You make me want to punch you in the face. Do you even like any characters besides your beloved Makie and Ako? I don't understand why you're a fan of the series if you hate so much about it.
i like nodoka so much, that im just obsessed with her as makie and ako (not to mention that i've been obsessed with haruna and the cheerleaders lately.) i also like the twins, as well as evangeline, chao lin shen, mana, ku fei and other characters that i can't name at the moment. i really liked vol. 6 of the manga.
That's nice but when you single out Kotaro like that, you piss a lot of people off. Remember when i used to hate Setsuna? Everyone practically wanted to punch
my face. o_o
Eventually you'll like everyone. There isn't anyone i hate anymore.......well besides certain producers who brought us a hidious TV series last year.

I think a few
dedicated fans will have a hard time enjoying this new anime because it is indeed a remake. I think since they will be year 3 middle school students, this will pretty much be like vol. 1 & 2 fillers extra fanservice etc. are removed [when the class was 2-A]. But hopefully they will retain some of the trademark characteristics of the series, like the Baka Rangers and such. All of the seiyuu are coming back as well, so that'll be an awesome reunion [well, except for Chiaki-san..]!
The character design is pretty cute and the colors are more vibrant this time.
I'm actually looking foward to a non-ecchi version of Negima. More power to the story and action, yes?
The only problem I may have is that since it's aimed towards a younger audience, that the romance level will be decreased, especially the yuri... meaning... no Konosetsu?

Alright being one of those Akumatsu addicts from the AQS boards, here's what I've learned.
The new Negima series is goin' to air October 3 or 4 during daytime hours (as opposed to the typical midnight hours of most anime). This means that there will little to no fanservice.
