"If you don't like how things are,
change it!

Godzillette the seeing eye dog? Seriously? Couldn't this hag just call her a b***h and just get it over with? After all, they were practically the same, and the latter was less of a mouthful to say. Still, name-calling was distasteful. If more wit was placed into the insults, then Kim would be more amused, but unfortunately, they weren't. She wasn't going to go down without a fight though.

She allowed her face to crumble for a moment before she made her way over to the table, acting as crestfallen as possible. "Okay..." Ah, yes, she made sure to add in some additional sniffles as she began to stick the thread through the needle. ....Who the hell would want a string of popcorn? Now that was tacky. Okay. Now it was time to take the plan to the next step. Pause. Cover hands with face. Think of sad things such as horrible haircuts, babies, and kittens. The kittens really did the trick. Sob. Sob. Boo hoo. Cry. It was a cheap move to use crocodile tears, but hey, whoever said she played fair?

Anyway, it wasn't like she could cry all the time. There was always a drawback, and that was that it was a pain to fix her makeup. Ugh.

Reiner stopped and stood up when he heard a rather rude comment from the Grudge la-- err, Verne. He was extremely confused by her sudden change in behavior. She seemed so kind before, but now that this girl came in, she was being pretty bitter. He wasn't sure what to make of it, or what to do, so he just watched in confusion for the longest time.

He quickly went back to cleaning when he saw Verne turn in his direction and didn't even glance up at her when she passed by. He didn't want to be on the receiving end of her wrath, since he wasn't sure what provoked her in the first place.

"Reiner," He mumbled in response to Verne, then perked up slightly when he heard a sound. Then another. He looked over at the giant and realized that the sound was sniffling, and it was coming from her. So not only did she insult her for no apparent reason, but made her cry? He was usually a pacifist, but he wasn't going to stand by and watch something like that happen. Without a word, he walked over to the base of the ladder and grabbed it, shifting it slightly to get Verne's attention. He tried his best to glare up at her, though it was difficult to actually look angry, since he was only mildly upset. But whether she got the signal or not, he was going to pull the ladder out from under her if she didn't apologize or explain herself.

... Well, he didn't have the heart to do something like that, but maybe he would shake it a little to scare her. Or something. He didn't know, he just wanted to know what was going on.

"Reiner huh? Nice to meet you Reiner." Verne stretched as far (and as carefully) as she could in an attempt to hang an ornament in what she had deemed to be a "proper" place. "Good name you got there. Unique, and therefore, memorable." She placed the ornament and leaned back, smiling. "Aaaand, perfect. I always feel a little OCD when I'm decorating a christmas tree... I end up putting all the ornaments into sequences of color."

"By the way... You can stop crying dear. You aren't fooling anyone." She addressed Kim without looking at her. "I mean, definitely impressive. You probably would have me feeling absolutely horrible right now with those tears, but Mr. Matthews is a little harder to fool. Animal instincts and the like... or maybe he's just shrewd. Either way, he's impressed too, if that's any consolation."

The orange cat, Verne's enormous and admittedly rather plump animal familiar had come out from underneath her desk, having decided that there was far too much noise to take a proper nap, seen the popcorn on the table, and hopped silently up to further investigate this potential food source. However, he was now sitting across the table from Kim, staring at her with what appeared to be a very unimpressed look on his face. He turned and gave Verne a bored look, mewing softly. "Isn't it just?" Verne sighed, replying to some unheard sentence as she placed her hands on her hips. "Besides, after the way you were acting last time you came in here, not to mention the things you said, I just sort of assumed that backhanded insults was going to sort of become our thing. I highly doubt that some admittedly mediocre name calling is gonna break through tha-"

Something nudged the ladder. Or someone. A tiny nudge really, a slight shift. Nothing too drastic. Nothing too unsettling... for most people. For Verne, who had all the dexterous capabilities of a mentally disabled orangutang wearing oven mitts, it was like a small earthquake. She lost consciousness for about a second after her head collided with the ground... and awoke feeling the need for a very strong drink. Today just wasn't her day. AT ALL.

As soon as he saw her fall, Mr. Matthews sprang into action, hopping nimbly over kim, dashing through Reiner's legs, approaching his master, currently sprawled flat on her back... and proceeding to climb onto, and unceremoniously sit down square in the middle of her chest. He gave her an amused look (or as amused of a look as a cat can give) And meowed.

"They do seem to be, don't they?" Verne groaned. Her head was throbbing, and she was fairly certain that a trip to the infirmary was looming in her near future...

Robin Skelton
I'm not calling you a liar
Just don't lie to me

During her free time Robin stayed cooped up in her room with a stack of books to read. And being the consistent reader she is she finished them within two weeks, giving her plenty of time to study up on gardening and piano music. Time to check out some new books~! Robin strolled in through the doorway, gripping onto her stack while glancing around the library. No sounds, no people, no... nothing? How odd. Somehow in the back of her mind she imagined the large area to be booming with several students who had nothing to do. This was obviously not the case when Robin went straight to the desk and plopped her stack of books, waiting patiently. For several minutes.

I'm not calling you a thief
Just don't steal from me

Maybe the librarian wasn't here after all...? Robin made sure to check the time before coming after all. But since she wasn't here yet.... She looked around once more before moving farther into the room until she stood in the very center of it. Already she spotted several problems within the large room. Streaks could be seen on the windows, specks of dust on the shelves, and... was that cat hair she spotted on the carpet? This place needed to be deep cleaned.

I'm not calling you a ghost
Just stop haunting me

Before leaving for the library she made sure to grab a rag to work with. But once she moved closer to the shelves, she noticed something else. One of the books was out of place! To her at least. Maybe just a little reorganizing with the books as well. It couldn't hurt to move certain books to where Robin assumed they belonged....

And I love you so much
I'm gonna let you

Verne had been exercising her impressive talent for falling asleep wherever the hell she liked. This time, on a moving staircase at the back of the library that she used to interact with the books on shelves that would normally be too high up to reach. The library was generally a nice place to nap, merely due to the fact that no one ever came in the place. Apparently studying (or just literature in general) wasn't all the rage amongst the students at the Resonance Skies Academy. Things always got slower during vacations as well. After all, what teenager in their right mind wanted to hang around a place where they were supposed to be quiet?

The all too familiar sound of a stack of books hitting hardwood brought Verne out of her slumber. Rolling her eyes, she poked at her animal familiar, a gigantic, orange cat she called "Mr. Matthews" with her foot. "Go and see who that is would you?" She yawned, then rolled her eyes at the animal's unheard response. "No, if you were my butler, I'd have named you Jeeves. Now would you please?"

The cat slinked down the aisle, taking all the time he felt he deserved to make it to the front desk. There was no one there. Curious in spite of himself, he looked about, finally setting eyes on a girl at a nearby bookcase who was... rearranging the shelves. That was an absolutely horrible idea really. Verne always kept the books organized in a very specific way, and would not be particularly happy about someone entering her "territory" and mucking things up. He should probably stop the girl from continuing down this dangerous path... for her own safety. He silently approached the girl, placing his plump body just out of what appeared to be her reaching distance, and gave an impressive meow, fixing her with a surprising recreation of a bemused look.

Robin already had the first two shelves organized and wiped down. They looked much better now that the wooden shelves seemed to glisten in the sunlight. The rest of them still needed to be dusted off. She knelt down for the last few shelves, pulling the books stack by stack to place them on the floor. Come to think of it, when was the last time the librarian had cleaned the floor...? After this Robin should wipe the books off as well. No one likes a germ filled book, especially her. Or a dust filled carpet. Not to mention the smeared windows that lurked across the room; they practically smirked at her! Ah, heck, she'll just have to deep clean the entire library. She did a much better job than the janitor anyway.

I'm not calling you a thief
Just don't steal from me

Somehow in the middle of her concentration Robin didn't notice a large ball of orange fur creeping closer. So when a large meow came a few feet away she startled, her arms flailing every which way to keep her balance while knocking several stacks of books in the process. She glared in the creature's direction to see the large orange cat staring at her. Not just exactly staring though. The fluffy thing had an interesting expression on its face, like it had a mind of its own.

I'm not calling you a ghost
Just stop haunting me

Either way this didn't bode well for Robin nor the library. Having an animal such as this around would bring one of the worst things ever: fleas. Brushing herself off, Robin stacked the books back into their respective piles while grabbing one of the largest ones to use. "Here, kitty kitty kitty," she called out, inching towards the cat with the book raised high.

Luke Cole

Awkwardly making his way into the library where there were small groups of chattering students discussing different books, and assignments. Luke held a book in his left hand and had a music device in the pocket of his jacket.

He didn't recognise the people in the library, he sat down in a seat that was slightly away from the rest of the students and read his book.

Lucy Blake

Lucy elegantly made her way into the library, this seemed to be the destination of all the students. She had her eyes set on a classic novel, she would spend as much time she had on reading it. She walked through the aisles skimming the spine of each book. Aha! She found it, she slipped the book out and walking out of the aisle, she saw a cat. Cute.

She sat at a desk and begun reading.

"I would appreciate it if you DIDN'T attempt to brain my cat." Verne said as she peered around a bookshelf at the end of the aisle. She gave the bespectacled perpetrator a withering look. "Especially with school property, or is damaging library books suddenly acceptable behavior?" She approached the girl, ignoring the glare the gigantic orange cat gave her as it sauntered away and around a corner. "Wait a minute... What exactly are you doing here? Building a book fort?" She looked around at the piles of books scattered on the floor, an incredulous look on her face. Of all the infernal cheek! Some people just had no respect for librarians. Did this girl even think about how long it would take her to put back and reorganize all of these-

Her wandering gaze froze as it landed on the shelves closest to where the girl was standing. They were... completely disorganized. COMPLETELY. There was no way it could have gotten this bad so quickly, she had just gone through this section! Had this girl... had she been mixing the books around? Verne turned and stared at her, a murderous expression on her face. There were at least two shelves that were now completely in turmoil... well, not turmoil per se. technically, the girl HAD organized them... into a format that Verne's library didn't use. To her, it stuck out worse than a flamingo on a salt flat... but there was no need to go killing anyone.... right? It looked like the girl had just been trying to help... in a really, REALLY ANNOYING WAY.

Verne took a deep breath before speaking. "Okay look. I see you've... taken the liberty of... reorganizing a few of these shelves. Thing is dear, you really should ask before doing something like that, because lots of libraries use different systems for cataloging their books." She pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose, and fought of an exasperated sigh before continuing. "For example, in this library, everything except for fiction is classified under the Dewey Decimal System. Fiction is classified in simple alphabetical order based off the author's last name for quicker access. What you're doing here is alphabetizing a section that isn't supposed to be alphabetized, okay? I appreciate the thought, but you really should have asked first, because now, I'm going to have to spend time I could be using to do other things, putting all the books you moved around back into their original places... and placating my cat."
