double post but... in THIS Rp .... M'lan is attacked with an item (club)..... but to try and reduce damage i wanted to have Asoth try and defend him snice M'lan can't defend himself how would that work? .... is M'lan still stunned from the blow and just looses points as a normal defensive action would be? ... or would that stun turn onto Asoth instead, leaving M'lan able to attack? *is a bit confused*

Meepfur Would it be okay to make an invented character, but specify that you don't want them considered for becoming 'real' at the end of the event? Just to have extra characters to toss into fights, but that you aren't necessarily attached to. This is perfectly okay. Just note somewhere that it's a character not to consider =3

Thanks! biggrin Another invented char question. I have an already-approved handler without a wher - could I invent a wher for her? Like, bonding to a wher whose original handler died in the fighting or what have you.

Revel1984 I know that Gold Dragons and Whers can use their ability once per fight.... but in using that ability ... do i forgo the attack/accuracy roll... since it's a Mental thing... a Gold wouldn't exactly be able to miss with that. OR... would i use the ability and then use my attack/accuracy roll as a follow up attack after using the ability? The ability can be used once per fight, affects only dragons (in the case of a gold dragon) and lasts one turn. There is no need to roll 'hit' but it takes up an action slot and affects ALL dragons - on your side and not, so remember the friendly fire. You cannot attack in the same turn as the use of the ability.

Revel1984 so i don't roll a dice when using the Gold's ability then Skie?.. i think that's what i'm confused on at the moment luff <3 No dice rolls. But make it extremely visibble (large bold font or something) that you're using the ability. It's once per encounter/fight so if you use it now, it can't be used again for the rest of that thread.

Like, bonding to a wher whose original handler died in the fighting or what have you. (that's so weird, I've checked this thread like 5 times today xD and I missed this!) I'll say yes. It will be the tandem play between the two we'll look at for awarding purposes then. Otherwise the invented Wher will be 'killed' in combat near the end of the event as per the stated conditions.

If a wher has -2 to all rolls and rolls a 2 to defend does that mean they fail to defend their handler or otherwise?

Mortane If a wher has -2 to all rolls and rolls a 2 to defend does that mean they fail to defend their handler or otherwise? It means they don't soak any damage. ^^ 2-2=0 soaked

But the wher would still take the full extent of the damage then, right? =o If they jumped in front of their handler to block...? *double-checking*
