Personality: Bright and kind, playful and teasing. Chi Chi has a crush on a certain member of the Embryon and spends occasional efforts to make him notice it. She is friendly and talkative to most anyone she meets, however, and prefers peaceful negotiation to physical conflict. When fighting, however, she prefers to end the battle as quickly as possible...if it's come that far, she most likely won't find the person capable of saving, anyway.
Bio: A young orphan rescued upon a dangerous, unintentional transformation at age 14 in the middle of a crowded street in Sapporo. Dozens of people had to have their memories tampered with or be paid off to forget the things that they had seen. By the time that her rampage was over and agents of the Embryon in the area, several people had been severely injured and half a city block ran red with blood. The memory was a scarring one for the girl, one that continues to haunt someone who abhors violence and does her best to avoid it...but there was a silver lining in that day's events that has always stuck with her...

...How cool and friendly the Embryons who saved her were. The Captain was powerful beyond belief and subdued her in an instant once he arrived, and the group's Lieutenant helped her get under control quick enough that she didn't hurt anyone else. And then there was a Major that stood beside her while she cried and spoke soothing words to her that calmed her own, made her believe that she wasn't the monster that she was...that Major was Shingo Surabashi, on an early commission.

Now she serves with the Embryon and strives to be as cool as the ones who saved her. She tries to talk their enemies down, to avoid violence, to put people at ease...but to be as strong as she needs to be to keep them from hurting more people than they may already have injured.

Personality: Energetic, perverted, and an unrepentant dork. Loves games. Loves moe. Is a bit of a dip, but surprisingly knowledgeable about his otaku pastimes. Admires Butler Manning's gaming skill. Has trouble talking to girls. Like...literally, any girl. He will try, though. And...you know, stutters and whispers and then out of nowhere...BLAM! Shouting something perverted that he took the wrong way. You know, your typical anime protagonist or comic relief character.
Bio: Jo Katsuragi was your basic otaku-shut-in-nerd for most of his early life. For nearly 19 years his life was unremarkable, and his parents, while not rich, were well enough off and loved him enough that they were just fine with keeping their shut-in kid living with them for as long as he needed to in order to make him happy. Eventually, though, the world inside of his room wasn't quite enough for him...so he decided to branch out! He began to double his frequent trips to gaming conventions, gaming contests (he was the Ikebukuro Gal Game Capturing Contest Runner-Up for 2010!), and even made a few friends out of the cashiers of the places he frequented to buy his otaku apparel.

All of that changed when the Fire Nation attacked.

...No, literally, I'm not kidding you. He was watching the pilot of the 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' wearing his favorite Star Wars T-shirt when he suddenly began to feel hungry...like, really, stupidly hungry. He burst out of his room to find his parents to make him some ramen noodles and peanut butter sandwiches with no crusts on them feeling irrationally irritated...like, he had never been mad at his parents before in his life (except that time they walked in on him playing that Destiny/Stay eroge, but he was already 12! They should have known he was mature enough for that) and now he just wanted to EAT them! ...Wait, eat them? EAT THE HECK OUT OF THEM!

...Fortunately, they weren't around, and in his thrashing about the house the neighbors called the police who called the JSSDF when they saw what he was who called the Embryons and the rest was history. He was quickly assigned to work in Inaba after conscription and was named an Ensign. But mostly ineffectual in combat aside from some abilities he likes to think is actually 'The Force', he's still an Ensign this much later and is little use in the field. He's great at fetching things, though! Which his 'Master' (Butler Manning...who beat him once in a game to capture the most girls in a galge once and tricked him into servitude out of his respect for the fatter man's gaming skills) puts to great use these days.
