's going on! I also think there would really be something for everyone~
the Undead Setting: A school, barricaded against zombies. Main Hosts: Two plucky students. Comments/Critique: The zombie idea seems a little... mainstream (hipster) at the moment. It's a bit overplayed, I think...
Steampunk //acme. I have no idea //Headdesk
Dark Carnival Setting: A gothic victorian circus, led by a mysterious magical Ringmaster and his/her troupe of performers. Main Hosts: Ringmaster and a Jester Comments/Critiques: I'm not sure what the rooms would be, but I have a story kind of in my head at the moment.
Myths and Legends ...I'll ask my mom about this. She's a legend nut.
Zodiac The only thing I can think of at the moment is Fruits Basket so uh.
Sea Setting: Underwater reef that is dying. Main Hosts: A Mermaid and a Merman Comments/Critiques: I'm not too sure how we could do this. Maybe like searching for shards of crystal in each room to restore the reef to health? Not too sure >3< Time Periods Setting: A museum at night. Each exhibit takes the ballgoers to a different time period. (Megan, stop nicking movie ideas.) Main Hosts: The Museum curators. Comments/Critiques: This is so one of my favourite themes. Not too sure about a story, but the theme's pretty broad so thinking of one would not be hard. Video Games ...One thing I know literally nothing for, so er. Skipping. It's a cool idea though!
