The question
Why is it that we are attracted to things which always hurt us
We know the outcome each time we head into it
We know that things wont get better
We know that nothing will change
Yet we hold on to hope
Hope that we will get that smile, hug, appreciation
At times we may see it, a twinkle in their eyes
But its probably just a light reflecting
I wish for freedom
But the cage I am trapped within
Holds no bars nor restraint
How does one break free of a prison guarded only by themselves
Plans seem so simple
Such as walking away and not looking back
Is there a new beginning?
Or is it our past which binds us?
I feel I have tried everything
Hope seems like nothing but a burden
With no idea of a way forward
And me just staying here unprogressive
Surely I must leave the track somehow.

Indeed, one thing you should never lose it hope, but there are times where even hope itself seems such a burden.

GoldDiggingWhore I remember when I've felt like this. Thankfully I've left such nonsense behind me. I have felt this many times, but Im not saying I feel it at the moment. A couple days ago after a certain discussion , I kinda felt this, not so much in the now, but moreso as a reminder.

While I don't think that hope is a bad thing, I do think that putting hope in some things is bad.
