The layout is fabulous!
Regarding the as-of-yet unfinished sections, are they unfinished because there is currently no material to put there, or has it simply not been added?
As for the code section, the most common (and of the most simple) type of code is an anagram. (Dr F Kale = Dark Elf, for example). Keep one's mind open to the possible solutions of an anagram, but also be aware that anagrams are simple enough to create that many false suspects have and will attempt one. White text is another common means of disguising text, though again, false suspects have been known to use it as well.
It may be wise to list other kinds of code as well, including alpha/numerical cipher, variations of book cipher, etc.

For codes, I was going to do an anagram, the Cesar cipher, and probably make a reference to the old zurg codes. I was thinking about talking about binary and hex codes too a little.

I really like ClandestineDuck's idea about how expensive items don't always make a good avatar...I'd also like to add that spamming items doesn't make a good avatar...EVER. xd
And I really love this idea, although I don't feel like I have very much to contribute... sweatdrop

my advice:
ask alot of questions, but only answer questions vaguely. be subtle, though! act like a curious social butterfly.
make lots of friends; it's better to have allies than enemies. do as many kiind things as possible, and you will be trusted and well-received. it also doesn't hurt to earn favours.
the light-touch approach works wonders. no need to be invisible when you can hid ein plain sight. just attract little attention, and you'll be fine. blend in or misdirect attention.
never use your real name. always use an alias. unless you are talking to someone who already knows your real name; then use that.
play dumb. nobody expects you to be cunning if you seem like a fool.
