Soothsayer Jeckal Lady Golightly I think that Brett Screwed himself by getting reeeeeeeeeally greedy (did you SEE him in WCW.. yeah they didn't know what to do with a star like him.. and Brett himself says so). Also it's kind of retarded of him to never want to lose the title in Canada (Montreal is NOT his hometown). Being a hometown hero is one thing, but trying to say that all of Canada is a safe haven for you as a title holder... that's really retarded... Any other wrestler could have claimed the same from their respective countries. Bret didn't care about WCW. His whole plan with Vince was originally he was going to go to WCW and not do anything and just slack his way through his year, then return to WWF. Vince even encouraged him to talk with WCW. Bret wasn't scheduled for Nitro the next night, he did appear there though after the screw job. he was going to go to RAW and deliver a fairwell spech and hand over the belt. Sinally, the Canada incedent wasn't that it was because of the whole home country. It was more Storyline. Bret was considered Mr.Canada and The Has Been Kid was like Captain America. it really pitted two countries fan base against eachother. (Bret bood in America, cheered in Canada and Vise Versa for Micheals.) Bret did not want his character to be defamed by being forced to job to a guy that blew his nose on the Canadian flag that very night. It was in talks for weeks, and agreed that bret would retain the title. He wasn;t happy with a last minute change, and wouldn't accept it. (Micheals has done the same thing many times.) It all boiks down to this: No one denied Bret had an ego, but is that why he was screwed? No. He was screwed because Vince was paranoid, Shawn was a greedy b*****d, and Hebner liked his job. Thus why they will forever be, and deserve to be bood in the great country of Canada, because They screwed Bret. Although I did like the royal rumble commercial. Crowd: You screwed Brettagus! Lucias Evan Belmont No, however, Miss Golightly backs up my statement with the following: You said earlier that you're not basing your assumptions off of what you saw on TV, then you said you go by what you saw. Then finally when asked about that you hude behind someone else's post. You really didn't help yourself. You know what? I saw what I saw. You aren't listening to me, but what the hell ever, I'm done with the "Shawn vs Bret" thing with you. Noone is right but you. Noone has an opinion but you. There, now we can all move on with our lives.

Thus leaving me to the conclusion that you summarised what happened backstage due to theier T.V characters. Then when asked about it you denied that yet refused to clarify. Others have an opinion besides me, and I will voice mine. Don't get pissy at me because I refuse to change my opinion and stop voicing it to suit you.
