Smuggler/Scoundrel/Gun for Hire Rod'rlilk looked at the glove before he slipped it on. He appreciated the fact that it was lightweight but he was still a little nervous about the fact that HK-27 said "if" and "should". "Are you sure this is safe. I really wouldn't want my hand being dissolved off or something like that." he said.

" Spoke HK-27 with a confident tone in his voice, before continuing with his instructions. " Instruction: First master, i have added a power level panel to the device. This will allow us to test how much power we can put into the strength of the shielding, the red is the overload section... the green is the same. Also if you notice a few extra bulky things on there, that is scanners and power recorders with fail safes... making sure you slowly dial up the power every 5 minutes until you hit 100 percent. "

Smuggler/Scoundrel/Gun for Hire Rod'rlilk listened to the droids instructions and followed them to operate the shield properly. After following the instruction, he activated the shield to see whether it worked without having to use the safe fail.

The droid watched as he started to tune up the power to the shielding device, knowing that it should at least be safe. It was in the 30's when the shield had safely engulfed him, and it was climbing higher. As it hit 75% the fail safe kicked in and the entire machine shot itself down, like the HK unit said... it was there to prevent him from being damaged. Pride of his results, the HK unit spoke to his master in certainty. " Proud Comment: Yes, very good. " " Statement: Master, it would happen to appear that the shielding device is actually a lot closer to completion then my programming suggested. This is good, I can examine the the fail safe and see what the problem is. " " Conclusion: But I must say master, this test went better then I thought it did... I should have the problems worked out by tomorrow. "

Smuggler/Scoundrel/Gun for Hire As the shield automatically shut down, a little wave of relief went over Rod'rlilk and gave the shield back to HK-27 so that he could work on it more. "Thats good." He said as he watched the droid work. "Maybe we should head to Nar Shadda, and see if the black market has any of the parts that you need." he suggested, waiting for Hk-27's response.

Collecting the device back from it's master, HK-27 placed it back down on the work bench and started back to work. Using the tools to open it up and started working on it's inside components, making sure nothing was fried in the process. As it's master suggested that they head to Nar Shaddaa, HK-27 spoke to it's master as it worked. " Questionable Answer: Of course Master, But I'm not sure they make my programming anymore anyway... " " Request: I do ask that you make sure and run over them all first master, I hate to be electronically butchered by an annoying hidden software virus. "

Smuggler/Scoundrel/Gun for Hire Even going at lightspeed towards Corellia, its going to take a little while to get there. So in the mean time, Rod'rlilk decided to scan HK-27's combat software for any viruses. After scanning it and found no viruses or bugs of any kind, he walked back to where HK-27 was. "Well I scanned it and it seems to be clean."

HK-27 was making something before it's master approached him and gave him the update, This made HK-27 happy in his behavior core at it spoke. " Theory: Okay master, let's get started on installing the arm first... make sure you check my diagnostic bay every minute to make sure. I hate to be reactivated to see something i regret. "

Smuggler/Scoundrel/Gun for Hire "Ok then." Rod'rlilk said then got started on assembling HK-27's arm. After about 20 minutes of assembling and checking diagnostics, that arm was finally done. "How does that feel?" he asked the droid.

HK-27 provided instructions in case it's master needed them, it was likely going to be tough considering that all his bits and pieces were complex different in his time then it was now. After the arm was finally attached to his body, HK-27 did checks and ran internal scans inside the pieces of data in the arm to make sure everything is okay... His Scans were different from what his master did. " Warning: Master... This arm has been tampered with, several parts of my arm are of a virus that has a mirrored effect to them. Also this arm has seemed to have been modified with a remote detonation device, Very cleaver...." "Fortunate Irony: If I had not did the scan before activation, the ship may have went up in a ball of flame master. Ejecting arm now master... " Spoke HK-27 as he ejected the arm out of his body, thankfully the arm was never activated to be used.

Smuggler/Scoundrel/Gun for Hire Rod'rlilk caught the arm when HK-27 ejected it. "Well...then I thank you for not activating the arm." he said then heard an alarm sound coming from the cockpit of the ship. "We're approaching Corellia. We'll finish this after the cargo has been dropped off." He then made his way to the cockpit and slowed the ship out of hyperspace and descended towards Coronet City. [Exit to Coronet City]
