I haven't been around in a while.. but I thought I'd come back to share this if you all haven't seen it. It's pretty freakin interesting!
first, I saw this one portion, about the history of the world:
and then I realized there were more vids by this Spirit Science group
here is eps 1-15 together in a 4hr video (I watched it bit by bit but you could look at them all separately) and then there are two new eps, 16 and 17 which came out most recently..)
So yeah... I was hooked. watched them silently in awe all the way through and now am re-watching them.
take care all <3

Since this series attempts to include Jesus and explain his purpose, I feel it my duty to mention:
Quote:
Hebrews 9:22 (NIV)
22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Spirit Science puts an emphasis on self, you can save yourself, the power is within you, you can ascend by sheer meditation and by energizing your chakras; that's not what Jesus taught. Spirit Science neglects—or shows a complete ignorance of—the sacrificial system YHWH set in place, a sacrificial system which Yeshua did not violate: he didn't transgress the law/ he did not sin (1 John 3:4-5; Hebrews 4:15). Everything he said adhered to his Father's Torah (different from Pharisaical, man-made doctrine). I say all that to make this point: they cannot use Jesus' existence to further their theory while ignoring everything he said. His every word (including his warnings to "repent or perish" Lk 13:3-5) contradicts the idea that you can save yourself / that you are capable of ascending just by being nice and positive / that there is no sin or law that you've transgressed. It's incompatible with what Jesus taught (“You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” - Mk 7:8; “No one comes to the Father except through me.” - John 14:6b; “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.” - John 6:44 ). You can't ascend on your own. The very idea of "ascended masters" contradicts the notion of the Abrahamic God who calls for a blood sacrifice (which Jesus was) in order to atone for your sin and thus have his judgment / punishment pass over you.
Jesus did not ascend by meditation and following his own intuition as Part 14 8:04-8:31 says. The Father resurrected him after he died a bloody death (Acts 13:33, 37) and He followed everything the Father told him to do, not his own intuition (John 5:19). Tangent: Jesus did not resurrect himself, so following Spirit Science's theory, how much less will the dead right now? They can't "ascend" themselves. They're not meditating on anything new, they don't "know" anything that happens here once they pass (Ecclesiastes 9:5). They need to be resurrected by YHWH from their graves; they're not in heaven right now, nor the lake of fire for that matter. You need to be resurrected into an imperishable body to enter either of those places (1 Corinthians 15:50; Revelation 20:11-15). Back On-topic: The crucifixion is not up for debate; people debate whether he was divine or not. If the video is claiming you'll ascend exactly like Jesus did, then prepare to die (not just to self, but physically: the anti-christ comes before Jesus' return and the anti-christ will persecute those who adhere to Jesus' words); his resurrection and ascension had nothing to do with meditation / chakras, but all to do with persecution and bloodshed (the receiving end of it).
That particular video that I linked to goes on to say everyone will enter the 4th dimension and be able to walk into Heaven. That contradicts Jesus' words again that very few will make it in (Mt 7:13-14) Further, it's Jesus who is responsible for changing our bodies (Philippians 3:21), not we ourselves by meditating. If people want to believe Spirit Science, that's their prerogative, but to lump Jesus into this theory is just ignorant and nonsensical. At his very core, what Jesus stands for ("submit to the Father; I will save you") is directly opposed to the tenets of Spirit Science ("submit to no God, that's an archaic mis-understanding, it's just energy; save yourself").
In my humble opinion, this is part of the deception that Thessalonians speaks about: they will perish for failing to love the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12), Jesus being the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). People are being led to follow a different Jesus who doesn't adhere to the law and the prophets (2 Corinthians 11:3-4; Acts 24:14). The prophets spoke of a servant of God who would die for the transgressions of many (Isaiah 53). Spirit Science ignores all that as if meditation was the key to his ascension.
Spirit Science, I would say, is in cahoots with Theosophy and the religion of the New World Order: trying to get everyone to unite over one religious system that denies "the God of their Fathers" (Daniel 11:37)—which includes the law and the prophets. The acceptable Christian in the future will be the one doing Yoga and claiming to worship the same God as everyone else. Those who hold to biblical truth, however, will be beheaded according to prophecy (Revelation 20:4-6). We will be persecuted for being deterrents to the "world peace" they're trying to achieve, for adhering to the biblical Jesus. The Abrahamic scriptures do not allow for unity of the world religions: it contradicts them. I don't say this to offend, just to point out that Spirit Science sounds bogus from a religious perspective too—at the very least, it does not truthfully present the historical and biblical Jesus.
Quote:
2 Timothy 4:3 (NIV)
3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

Fan Girl Acquired. Jokes aside, on a serious note I completely agree with what you have said.
