It's scary to think that someone you talk to on the internet suddenly vanishes they could in fact be dead.
I was on the other side of the wall where the gas water heaters caught on fire (they were pretty old but we're still not 100% sure why)

Been staying in a hotel with a rented laptop but that ends tomorrow. And yes I'm okay, physically anyway. We found our cat yesterday morning after we had no idea if she got out or not (she had been outside when she is an indoor cat only), had to take her to a 24 hour vet but she's okay now and staying at my dads.

oh no!!!
we had a kitchen fire at Christmas and had to live with friends for 2 months because it stank so badly of smoke.
so what will you do?
i am glad for two things:
you are ok
and so is your kitty.

Thanks everyone. We're currently staying at my dad's place till we can afford an apartment.
The house might be able to be rebuilt but even the outside walls may not be sound enough, either way, we have no plans of going back there and I'm sure it would be more than half a year anyway.
