This world is where it all started. The first to be attacked by the heartless, which in turn led to the choosing of the Keyblade Wielders. The town is rather large. It's built on the ocean, and is built at the base of and atop of mountains that are covered in thick wilderness. The town is the only one in this world, the rest is wilderness.

The sun shined brightly through the uncovered window. The sleeping boy began to find it harder and harder to stay awake, before letting his eyes open and take in the newly-lit room. This was much more efficient than an alarm clock, in his opinion. He couldn't just turn the sun off, as much as he'd like to. Ren knew today was going to be quite eventful. The keyblades chose their wielders, and nobody had a choice in this. The responsibility of wielding such a powerful weapon was high, but the advantages it came with were quite wonderful.
It seemed like only yesterday that the keyblades began to choose their masters, though it had been an couple of months. The wielders cleared out the heartless, protecting their beloved island town with their lives. Though it wasn't easy, nor was it quick, they had managed to clear the majority of the heartless out. The town was once again peaceful, and Ren knew that meant it was time for them to accept their fate and let destiny take place. Today was the day that they would leave the home they grew up in and save the other worlds.
A quiet thud was made as the boy's right foot hit the ground; he unwillingly pulled himself from the comfort of his bed and changed from his sleepwear. As soon as he was dressed, Ren approached his window. He had to take in as much of the island as he could today. He never thought he'd leave this town, therefor he took it for granted. Ren knew he would be back, though. He felt it. 'I'm really gonna miss this place.' He thought, knowing he was spending too much time here. 'I guess it's time to meet the others.
As the door slammed behind him, Ren took off in a full sprint down the street. He'd said his goodbyes to his family, not sure if he'd be back to his house again for a while. Right now, meeting with the others and making last-minute plans for their adventure was most important. After about ten minutes of running, Ren finally made it to the park. So many memories filled his head, remembering that this was the same place they all used to meet when they were younger. This was the exact park they'd all come to to play, fighting each other with sticks and making up different rules to the game of tag. Ren approached the swingset, taking a seat in the middle swing. That was always his favorite. He began to swing back and forth slightly, not putting any force into it. He held his open right hand out, watching as a type of blade appeared in its grasp. It seemed to form out of thin-air. Soon enough, the others would meet him here. Where would they go first? What were their choices? The universe seemed so much larger now as he realized that they'd be leaving their large island town. So many different worlds, and so much responsibility. Ren knew he was ready for this, though. Destiny was beginning to take its course.

Today was the day. She never thought it would actually come, but it did, and there was even some part of her, deep down inside her, that was softly whispering, 'are you really ready?' She didn't care, she wasn't going to listen. Even though already seventeen, this really felt like it could be the start of something. The start of her... adventure! The one she had been longing for since she was a little girl. She'd always loved the pretty pictures in her grandmothers books, of pirates and warriors, and brave adventurers and conquers. Heroes. She believed she could be a hero; a savior; an adventurer. Maybe finally get to meet all the other key blade wielder who had been chosen just the same way as her. The day... it was still as clear as day to her; etched in her memory which she would not; could not, ever bring herself to forget. Of coming home to the absence of her grandmother's voice, while the sky broke open in to a looking abyss, and strange, shadowey creatures, the ones she'd always see in her nightmares, nearly... Well, that's when the key blade chose her. It was her real savior. It was almost as if it had a voice, like she couldn't rely on anyone else the way she relied on that key blade. It was as if a replacement for the family members she'd lost, but she was hoping it was this key blade that could possibly lead her to the whereabouts of her grandmother, if still alive. No, no, no. Not if. She was still alive! She had to be...
The loud shriek of an alarm clock bellowed, but it was quickly silenced by the already awoken hand of Hikari, standing above it already dressed in a button up white shirt with a black (elbow length sleeved) jacket over the top, accompanied by a short navy blue skirt and ankle length black boots. Despite the early hour of the morning a cheerful smile of determination and excitement was plastered over her face, which was framed by her short, light blue hair. She skipped out of her bedroom towards the front door. Even after her grandmother had disappeared she'd remained in their house. She loved that it still smelt of her, and she made sure to keep everything as it was, in it's right place. Despite her adoration for her home, she couldn't wait to leave. Finally. To finally walk out the door and meet the other key blade wielders, who'd all accompany each other on their quest to save the other worlds from the nightmarish Heartless. "I'm going now, Grandmother!" She called out, as if hoping she'd hear, and with that made her way out the front door.
Once she'd gotten outside her once cheerful steps slowed and she glanced over her shoulder at her old house. She was actually leaving. This was her home and she was finally leaving it. The question is, was she ever going to return? Memories flooded her mind of when she was a child, playing on the grass out the front, picking flowers and playfully chasing the neighbour's dog. She shook it off, and quickly turned back around and forced herself in to a bit of a run, a smile once again forming on her face. After a couple minutes of running she'd finally spotted the park where it was that they were all supposed to meet. She slowed her pace upon reaching it, and began looking around. Her eyes quickly landed on a silver haired boy, sitting on the swing set, and to her astonishment she saw a keyblade form in her hand. She couldn't help but gasp loudly. She'd never actually seen anyone else wield a key blade, and it was still somewhat surreal that she was about to meet possibly dozens of people just like this. She held her hand behind her back, and leaned back and forth from her heels to her toes for a few moments. She took a deep breath and slowly began to walk towards him. "Hi!"

The weight of the blade was nothing as it was held tightly in the hands of its young master, Ren. It felt no heavier than a feather, as if it wasn't really there in the first place. It was his weapon; no, it was more than that. It was an extension of his very own heart. His heart was strong; was that why the blade felt weightless? Was it because it was such an unusual weapon? As Ren swung the weapon gently, he couldn't stop thinking about this. This weapon was connected directly to his heart, and it would be his treasure until the day he died.
Not long after sitting at the swing, Ren noticed a young, blue-haired girl approaching him. She was quite pretty and seemed to be in the same age group. This girl must have been one of the chosen teenagers as well. Though they'd all been together at town meetings, Ren had never looked at each one of them individually. It was always "the keyblade wielders", never the individual wielder. Well, if this girl was who he believed she was, Ren knew they'd have to be friends eventually. 'Hi!' Her gentle, feminine voice rang out. It was a relaxing greeting, definitely making Ren feel more than comfortable around her already.
"Hello. My name's Ren." The boy answered, his voice softly gliding from his mouth. He kept himself focused on the timid ocean that laid within the girl's eyes; it reminded him of the waters surrounding the island. He couldn't help but image how this girl would definitely remind him of home after they had left. Her hair and eyes reminding him of the waters surrounding his early life, and her personality already reminding him of the rest of the people in the town: Pleasant and welcoming. Ren couldn't help but wonder when the rest of his peers would show up. They'd all have to be here eventually, and he couldn't wait to meet all of them. Each person would make a huge impact on the rest of his life, and it wasn't really within their control whether they'd be friends or not. They'd have to be allies either way.

Hikari couldn't help but take her eyes off the silver-haired boy for a moment to glance down at the keyblade in his hand that he swung back and forth gently. She'd never actually spoken to another keyblade wielder, let alone seen someone else wield one. Suddenly she didn't feel as special and unique as she once did... But as his soft voice spoke, she couldn't help but return her gaze to the boy's face. She smiled happily, "Nice to meet you, Ren!" she enthusiastically shoved her hand out in front of her as if to shake his hand. He didn't seem as excited about the whole ordeal as she was. She doubted anyone was as excited about it as she was, which she couldn't understand. It was a big adventure that they were all about to set out on together. And what better excuse was there to get as close to people as possible.
"I'm Hikari!" she said, smiling brightly. Her eyes almost glistened from excitement. She seemed to like this boy already. At least he was friendly, not everyone was these days, and a lot of people usually disliked Hikari's outgoing and optimistic nature. She hoped she would be able to make close friends with this boy. He had a pretty keyblade. And a pretty face too.
She glanced around curiously, seeing that there was no one else about yet, "I guess where the only ones here, then, huh?" She returned her gaze back to Ren, cocking her head to the side with a smile. She wandered how many other key blade wielders were going to show up. If any... Wow, what if no one else showed up? Hopefully she was wrong.
