In addition, most of the texts about homosexuals reside in the Old Testament.
I am not religious in any form, but to my knowledge, the Old Testament became obsolete when Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for the people.
Therefore, by saying these scriptures STILL mean that homosexuals are damned, these people are essentially saying that Jesus Christ's sacrifice meant nothing to them.

Just a tidbit you can rub in their face when they fail to listen to your peaceful reasoning.

Okay, so. I am a Christian. I am spiritual.

The Bible condemns a lot of things. It condemns certain eating habit, certain clothing, etc. But there are a few things people overlook.

1. The Bible only speaks of casual-sex homosexuality. It doesn't say a word about same-sex love.
2. It's all in the Old Testament, which became obsolete when Jesus became a sacrifice.
3. There are many ways to translate different words in Hebrew. 'Nuff said.

I wish more people would see/know/learn those facts, rather to throw obsolete crap in our faces.

Wanted to say this is exactly right, and wanted to add to it.

I went to a Christian school growing up, and I've had to read the Bible and one thing I noticed is that Bible thumpers like to pick and choose what verses to use to win an argument. Most of these verses come from the book of Leviticus, which also states that we can't eat pork or mix fabrics, among other rules.

If someone uses the book of Leviticus against you, use it against them right back. Most likely they're a homophobic hypocrite and probably don't read the Bible as much as they say, only using it to protect their close-minded and hateful opinions.

I like how that passage is in the set of rules that's literally only in the book so that Jesus can say immediately afterword that it's bullcrap and he's dying so no one has to follow all those s**t rules.

Ergo, if you use those laws in your anti-homo argument, you're arguing that Jesus died for nothing because gays are bad.

lol wut
