 Simon just thought in reply to Rebecca "Oh wonderful. I might as well just say what I think as I think it. Because when he knows we're dating he's going to monitor my thoughts like a Hawk monitors its prey I'd bet." Simon didn't know Richard, but if he had a little sister and could read minds, he'd be all over reading that guys thoughts. Simon then realised something, he said everything he thought anyway, the only reason he thought at all was to make sure it sounded right when he said it. He shrugged, it wasn't a big revelation to him. But at the same time it was a little bemusing to realise it that blatantly. Simon smiled warmly to Rebecca before he turned to look at the new woman. "Oh I bet you could." was his only reply when she tried to explain why she made that spectacular entrance. He was curious as to who she was and then his mental question was answered "Nice to meet you Miss Windrunner. Simon Avalon." he said politely introducing himself. He wouldn't intorduce Rebecca, he felt it better if she decided to introduce herself if she wanted. Better to let chose to enter social interaction, than force it on her by introducing her. Simon looked to Lucian and asked "So where did you go once I lost track of ya?" he asked, curious to know where he'd find Lucian if he lost him. He could've taken guesses but that felt childish, and would involve more than one stereotype for all of them. Simon resumed eating his food. Unlike with Rebecca where she could think to him that it was good, or pass him a thread of her emotional thoughts he had to prise information from other people. Usually an arduous taks as not everyone was as willing to make their inner machinations known as he was.

lD r e a m s h i f t e rl Watching as Lucian left to collect more plates and food, she refocused her attention to the table and its current conversation. The mention of flying caused her to glance back to the girl as she realized that she must be in the midst of another angel. Well, that was an interesting thing. Hearing the girl give her name as Amaya, followed by Simon's own introduction, she felt that it would only be appropriate to do the same. "Hi. I'm Rebecca." She managed a small smile before taking another bite of her food. Simon's worries almost made her laugh, but she refrained, or else she would need to explain why she laugh over introductions; if anything, Amaya would assume that she was laughing over whatever had happened earlier in their class, and she really didn't want that. 'He would never do that. His guilt over our abilities is worse than mine.' She continued to eat quietly, allowing the two guys to talk about their day or whatever topic came up.

 Lucian Crow "I went to the library, just looking for some good reading material. That's when I met up with Amanya, we just chatted a little then headed back here." Lucian replied somewhat bluntly. He left out the details of the planned investigation, he didn't want to give Rebecca and Simon any grief over dinner. He'd fill them in about all that later, somewhere private. To be honest he still was amazed that Amanya was so willing to help him. He was worried he'd seem like some sort of lunatic by asking her out of the blue like that.

Simon was a littel surprised. But it faded quickly as he came to the conclusion that he didn't know her brother and as such couldn't draw judgements. "Ah well. I still feel being open is the best solution. Heck, it makes everyones life easier. Regardless of mind reading powers and such." Simon thought in reply. But he turned his attention back to Lucian as he replied. "Ah. The library you say? I hadn't taken you for a man of books Lucian. To be honest I only like novels, and even thats a stretch." he laughed a little, some books on fact were moderately interesting. But he usually only read the part that interested him before he put it down again. And thinking on that he looked to Amaya and asked "So, what sorta books pique your interest then?" he asked it as a general question, but felt that Amaya particularly should answer. More to drag her attention from her spectacular landing this morning.

 "Oh, I like just about anything," Ammy replied with a smile. "Today I thought I'd read up on the various magical creatures around. It's going to be quite useful, I'm sure." Her eyes drifted down to her plate as she took a bite, still feeling a little bit awkward. Running into the two guys she dubbed the most attractive from flight class again- and on the same day of her humiliating failure- left her feeling a little nervous. She tried to shake it off and think about something else. Aegis... I can talk about all this to her later. Internally, she sighed, wishing she would just relax more.

Huh? Oh, hi. I'm Rebecca Lawrence. Hearing Simon's last thoughts on the matter, she smiled faintly. Her brother would indeed like him, she was sure. Every one of his policies, including the one on being open, sounded just like the sort of thing he would agree on. Rebecca continued to eat quietly, focusing on the task of keeping most thoughts from her mind, namely Lucian and Amaya. The talk included the library, a place on campus that she personally liked as well, and found always held a wonderful amount of knowledge. There had never been a time when she couldn't find some material to help her in her studies. The other girl was also noticeably quiet, making her wonder if she wasn't any closer to the two than Rebecca was. Yet, over the span of several minutes, she noticed that Amaya was appearing more restless, and clearly had something on her mind. Tempted to find out exactly what the matter could be, Rebecca simply focused on the meal until the girl got up and excused herself. Raising a brow, she kept to herself, letting her go with a small 'goodbye'.
