Hearing the man unsteadily following her up the stairwell, the lady tried to increase her pace, finding her efforts pointless when he took hold of her dress and slammed her into the wall. Her expression remained smug as his hand clasped around her throat, feeling his breath brush her skin as he whispered to her. The lady chuckled to herself, or as much as she could with his hand locked on her. This was the part she enjoyed; he may have in his grip, but she was truly the one in control. "What's wrong, Sir? she hissed back to him, trying to get her hand out of his grip. The lady leaned in closer to him, beginning to shift her weight to get a better position. "Can't you feel it? Those particles spreading through your system... Blending with your energy... Your blood..." The lady swung her hip into the man's side, quickly forcing all her weight into turning him over and thrusting her knee sharply into his abdomen so that he would finally let go of her. She watched the man keel over with satisfaction, rubbing and stretching her neck. "I didn't think so." She for the stairs again and climbed them rapidly, soon finding herself in a many-doored hallway. The lady took out a small opaque crystal from her dress and placed in her palm. They send me to find a priceless invention and all they could tell me is his flat has a stupid crescent window? she thought angrily, the man's unceasing retaliations truly testing her patience. ((OOC: F.Y.I., let me know if there is anything I write about that you think should be changed, because I may sometimes go overboard... I'm never really sure... ))

Claivern OOC: Go as wild as you want, I'll just retaliate with some of my own ;3 Makes things more fun when things go over the top sometimes. Feel what? What could he possibly feel that would be able to be picked out over his throbbing head and dizzying composure, oh that's right, the most minute particles passing through his veins; how could he possibly miss that? He rolled his eyes."What I feel is a borderline of being drunk and physically ill." The man retorted sarcastically; however, wasn't far from the truth."If you just wanted me drunk then you could have just taken up my offer to go to dinner with me."The girl was struggling for control again, to which he fought back, though found in the end that he was again overwhelmed by the sickening feeling in his stomach; however, this time it was from the blunt force of the woman's knee. Recoiling, he buckled himself over with both arms wrapped around his abdomen and coughed out light laughter. It was painful chortling, strained and short winded, and anything but humored; agitated by the woman at this point."Tried to be nice about this." He hissed at the stinging of his muscles in his abdomen as he straightened himself up, keeping a palm flat on it as he did so. A hand reached up to his goggles, producing a small crystal capsule from the framing of the lens."I don't care if what you gave me was poison, I will take care of you even if it takes my very last breath." Taking the capsule between his teeth, he bit the tip of it off and drained it of its contents before spitting the shell out down the steps; all the while making his way up the stairs. His features flickered a agonizing look as what he took began to take effect. It was a common drug for him to use as he used it almost daily, not that it was the safest thing, but it kept him alert long enough for him to get things done. It wasn't a long lasting effect, lasting fifteen minutes at best before it would reverse itself on him and turn his alertness into a violent daze; he hoped that was all it would take.
Ascending the stairs, he could feel the drug numbing him, the pain that drowned him now washing away into a faint tingling that was easy enough to ignore. The man's eyes dilated, only a thin ring of gold separating the pupil from the wide whites; however, this did nothing to hinder or enhance his sight, merely an outward effect and a surety of what was now coursing his veins. His steps grew slower, quieter, and more precise as he came upon the top of the steps where the woman had disappeared to, watching as she came into few.The item the woman held caught his attention, having not familiarized himself with one before, being more of a candle and fire sort of guy himself. If she had to take her time with such an object, she obviously didn't know where the room was, which made him smirk. Drammuz had specified how to get to the place as well as the exact location of the room, the girl lacking such knowledge could surely cost her. Energy alight in his eyes, the fair haired man breached the hall where the woman stood with the crystal, the electric at his hands no longer a brilliant blue but a pure white, having had the color and essence of his own untainted energy drained out by the drug."You never answered my question." Was all he said before dragging both hand along either side of the hall and sending the electrical energy sparking across the walls where they flared out, jumping at each other to meet in the middle and ricochet off one another. Pacing through frenzy of white light, simply taking in the energy and exerting it naturally to keep from being harmed, he again threw out the explosive powder as another distraction, the sparks from the wall igniting the particles, as he approached the woman with haste. He kept two fingers at his shoulder, their tips lit with the same white light as the sparks he sent out in more of a loose flame than compressed electricity. He was ready to strike her down when he got close enough, taking the crystal out with her.

The lady's concentration was thrown off by a sudden flare of sparks around her. Not this again... She gritted her teeth and spun to glare at the man with fiercely glowing emerald eyes. "I am really geting sick of-" The lady's growling voice was cut off suddenly as a bolt of electric energy struck her in the centre of her back, sending her sprawling to the floor and knocking the crystal from her hand. Rolling painfully onto her back, she reached inside her dress and took out another vial, shakily unscrewing it and drinking the viscous contents. Her body squirmed for a second before it relaxed again, a black cloud rising from her ebony lips. The lady smirked, flipping cat-like into a crouch, her head tilted irregularly to one side and her violet hair covering part of her face. "Please... Stop... Annoying... Me..." she stated slowly, rising to her feet. With sudden agility, the lady threw a handful of small onyx daggers at the man's arms, pinning them to the wall. She muttered another series of incantations and watched black energy web across his forearms, keeping them secure. Satisfied, the lady bent down and picked up her crystal again, closing her eyes and finishing her spell. Green light radiated from her palm and shot from her eyes as she rocked on her feet. Her vision swirled into a haze of different colours, an emerald trail leading to the farthest doorway. She blinked strongly to clear her gaze and then stumbled, still elegantly, down the corridor.

The smoke cleared around the agonized figure lay astray along the boards, the crystal it once held catching his attention as it escaped the scene, just a few feet from the struggling body of the woman. Looking briefly at the woman through the electrical webbing of light with disgust in his expression, the man stepped past to examine the item that seemed to be of use to his opposition. He, himself, did not wish to use it; rather, he was going to destroy it. Reaching down, he stopped only a fleeting moment, his finger tips just barely grazing the surface, hearing the woman that was once rolling about in pain. The dark abysses that were now the mage's eyes sharply snapped in the other's direction, head craned slightly in order to see the woman that was unexpectedly getting onto her feet. Blinking, he swore to himself and stood himself; leaving the crystal. The tips of his fingers surged with energy as he urgently spun on his heel with an arm extended for a counter attack; however, his timing costed him.
The sparks hesitantly leaped from his fingers, aimlessly scattering at the suddenness of their master's release. Much of them tore into the walls, tossing and crumbling the make-up of them, while the others jumped elsewhere in the corridor. Just as surprised as the dispersed energy was the man that created it, his lips parting in a short winded gasp as he found himself pinned to the wall and, running out of time. He coughed at the combination of the tightening in his chest and the lingering smoke that irritated his lungs, then sighed heavily. The drug was wearing off. The fair haired man lulled his head to the side to see the staggering woman, his dull green hair lightening from the adverse effect of the drug that now diluted his own abilities; natural and supernatural. Still a smirk teased his lips."So, what's so important about this inventor that you, not only are trying to kill me, but denied me a dinner date?" He questioned casually, genuinely curious. Of course, he was just hoping she would take the bait and explain herself thoroughly enough that it would buy him time to regain some energy; enough to stand a chance, his head in a thin fog momentarily. The gaping holes of his eyes dancing around the hall, finding their focus nearly impossible as the fibers worked to contract them to a reasonable size."Or is it even the inventor? If it's the drugs, honey, I swear I can stop." The man's weak smirk widened to a wicked, and very sarcastic, grin; easily humored by himself. All he needed was time. The agony inside easily staved away by his distracting thoughts and words; his head running past him hundreds of ideas and strategies, the mechanics of it all was blurred, however, the moment one would come it would pass without him having time to focus on it before another would float past. None seemed so fitting than to simply wing it, take his chances; at least, until the drug completely was diluted by his natural bodily system.

((OOC: Hey! Welcome back! I'm glad you're not dead or anything ^.^)) The lady paused halfway down the hall, realising the man was, rather irritatingly, still talking. She knew what he was doing; he was trying to buy himself some time. Time that she usually wouldn't give. However, her own strength was not quite renewed, and perhaps entertaining this man for a short while would give her the break she needed. Of course, once she reached the inventor's workshop, she would never need to rest again...
The lady composed herself and turned gracefully on her heels, returning the man's smirk as she took a few calculated steps in his direction. "You know," she said to him, her voice pleasant but her gaze cold. "I have to say, I do admire your effort. Most people give in..." The lady's veins stood out even darker against her pale skin as she came to a halt directly in front of the man. "Right before the fun starts..." Her smile widened, revealing her wolf-like teeth, still tinged with the dark fluid. She reached forward and laid a hand on the man's shoulder, her eyes staring into his. The lady concentrated, feeling the particles of the dark fluid floating around his system, whilst keeping the man locked in her emerald gaze, like a cobra. The dark matter was through out the man's body, in his chest, his muscles, his brain... "Now darling," her voice echoed sweetly through his mind, like a song from a dream. "Please sit down and shut up." Her grip tightened on his shoulder and as the command was sent through his entire system, she smirked, watching him slide slowly down to sit on the floor, his mouth suddenly immobile. The lady knew she shouldn't have done that; it was an immense drain on her energy, one that she could already feel, and she really didn't have the power to spare. But to see how pathetic he looked, sitting cross-legged with one arm still helplessly attatched to the wall above him, she just couldn't resist. The lady removed her hand and stumbled again, a wave of weakness washing over her, but she struggled on. "Thanks, dear." she smirked. Leaning against the wall for support, she began her walk down the hallway again. ((OOC: Sorry if this is a tad too god-modish, but I made it so that she has to look him in the eyes AND be touching him to use that move. AND it also makes her a lot weaker to do it, so I hope it's okay... :/ ))
