She wasn't put off by her response. In fact, it just seemed to make her giggle softly--that was the kind of mood she was often in. Not necessarily bubbly, but more or less simmering with good vibes. She sat her tea in a different place. "Aww... Why do you say that? Missions are fun! I mean, would you rather sit around the school doing busywork for Charlotte and whoever else feels like training us to be bureaucrates?" She said, thereafter covering her mouth as a cheeky giggle slipped through her lips.

"Ah... I see." It was rather a bleak view to have. She really did feel bad for Zoey in that moment, having learned just how frustrated and helpless she felt. Setting her cup to the side perhaps another half inch, she offered an apologetic smile. "I guess everyone has their place... Have you been able to make any progress?"

Really? So it was bite the hand day, mm? She allowed herself to sigh audibly over the rim of her tea at Zoey. "I'm sorry to hear that," she began with a certain weakness of conviction, likely due to being held accountable for once--no one likes feeling scolded if they didn't sign up for it. A fourth place was set for her tea. "Well then... What would you like to hear? I could talk about my mission, I guess..." She looked off to the side, tapping the side of her disposable cup with her short fingernails.

Zoey would take a sip of her coffee. Placing it down shortly after.
"I don't know.. whatever floats your boat."
Said the pink haired girl, placing her cup once more against her lips.
Interestingly enough, the more she drank, the tamer her voice sounded.
While the attitude could still improve by miles. It was the tone in her voice which softened up.

Hmmm. What would she say? No doubt she had plenty to pull from--things had become eventful even in her short time at the school, what with the 'Saints'--whatever they were about--that one guy possibly waking up from his nap, a few tiffs with the masters of edge...
She would humor her, though, a couple matched sips gave her the excuse to finish and brandish the Olympic water rings she'd been working on the entire--...Zoey deserved to be held in real conversation, to be engaged as to be engaging. A blink of a smile, in all sincerity, was the capital to her sentence: "Well, missions are well. There's this guy--people keep talking about him, supposed to be some kind of prodigy--Idk, though.. I've been on a few missions with him, and every time he's seemed so.. distracted. Like something was holding him back. Idk," she said was she swished her drink absently, "I just hate to see people in that way, ya know?"
