At the sound of the thump, Snow White turned and saw the dead lamb.
"Oh...we got one. Poor thing". She went to it and picked it up, gently cradling it as if it were asleep. She looked at the huntsman, tears in her eyes.
"Mr.Huntsman...why does my stepmother like to feed on innocent creatures"?

Valkenhayn was more than confused at the girl's question and reaction to the lamb. There was NO way this girl could be a vampire. At the very least, she probably didn't know she was, but still. She had a soul, it seemed. Either that, or vampires were devolving into wimps. "I'm not sure. Wait, does she do it out of simple hunger, or is this a torture/cannibalism fetish?" He asked. He had no idea the queen did such a thing. Was she a vampire? Valkenhayn made a mental note to do background checks on his employers from now on.

Valkenhayn was a bit stunned. He seriously needed to run background checks on employers. He still had a job to do. "Well, I'll have to visit her after the job is done." He said, reaching for his crossbow and aiming at Snow. He felt kinda off about threatening this girl, but he never let a vampire get away.

Suddenly, an odd blur of midnight blue appeared, knocking the weapon from the hunter's hands. It stopped in between them to reveal Dimitri, smirking. "I'm afraid the Queen will have to wait." He told him. After all, it seemed that the Queen had fed on Snow before he had the chance, so this was his way of paying her back. Plus, she was still appealing, so he could still devour her in another sense.

Snow White cowered against a tree, shuddering when the crossbow was aimed at her. At the sound of Dimitri, she jerked up. The second she saw him her heart leapt for joy.
